"One more fool and fooled. I wanted to buy a Sony A700 and stumbled across their offerings on eBay. The prices were good and so was the selection. Since I am in Belgium I mailed them for banking info so I could make a wire transfer. I got a pretty prompt reply with the information. I then wired them $1,534 for a kit, thus out of eBay, agains their policies and stripping me of any recourse. Since nothing, no word no reply to my mails (30 +). From abroad one cannot call any toll-free number so they are pretty snug there.
I filed a somplaint with the NY better business bureau for what it's worth (it seems that there are already over 700 complaints against them on file !). Somebody in these reviews asked if there was a lawyer with an axe to grind. It seems to be getting to such proportions that it warrants class action suit, if there is ever one, count me in!
No invoice cumber but proof of transfer avaialble

"Very disatisfied. Ordered without looking at sites like this, learned my lesson. Ordered D300 from web site, this only appears to give them your phone number which they then use to "confirm" your order. I was told what I ordered was Japanese manuals & menus, plastic body instead of magnesium, no battery and no charger. when I declined this they offered a "US kit", with warranty, at about the same price as legit stores - so I accepted. I did recieve the camera on time in good condition, but it has no warranty. reading these posts I see I was lucky!
I am taking a chance and keeping it, it would cost at least $250 in restocking and shipping to return it.
I am cancelling my card to prevent any further charges.

"I am an Idiot! I read several reviews on this site and purchased a G9 from "BEST PRICE CAMERAS" anyway(price temptation). I am not an uptight person in any way. These people made me VERY angry. I kept my cool long enough to get to the manager. Instantly he was on the defensive. As if we had been fighting with customers all day. I believe it!

Long story short... I received a great camera at a higher price than Circuit City. My card was charged $100 more than I expected. When I called to complain they told me I agreed to a "Package" and had proof in the form of a recording. The package included the metal RETAIL version of this camera and not a plastic wholesale camera. They are NOT honest people. Canon does not make a plastic G9. I remember the conversation word-for-word. (because of what I read here) The sales staff are all liars.

I decided it would be better to negotiate than hire a lawyer. In return I received: soft case, 2 tripods, screen protector, cleaning kit, extra battery and extra memory chip. Most of this stuff is overpriced crap! If the manager believed this deal was honest he would not have given me all that stuff. I wonder if it will ever arrive.

If someone out there is a lawyer and has an ax to grind let me know. I will gladly testify against these people. Someone should put them out of business. SOON!

4/14 - I have received everything I expected. The camera is great. I just wish I would have paid the advertised price.

"I shopped around on the internet for awhile trying to find the best deal on a Nikon D40. I came across BestPriceCamera's site in one of my searches and was amazed at how cheap they were selling it for. I ordered the camera on the website, as well as a Nikon speedlight flash.

When they did not send me a confirmation email after a few days, I called them and asked them for my order status and order total. They answered the phone without using their name or the name of the business. Simply, "How can I help you?" They asked for my order #. I didn't have one since I never got a confirmation email. I was transferred to 4 different people, ultimately being on the phone for over 15 minutes! I was finally told that it would take 6 weeks to get my camera. I said that it did not say this on the site and I never even got a confirmation email. The representative then asked why I didn't buy a battery and charger. I was shocked that it didn't come with one. I told him this. He said that I could get a 2 hour battery for approx $149 or a 2 hour battery for $200! I said no, I was sure I could find it cheaper than that somewhere else! He hung up.

I called a few weeks later to check on the order status again. I was tossed around to different representatives again for about 17 minutes, before I hung up and called back, only to get right through, then be placed on hold again because I didn't have my order #. When someone finally came on the phone, I told them that I had been on the phone for over 10 minutes and 17 minutes before that! He told me that if I call without an order #, I would likely be bounced around like that, so he gave me my order #. Then stated that the camera would take the full 6 weeks and wouldn't come in early.

After almost 8 weeks, I called to find out WTF was going on with my order. The representative stated "We cancelled your order." I said "WHAT?WHY?" He said that they are no longer able to get that camera. I said "Wasn't someone going to notify me?? I have been waiting for OVER 6 WEEKS!" He said "We emailed you, like, 20 times!" I asked him when the last email was sent. He said "Today." (March 27) I advised him I had received no email from them. I asked him when they first tried to email me. He said March 14. I repeated that I have not received ONE email from this company. I asked him what email address they sent it to. He gave me the correct email address, which confirmed my suspicion that they never sent an email to me at all! I was so angry! I told him bye and hung up.

I later called back to find out the exact flash I ordered so I could order it from somewhere else. The rep pulled up my order and said, "It says here that you cancelled this order." I told him that I didnt cancel it, the company did because apparently they didn't carry the D40 anymore. He said, "Oh, we carry that camera, we just don't sell it without the battery and charger anymore." I asked him how much that was and why the rep didn't tell me that. He gave me a price of about $200 more than my original bill! I advised him that I bought a battery and charger much cheaper and didn't need the battery. He said they couldn't sell it without the battery.

So I placed an order with Sonic Cameras. HA! I'm almost positive that they are the same company! I wish I had come to this site first!

If it looks too good to be true, it is!

"Scam Artists! I too was misled. I placed an order for a Canon S5 camera, two days later received a call asking what battery pack I wanted (this camera takes 4 AA and doesn't need a battery pack). I told "Chris" that I didn't need batteries. He quickly said that my order would arrive in 6-8 weeks. He was talking SO fast that I thought I misunderstood him. I told him that my order said 7-10 Days NOT Weeks. He then said that I had ordered the "International" camera and for $70 more I could get the USA version quicker. (Classic Bait & Switch) No where on my order did it give me a choice of International or USA. Needless to say, I cancelled my order. He would not give me a confirmation number. I hate that they have my CC#!!! This company has an unsatisfactory rating with the NY Better Business Bureau and operate under atleast ten different names and websites i.e. Hello Camera, Century 21, Inifinity Cameras, Regency Camera, Razz Photo, Best Stop Camera, Enterprize Camera, J & K Cameras, Mr. Accessory. "

"Before I found this website I wanted to order the Nikon D80 package as a coming home gift for my husband in the military. However, they do not have a shipping option to APO's on their website. So I called their sales # to get some help. When I called I definitely got a weird feeling because the guy on the phone sounded rushed and was talking super fast. When I told him how I needed help placing an order because of the APO address, he immediately wanted my CC#. To which I said, "well don't you want to know what camera I want to order first?". Because I thought most companies would tell you if it is in stock before you order it, and how much the shipping would be, and how long it will take to get there before you buy it....? So he finally begrudgingly asked me what I wanted to order, and then graciously waited for me to shut up. Then he asked for my CC# again, and I gave it to him (Bernard). He then told me I needed to buy a battery, here are the prices he quoted me:
2hr battery for $149
4 hr for $179
6 hr for $219
10 hr for $289

When I was surprised that I needed a battery (it didn't come with it?!?!?!) I asked him if I could not place my order so I can have some time to consider what battery might be best. He quickly gave me his ext. 263 and hung up real fast.

I am so glad I found this site, I won't be ordering from them now. I am a bit worried that they have my CC#, and I should had known something was up when the first thing out of his mouth, was "give me your #".

I think I will order it from Amazon, at least they are reputable and if there are any problems with the camera they will not disappear.

"They called me the following day after placing my order online. They kept trying to get me to buy the "American" Canon 40D body (at twice the cost!), but I refused. I was told that it would about 2 weeks to get the camera but my lens would be shipped immediately. I have tried contacting the company repeatedly, to no avail. I have yet to receive the camera body. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! "

""There is no free lunch" comes to mind. If a price looks too good to be true, it probably is. And I wish I had come to this website before I ordered from Best Price Cameras. I got the bait-and-switch from them also - Ordered a Mitsubishi HC1500 Projector for $699. Then I was told it didn't come with a bulb and I'd be "an idiot" to cancel the order now, because he'd give me a 3000-hour bulb for $99! After badgering me to death, I finally gave in. My order should have been $798. When my credit card was charged, it was for $849. Shipping was supposed to be free. I was nervous that I'd even see a package from them. I called for a tracking number right after my CC had been charged. Their "system was down" and I had to call back three different times before I finally got "Scott" in shipping. He told me that Mitsubishi made a mistake and shipped to them in Brooklyn and now they'd have to ship to me in Ohio. He reluctantly gave me a FedEx Tracking number. When it FINALLY showed up in FedEx's site, the package was shipping from Florida. More lies! I'll write back if/when I actually receive the projector."

"I place my order from BestPricecamera, back in January for a Canon Rebel XTi. (Body only) It was a great price. When I called to confirm my order they told me it was backordered since I did not want to be upsold. It was supposed to be in stock by the end of Feb. When I called in the beginning of March, it was still on back-order. I call again today - 3/23/08 and ask if it is in stock, rep says yes, so I ask him to check on the status of my order. He said it should ship in 3 days. Then he askes me if I speak Japanese! Huh????? He informed me that this model has no battery or charger and it completely in Japanese. When I asked where on the product discritpion it indicated this fact, he became very beligerent and told me I would have to call and talk with customer service about that and they were not open today. I again asked if he could just tell me where on the product description it said this as it seemed to me to be a sales question. He then essentially started screaming at me like I was a three year old. I hung up on him after indicating that I would not be spoken to that way. Needless to say I will be calling tomorrow to cancel my order; as well as contacting my credit card company to make sure they to not allow any charges from them. "

"I too was mislead. Right after I ordered, I got wondering if too good to be true was the case here. I called and talked with them and found out that the projector I ordered did not come with a bulb. I cancelled the projector and agreed to have them send the mount and free cable. The web site said free shipping on all of the items that I ordered. Well needless to say that upon arrival of the Items, another 19 + dollars was added to the order. I called and inquired about the refund on two times and numerous e-mails. They agreed to refund the shipping but to this date, 6 weeks later no refund. I can definately say that I will never do any business with them again. "

"OMG, I wish I would have found this site before I ordered from BestPriiceCamera.com, yesterday I ordered a Canon S5-Is for $239, the lowest price I have ever seen, Beach Camera which I know and trust have it for 304 I guess I will have to wait and see what we hear after Easter from them, hopefully positive, will update asap and if my experience is negative they will go on rippoffreport.com

Well I should have known better and am lucky this time, BPC.com called to confirm my order and were very polite to me on the phone and the attempted up sell then he asked me why I want the kock off camera for $239 when I can get the full version USA model for a special of $319!@#$%^&, no mention of this in the ad except when you click on items included on the knock off there is nothing included, no cables no manuals no warranty very mis-leading, I cancelled and will buy it locally where I can feel and touch it.

"I just stumbled into this store, they had the new Pentax K20D for the super low price of 799!

I ordered it. But it felt... well, weird. No one has that camera for that price. I got suspicious and called them up. After calling up 3 times just trying to verify my order and being dropped to voice mail twice i finally got to talk to someone who told me tried to up sell me because supposedly the one at that price is the OEM body, no manual, software, battery etc... he suggested that i get the the retail kit for 1199 or something. A fair price to be honest but no where near the 799. I said no thanks, just give me the OEM. He then said that the OEM would be at least 6 weeks. After how hard it was to just talk to them i said that they should just cancel it.

I called my credit card company to put them on alert just in case they try to screw me but... oh well. I guess the old adage is true, if it looks too good to be true, then it probably is.

When i shared my pain on my favorite chat board they said that i should have checked here first. It appears they were correct.

Internet needs a BBB sort of system for this kind of stuff.

"BAIT & SWITCH...if you don't switch you wait and never get your order. December 26,2007, I ordered a Nikon D80...the cheaper package. After waiting a month, I called and they said it was coming from Japan and they should get it soon, BUT if I just ordered the next more expensive package ($250 more) I could get it ASAP. I said no.

March 19, 2008 -called today to cancel the order and was told that they didn't have the order in the system. I told him that i was shocked since I was staring at their email confirmation. This company should be investigated by the New York Attorney General. Or, maybe we should get a class action lawsuit going against them DON'T USE.

"I made an order online for a Canon EOS 40D for The GREAT Price of 549.00

Ok so it sounded to good to be true, but it was worth the try.

I talked to Steve yesterday and he said it was in stock and would be shipped today (Tue) Today I called and talked to CHAD, Yes Chad !! He told me that if I put his name in here he would not charge me the canceling order FEE... So thank you for that CHAD ;)

Anyway Chad told me that the Canon I ordered is on Nationwide BACKORDER and he had no idea when it would ship.... LOL, I told him about this site and said that after reading a few of these I kinda knew what was going to happen,...... AND POOF, it did !! lol

OK so I canceled my order and now I think I will look elsewhere.

DO not use this company!
