"After placing an order, I get an email the next day having my order cancelled because they are now sold out. This site should not place orders for inventory they do not have in the first place. Very poor site and service. Avoid them."

"Beware! Bargain Outfitters (aka Sportsman's Guide) are selling unsafe merchandise, and will not honor their "100% guarantee".

I bought 6 of their outdoor chairs and three of them collapsed when my guests sat on them. Luckily, no one was badly hurt, but when I called to tell the company about the defective and dangerous chairs, they said they would only honor their refund guarantee if I ship them back at my own cost. I sent photos to show that they were broken, but they will not be swayed - I have to pay to ship back six defective chairs, or they will not honor their own refund policy (which states you can return "for any reason at any time"). They actually told me there was a time limit for defective returns, and I had missed the window.

Aside from them not honoring their stated guarantee (which I obviously feel is a fraudulent sales claim), they do not seem to care that the chairs are dangerous for outside use. They do NOT withstand the elements, and someone could have gotten badly injured! Apparently they're willing to take their chances on a future lawsuit, because the chairs are still readily available on their website.

While their prices seem like bargains, buyers should be aware that there may be costs that simply aren't worth the savings.

"Terrible customer service - after waiting three weeks to ask when the order would ship, I was told "Jodie was calling the factory and she would call you back today". This happened THREE times - each time the same statment by customer service.TWICE NO CALL BACK - NOW AFTER THE THIRD CALL THIS MORNING AND THE SAME ANSWER - maybe today Jodie will call back? Don't count on it. Do not order from this company!!!!!"

"they have a 24 hr cupon rule if you dont add your cupon they wont apply it later then 24 hrs

this is'nt the norm for anyother company that ive delt with.ask and they make u happy and they are happy to help.. bargain outfiters has a loophole to save them from helping you.

bad customer service and strick loopholes rules
just doesnt help the customer.

we do have the right to choose where we shop and i choose to not ever give them another chance when every other company ive delt with bends over backwards to help you. the one that doesnt will just be a failure. dont invest in this company youll regret it when everyone else realizes how they do buisness

i write this now and they have a 2.4 out of 10 overall

"The service is very good. First I ordered a pair of sunglasses and it arrived quickly. A few days later I saw the price went down by $2. I sent them an email and I got $2 refund according to their low price guarantee.
I order another construction vehicle and there are something wrong with it. I sent them an email for return, I got the response right away. I sent them another email telling them we are going on a trip and I hope to give the toy to my son on that trip and see if it is possible they can send me another one before I return this one. I got an email right away that the toy is shipped.
I am very glad with their service.

"I have to admit - I was very surprised when reading the negative reviews for this store. I just happened upon this website and couldn’t believe it - and no, I don’t work for "bargainoutfitters.com" :-). I have been shopping with them for at least the past 7 years - they are the same site as "www.sportsmansguide.com" and owned by the same company. I have ordered from both and you can call them interchangeably for customer service. Never had a problem. Always shipped on time, always had same good customer service. "

I'd use a disposable email address so they can spam that all they want.

"Deals Galore! I have purchased items from Bargain Outfitters several times and have had no problems. Their daily and email specials are usually excellent, with prices cheaper than you'll find elsewhere on the net. Shipping can take some time, and it's a bit high if you're ordering one item, but this is discount site so you can't expect free 2-day shipping. For cheap mens shoes and clothes it's hard to beat!"

"My experience is similar to many of those listed below. My credit card was charged 6 times as much as the amount I authorized. I checked Order Status on my item, and it is showing as Cancelled. I did not receive any notification of the cancellation, and I also have not received a refund. I spoke to a CSR who was fairly polite and helpful. She told me that they are still processing refunds."
