They sent me a different product than advertised and then didn't refund or replace with the correct item

"I ordered Shimano rear derailleur pulleys that they advertised as working for any Shimano 8 speed derailleur. I trusted that this was correct because the picture was also identical to the existing pulleys. When I received them though, they did not match the picture and did not fit on my Shimano 8 speed derailleur. When I called anticipating they would resolve the problem, they said they would call me back and never did. Given that it is a $5 item (that they charged $6 shipping on), it is not worth my time to hound them about it, but I will not buy anything from them in the future."

Could not have had a better experience with Bicycle Buys

"I bought a Cannondale "Save" seat post from Bicycle Buys and it was at my front door 2 business days later. I was stunned at the speed. The merchandise was packed well and in perfect condition. I read a lot of negative reviews so I held my breath. I will 100% buy from these guys in the future. Price was the best I could find and speed of delivery was outstanding."

"I ordered some shoes for my wife with sizing based on a foot measurement at the LBS. After placing the order I discovered that all of her existing shoes were one size larger. I contacted CS and they modified the order and sent us the correct size. Very nice to deal with."

"Despite negative reviews, I had given them a try. And had different experience, a very pleased one. Ordered a Peter Sagan jersey to be delivered to Slovakia (Europe). Customer service was nice, helpful and responsive. Shipped next day. Delivered in just 5 days."

"Terrible, terrible experience with this site/company. Ordered Mavic brake pads for my new wheels. Was charged $10.99 for shipping USPS, when a flat rate box is less than $9. It is now 17 days after I ordered them, and they are still not here. No communication from the company about the pads being on back order or anything. I've called twice now and spoken to 'Chris,' who told me it was Mavic's fault I didn't have my pads yet. Ridiculous situation - wish I had read some reviews of the site first."

"I bought two bicycle tubes and then returned the merchandise. Hardly worth the effort, but I saw no point in throwing out perfectly good tubes. After a month I called and asked about the refund. I was told that the merchandise was received (I had a tracking number) and the refund would be issued. However I never received a refund."

"Terrible, TERRIBLE customer service!! They issue a 15% restocking fee on absolutely everything, including items that require one to try them on first to find that perfect fit. Upon calling the company to inquire about a return, I was informed about the 15% fee, and that I would get my money back within a week. It took them WELL over 2 weeks to refund my money, minus the $40 I had to eat in return shipping and their restocking fee. Buyers Beware!!!!"

"This site is the worst. I ordered a pair of expensive Sidi shoes ($249.00). I returned them (at my expense) because they didn't fit. Then I saw the 15% restocking charge. The "customer service" rep. was a joke. Just gave me the New York shuffle and a pile of ----- about how it they "give" me free shipping and can't be expected to do that for nothing. I explained to him that I had shipped the item back in perfect condition and it cost me $37.50 in addition. No interest in customer service from these folks. So I got nothing and had to pay $50.00 (when you include my cost of shipping). Wish I had gone to this site first. "

"Would recommend to avoid, terrible return policy, ordered over $160 worth of parts and they still charged for shipping costs, ordered some parts from another retailer the same day which I received four days later, order from bicyclebuys took three weeks. Will never make the mistake of ordering from them again, save your money and go elsewhere."

"I purchased a bib, jersey, helmet and pedals for a new bike over the holiday. After discussing with their salesperson on the phone, we elected the standard shipping - they said it would arrive in time for my departure from that address, so I did not elect a faster shipping method. The products did not arrive in time - to be fair, this is partly due to a storm affecting the east coast at that time. However, I had to purchase a helmet and pedals from a brick and mortar retailer in order to make my ride.
I called Bicycle Buys and asked to return the items. They quoted a 15% restocking fee, which I felt was unfair as I had discussed shipping times with their salesperson and had been recommended not to elect faster shipping. When I spoke to a store manager (named Neil), I found him to be unhelpful, unapologetic, and even quite rude to me. I don't usually write reviews - positive or negative - and I feel like I am not generally a complainer, but this service was abhorrent.

I would strongly recommend you take your business elsewhere - I know I will never shop at this store again.

"I ordered a lefty stem that was virtually impossible to find and I must admit, I was a little hesitant seeing some of the reviews. I decided to take a chance and purchased it last Friday and it was delivered the this past Monday via usps priority. Price was great and recieved the part as described...Very Happy!! Shipping might seem high but in my case they shipped via priority mail and the shipping price charged was inline with the cost to actually ship it..."

"I needed a simple part; a replacement buckle and strap set for Shimano shoes. I could not find a set in bike shops, and the only websites that had a set were either in the UK or bicyclebuys.com. I read the bad reviews and took a chance anyway, since I really wanted to fix my shoes. Well, they shipped exactly what I needed and arrived in two days. In fact, I received email confirmation that the order shipped the same day."

"Buyers beware. Do not buy from this retailer unless you are certain of sizes and parts. They charge a 15% restocking fee for all returns. It took two weeks for them to issue a refund. Part of shopping online entails trying things on and being able to return items that do not fit well or as described. Bad customer service, if that is what you want to call what they offer. Ordered May 12....credit supposedly issued May 30. "

"I will never do business with this company again. I ordered a carbon railed saddle that just wasn't what I expected. I was fully expecting to take a loss on their ridiculous shipping plus the return ship. What I did not expect was the absurd restocking fee of 15%. I have never paid a restocking fee from any online bike retailer. This order will end costing me about $50 for nothing. When I spoke to a customer service representative it was like dealing with a character out of goodfellas. Poor service and poor policy. I will now check reviews every time I purchase from a new site. It seems I am not the only one with complaints with this company.

"I was in the market for Time Iclic Titan Carbon Road pedals and a Profile Fast Forward Carbon seatpost. After shopping around for the best price and free shipping, I chose Bicycle Buys based on their unbelievable prices and free shipping. In no regard was I dissapointed. I placed my order on 12/30/11 and despite the Christmas delays most vendors experience, I couldn't believe it when my order arrived just 5 days later.
