"I ordered a Samsung 32" TV from the Best Buy store in Beaverton Oregon on Nov 28th. Good people good service. I requested on line a confirmation of the order the same day. It took a week to get it. Never received an order or tracking number. I waited a couple more days and went back to the store and a very nice girl at customer service found it had been sent on the 8th day. I"

"Best Buy has the worst trained managers possible, rude, unhelpful, unfriendly and pathetic. I had an issue with software and I understood their return policy. I just wanted to trade it for a program that would not screw up my computer like the program in question. I offered to pay the difference for another brand but was met immediately with once opened, it is your problem now. They can sell it but don't care after they have the cash. I have had many problems with Best Buy on honoring pricing, customer service issues all met with indifference. Their managers simply do not care. It must be corporate policy to be difficult and indifferent. I am stupid for continuing to go back. This time I believe I have finally learned my lesson, I will never spend one more dime at Best Buy."

"Bought a gateway laptop online on Cyber Monday. I passed up on other deals to purchase this one. I got a comfirmation and a shipping date that promised delivery 12/6. All good. On 12/7 I still hadn't received the laptop. I went online and found that they had changed the status to backordered. Called the Customer Service number and found that the menus told you they would not give out any information on back orders. i persisted and talked to a representative and they said they didn't know anything and would I like to cancel my order? I tried talking to the store going online to their help forums and never received an apology or help. There were hundreds of other people online showing the same issue. moderators online were rude and held the attitude that this was acceptable business practice. Appears to be fraudulant practices to me. Don't do business with them"

"Ordered BlackBerry Playbook thru Best Buy.com.
Received an email from Best Buy.com with confirming the pickup date and my credit card is put on hold for the order. Two days before the pickup date, I went online to check my order status and there is nothing there. I called Best Buy Customer Service Dept. and been told my order is in back order because the Playbook is not in-stock. However, I get NO call or email from Best Buy regarding my order (not in stock and back order while the pickup date is still the same date). On the pickup date, sure enough there is no item. Again no contact from Best Buy regarding my order. Again, I call BB Customer Service Dept. and all I got is "we are sorry this sorry that".....and so on....Finally, I decided to cancel my order. After my order cancelled Best Buy again put my credit card on hold for the amount of two BlackBerry.
Now, I don't have my order and can't use the money to shop where else.

"Best buy had a great deal posted for the Asus Transformer, so I pulled the trigger (with reservation).

It took two full days to ship, so no kudos there.

The tablet that arrived was defective (dust under the glass), so I took it back to the local store to exchange. The tablet I bought was the TF101-X1, the Black Friday specially marked boxes for 299.99. They did have in the TF101-A1, which is the exact same product in a different box, but it was full price, 399.99. But of course, even though the X1 and the A1 are the same product, and by the time I returned mine, the X1 was back up to 399.99, Best Buy refused to exchange the products. They offered me a fifty dollar discount on the A1, so I could pay 349.99 instead of the original sale price of 299.99 because of a defective product. In their favor, they did issue a refund, so I took a refund and will buy my tablet elsewhere.

So once again, Best Buy fails to take care of its customers. I rolled the dice and lost. Next time Best Buy has a sale, I doubt it will be good enough to pique my interest.

"I recently tried to purchase a Kindle Fire at Best Buy. I had been assured the machine would be in the store on Nov. 15. We asked what hour the store opened and no-one from the employee we were talking to, another employee he asked, nor the guy who greets you and watches you leave, knew. A check of the posted hrs. as we left answered the question. We returned on the 15th only to have to chase an employee down (seems they literally race away from you)and find out they did NOT have the Fires and had no idea when they might get them in. We went next door to a Walmart and 20 minutes later walked out with a Kindle Fire. We wanted to support BB as opposed to WM who will probably survive a full on depression. Can't waste any more time with them though. Oh, the same day we inquired about the fire we were able to fill another couple in on the specs. for the Kindle3g with keyboard better than an employee could. "

"BUYERS BEWARE! Just got ripped-off on a return of an HP Special Edition Photosmart Printer/scanner. This unit was less than three months old AND I bought the “Black Tie” BS Extra protection. They admitted that there was a manufacturer defect, but charged me $11.00 add’l dollars, PLUS replaced the unit with a much cheaper model. (The Special addition had ports for you cameras’ smart card and wireless capability and more features). They gave me the Photosmart 6510, which is a lesser grade model and a real bad attitude from the manager and staff.
I am not a one-time customer and have purchased some major items from them before. I told the Manager that if she were going to charge me for this exchange, it would be the LAST TIME I would buy anything from Best Buys! SHE DID NOT CARE!
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

"I wish I had seen this review site before I ordered off Best Buy.com. They suck and will never step foot again in a Best Buy store. I ordered a laptop online on Nov 26. As soon as I ordered they cancelled my order. So I called customer service to reorder this laptop. After waiting 1 hour they finally placed my order over the phone. After 30 minutes I receive another email saying my order was cancelled again. So again I call customer service and 1 hour later I reorder the laptop. Suppose to ship on the 26th well it finally ships on the Dec 3rd. UPS delivers it almost to my door on Dec 6th and Best Buy puts a cancel order again on my package to UPS so they return this laptop to Best Buy. My credit card has been billed since Dec 3 and today is Dec 10th and no credit and still no laptop. I spend 5 hours calling customer service because there phones keep hanging up on you. After no luck and speaking to the supervisor I still have no computer and no refund. So I reorder this computer for store pick up and they cancel my order twice again. So another 1 hour with customer service and reorder and stay on the phone to make sure it goes through and all is well. Sure enough after a few minutes they cancel my order again. I email the General Manager of the store I want to pick this laptop up. After one return email, I have yet to hear back from her. So I have ZERO laptop and a nice big charge still on my credit card. I only wish more people would read these complaints about Best Buy because this is the worst possible store I have ever dealt with. Please bring back Circuit City"

"I bought an IPad 2 on November 25 as it was $50 off and I could not get to a store at the time. It was in stock at all local stores, so how long could it take right? Well, they did not ship it until December 4 or 5 and I got it on December 9. They shipped from California to Atlanta and they shipped an IPad 2 with ios 4 rather than ios 5. So I had to wait two weeks to get old stock from Best Buy. I tried to take it by the store for an exchange, but the line at customer service was very long and no one else would do an exchange. I also tried to buy an Airport Extreme router while I was there. Internet showed it was in stock as did their database (3 left) but no one could find one. Had to drive across town to the Apple store. They were great. Best Buy is only good for DVD's and other grab and go items. Don't bother expecting any expertise or stock of good stuff."

"Best Buy shipped a USED ITEM. And it took until 12/9 to arrive from an order placed on 11/26. I purchased a Wii game with a controller. When the product arrived it had clearly been a RETURNED item that was previously OPENED. I purchase it online as a NEW ITEM. Nowhere was there a mention of USED/RETURNED or any other verbage marking it as anything other than a new product. False advertising. Very disappointed. Now I get to sort this out in the store. "

"Im amazed how a reputable store like best buy could serve in such unprofessional manner. I found a product online that said best buy store had in stock. So i went all the way to the store and after looking all over i asked a representative to help me. He couldn't find it either, few more bb workers joined us in search and still couldnt find it, though they checked they had the product in stock. I asked a supervisor maybe he could help us, but he acted like a clown without even answering my question. Then the worker tried to sell me another product which wasnt even close to what i was looking for, after that he offered me to purchase this product in THEIR store and go see if another store has it! There i had it and even if i found a product after all i wouldnt purchase it on a principle! Never shopping in best buy again, online stores are cheaper anyway!"

"We bought a refrigerator at a Best Buy store and the guy messed up our order first because he accidentally canceled our order then the second time he processed our order he messed up by putting all cash instead of splitting it into half cash half credit card. Since he couldn't figure out how to fix it he had to call over another worker who said to cancel the previous order and to create a new order. They both tried, but couldn't figure out how to fix the orders so they had to call over three other workers including the manager while we waited over an hour to buy one refrigerator. Not only did we waste a hour the delivery date had to be pushed back another day. Later we called to confirm our delivery date through customer service and they claimed that the order wasn't processed which resulted in a two hour conversation with the customer service people. They eventually fixed the problem, but on the day of the delivery we waited two hours for the delivery people to come and ended up calling to check when the refrigerator was coming and they claimed they were waiting outside our house for fifteen minutes, but no one was home they gave a phone call. We never got a phone call. We eventually had to reschedule our delivery time to five days later. I am never shopping at Best Buy ever again."

"I ordered online for an in-store pick-up. When I got to the store, I received an open box with items missing. It was the last one in the store so they told me to call Bestbuy.com. I did and of course, there was none in stock. Not only that, the customer service was a bit rude like it was inconvenience to him. I asked to speak to a manager and they put me on hold for 30 mins. I couldn't wait any longer since I had to go to work. Long story short, I was very dissatisfied."
