"Ahhh! Cancel my order please! I just ordered 450.00$ worth of stuff from banana hobby and after reading all of these reviews i dont want anything to do with this crap. Note to BH.com,"If you want to have a successful business on the internet you must gain the trust of your customers since there is no actual physical address people need a peice of mind knowing they can throw money at you and get what they deserve in return with minimal difficulty." Until then, cancel cancel cancel. If I cant through you guys my bank will.

UPDATE:
The very next day my order was cancelled. Havn't recieved my money back but it's normal to have to wait a few days for the banks to undo a transaction. Most importantly, they were quick to help me. Honestly, I would order all of the stuff again, but I need some kind of reassurance or guarantee from BH.com that they at least performed some kind of "Quality Control" before they shipped it. ie: Like a picture of the "exact" product that was ordered and being shipped. Since, they require it to get the right stuff afterwards if parts are missing, seems like a viable option, right? hope this was helpful if anything, thanks.

"I ordered and received my Hughes 300, 400 series helicopter. My first concern was the controller or transmitter was not new. The LED display has scratches on it.

Being my first RC helicopter I intended to practice on the flight sim and using the training gear that I purchased long before ever using the helicopter. As the warranty is only for 30 days I decided to check the helicopter to ensure it worked properly. Unfortunately, it would not leave the ground even with full throttle. The battery was fully charged and the transmitter had new batteries in it.

I initially sent an email explaining my problem with no response.
I used the live chat and spoke with Marry, who was attempting to resolve the issue, when we got disconnected. No resolution to the problem.
I sent another email requesting help with no response.

Today I went to a local RC Dealer. He is willing to have his tech check out the helicopter (even though I did not purchase the item from him). I intend to take the helicopter to them and if there are issues with parts (like crappy battery)I will purchase them from him and send bill to Banana Hobby.

All I have wanted is a helicopter that flys as advertised by Banana Hobby. I would have expected to get new parts (ie. transmitter) when you purchase a helicopter.

Now it would be nice to have someone try and help fix the problem with their product.

UPDATE: As stated by Bailey a tech did phone. We spent an hour on the phone with no results. That was understandable as the tech could not see the transmitter and helicopter. The tech contacted me a day later and advised me of the return procedure with photos and then getting the RM number.

Some of the reviews indicate the long length of time to get anything back from BH. So I took the helicopter to a local RC shop and had their tech check it over for me. After an hour and a half of labor the RTF helicopter was now RTF. If it took a tech that long to set the helicopter up a person with little to no knowledge would never get the thing off the ground.

I agree with Bailey that most satisfied customers do not write reviews. This being my first experience with the RC world has definately not been a good experience.

Rather than go through all the hoops that have been set up in order to get a new transmitter and have the helicopter working I have decided to keep the used items and chalk it up to experience. (It would probably be quicker for the customer if you were to set up a polygraph test. You certainly make the customer feel like a criminal.)

Suggestions for BH: More phones(same phone number for customer service and tech support!!!)
Toll free number(so customers sitting on hold don't spend more).
GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE (will generate return business and double your new space in no time.

"My first order with Banana Hobby went well. Planes are ok for the price paid. I have purchased 4 planes from them. my (nano Corsair) was too nose heavy flying straight to the ground breaking the first prop. After removing the steel block from the nose and balancing the plane correctly it now flies fine. 2 of the planes I haven't taken out of the box yet. My other I use/purchased is the Super scale p51d. Flies fine but I have upgraded the receiver,transmitter,flimsy props,and ESC. If you decide to purchase from Banana Hobby, buy w/o receivers and a transmitter and purchase the Spektrum transmitter Dx6i or 7S or above and purchase ur own receiver as the BlitzRCworks glitch/are low end equipment. Heres how I became another individual of horrible customer service! I purchased my plane/Received the online automated E-mail stating they received the order along with ships in 2-3 days. On the average I waited 4-5 business days until logging into the so called chat with live support where you wait & wait & wait to finally get a live operator June or Raymond (the better of the 2 I delt with)in which the only thing I can get info on was shipping which I got the "we will have a shipping label E-mailed to you by 5pm today" which they came thru on or an estimate arrival on an item that is out of stock. Any questions asked to June I was put on hold where I would wait...wait..wait then disconnected while the automated text popped up every 30 or so seconds stating how important you are and thanks for waiting BS. Raymond was better in answering questions about out of stock items so he gets credit for his efforts. June is worthless!! I recently placed my 6th order on 1-17-12. It was for replacement parts on my planes for backups. After 4 days of waiting on 1-23-12 in the afternoon I once again used the chat support (rep June again) to find out what was the issue with my order. I was told 2 batteries I ordered were out of stock and they wern't going to ship until batteries arrived. HMM, nobody bothered to inform me from Banana Hobby so I asked June to refund for the 2 batteries and send order please. When I was asked if there was anything else I needed help with I typed a question regarding sending a plane back for exchange in which after 5 minutes of waiting I got a quick 1-2-3 step process on returning the item followed by notification that the chat had been terminated. Once again on 1-24-12, I used the chat service at 10:00am after waiting an hour for them to come online with rep June again regarding my plane parts order & reminding her about our conversation the prior day to cancel the out of stock batteries and also props I no longer needed in the same order that was for a new unused plane I purchased from them that I was in the process of sending back in for exchange of another plane they recently stocked on the site. (They mention on their site they will refund or exchange planes as part of their 100% satisfaction guarantee!) June actually remembers are prior day chat conversation about removing the batteries and props from the order but thats as far as it goes. June puts me on hold, I wait 10 minutes to the please wait ur important thank you prompts waiting to hear whats going on with my order then it happens. DISCONNECTED!! I spent an hour of my time and 3 seperate chat attempts in the morning trying to get some info on my request to JUNE at Banana Hobby chat line and got nowhere! I have also sent 3 messages thru their send us a message service and to this day have never gotten a response!! So here I am still waiting to see whats going on with my order now a week later & who knows how much longer this is gonna take. I have to say I'm truly finished with BananaHobby. In my opinion as well as alot of other people who have ordered from them, BananaHobby has terrible customer service period!! Very frustrating & extremely time consuming! Also beware the fine print in returns if you buy and decide to exchange/return an item. They do not make it easy for you. I will travel 2 hours to the closest Hobby shop to me for now on or order elsewhere. Sorry Banana Hobby, but $1000.00 later I will spend my money elsewhere!!

"I should have listened to advice given me. Banna hobby cares about one time ssales.Paid over 400.00 for the Skyraider and for four months I have been tring to get a cowl(OUT OF STOck)!!!!Several calls and several lies I have still not recieved a cowl.Also suppose to send me a landing gear I paid for ND RECIEVED THE WRONG GEAR.tERRIBLE SERVICE, TERRIBLE CUSTUMER RELATIONS And Neither I or anyone I talk to about R/C will ever buy one more thing from Banna Hobby. You guys should be ashammed to call yourself a hobby store. Thanks Banna Hobby for being so loyal to your custumers."

"Let me first start out by saying I have ordered off the intenet hundreds of times and have never left a negative review, until now. Congrats Banana Hobby for being the first. I ordered a MIG-19 remote plane that "Santa Clause" gave my 9 year old for christmas. When my son openned it up the remote control and receiver that we ordered was missing. I sent Hobby Lobby a message only to find out that they were closed until 3 Jan for the Holidays. About a week after they opened up I spent over 40 minutes on the phone waiting for a live person to talk to and eventually was able to talk to Alex in the customer service dept. After a lengthy chat of what I really had/didn't have he eventually said that he would talk to the tech dept to figure out the frequency components I needed and that he promised he would call me back the next day. When I told him I have heard that promise before and what guarantee I had that he would call he said "I'm not like that, I will definetely give you a call tomorrow." That was over two weeks ago. I hate to give a negative review to any company in fear that it is done out of anger/retribution and therefore undeserving, but with a clear mind I can honestly say this is one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with and I recommend anyone reading this review to avoid this company like the pleaque. Don't just take my review into consideration, but all the other negative reviews as well. You crushed my little boy's hopes and ruined his Christmas. Shame on you Banana Hobby!"

"I bought a supposed to be (ready to fly and flight tested) heli from Banana Hobby. On first test run-up a connecting arm flew off somewhere in my yard. I started checking the screws on the head and discovered that all the screws were loose to some degree. Some were not even half way installed. one of the screws was stripped and would not tighten. It took 3 days to finally get through and after holding for 20 minutes i was disconnected.When I did get Raymond on the line I was told to send pictures of the missing and damaged parts. 7 days later I received an email telling me to circle the missing parts in the photo and re-submit. Still have not received parts! I have decided to make a video about my experience and use key words that will get it posted along side their video's explaining the poor quality of their products and their sorry customer service. I agree with most of the reviews here. They don't care about customers, they just want your money. Customer service is a misnomer. For them it should be called customer non-service!
I got tired of waiting for the replacement parts and tired of the run around I was getting and decided to bite the bullet and pay for the replacement parts (over $25.00 dollars worth. I paid for overnite shipping. I ordered on the morning of the 19th and the website states that the order will ship in one business day. Today is the 21st and the items still have not shipped. What the???? If you check with the BBB, to date they have 374 complaints from consumers, WOW, that's a lot!!!
I read one of their responses here that stated the reason for the slow response to emails is because they get hundreds of emails everyday and it takes time to go thru them. To me that means that the majority of the emails are complaints about their poor quality products and service. Why else would people be trying to contact them???
As stated below I did finally receive my refund from BH. I will give them credit for that

"I ordered a R/C truck and extra batteries from Banana Hobby as a gift to myself and it has been (by far) the worst online purchase I have ever made.

Everything looked fine when I received it and everything I ordered was in the box. That's where the good part of my purchase ended.

After charging both batteries, I took the truck out to my front yard and attempted to drive it. The truck would run intermittently for approx. 2min then stop and would not run. After turning off the truck and controller, then turning them back on, the truck would run for another couple of minutes then stop. After it did this a couple of times I decided to swap the batteries - the same thing occurred. The truck would not drive for more than a couple of minutes before it completely stopped running.

I decided to contact Banana Hobby for assistance. Over the course of three days after I received my truck, I emailed them detailing the problems I had with the truck - what it did and how it was performing, I filled out their online help forms, and I finally submitted photos of my truck and all the extra parts. NO RESPONSE TO ANYTHING!

I was finally able to get through on their Live Chat and I asked for a RMA# to return the truck because there was something obviously not right with it. The person on live chat told me I had to submit pictures (which I had already done and told this person such). The person said they found my email w/pictures and said my pictures would be forwarded to the RMA group and they would review my request.

It's been a week since that live chat happened - I'm still waiting for that RMA#...........

After three days of no response to any of my correspondence and another week of waiting for a RMA#, I realize Banana Hobby isn't going to do anything about my truck, they aren't going to fix it, and they sure aren't going to refund any of my money.

So I went to my local hobby store and after a quick look-over, it turns out my truck had a faulty wiring connection to the motor and a broken front axle. A brand new truck, straight out of the box has BAD WIRING and BROKEN PARTS! Nice!!

So for an extra $20 on some new parts (not from Banana Hobby) and a little rewiring, I was able to get my truck to work. With bad wiring and broken parts, I honestly have to wonder if the truck I received was truly new or if I was sold a used/refurbished model as new. hhmm??!!

I will never purchase anything from Banana Hobby again. I highly recommend everyone read these reviews because it's not an isolated incident. You buy from Banana Hobby at your own risk!

"I ordered a RC Plane for my son as a birthday present. I received the plane almost a month later. When we finally received the plane it wasnt the one we ordered. I called customer serivce and was on hold for 25 mins before I hung up. I then went online and used the online chat. I chatted with June for almost an hour and sent NUMEROUS pictures even though we the box was still factory sealed she insisted I open the box and take pictures of all contents. I took pictures and emailed them and she confirmed she received them and then informed me she would send them to the RMA department and they would email me instructions on how to return the plane, she did tell me that she had no idea how long this would take as the RMA dept was extremly busy. Judging from the reviews on this site alone I can see why. I will never do business with this company again and would strongly earge anyone interested in RC planes etc to stay away. The quality of the plane was bad but the customer service was worse!"

"I agree with other reviews, if you want quality and services go elsewhere. Weeks after my order I was told by customer service because of a warehouse move they was behind. (Understandable). That my order is trying to be filled and NO LATER than the 9th Jan will be sent. Well a week later I sent another email just to be told they don’t have the order that was promised a week earlier. They had no problem charging my acct. before they could make good on the order.
Banana Hobby is by far the most unprofessional company I have dealt with online!

"Upon trying to assemble the plane the instruction manual showed how to assemble the landing gear, but there was no landing gear in the package. I had an online chat with a customer service rep in which I spent over an hour and a half giving her information in regards to what all was missing (according to the instruction manual). The customer service rep gave me a link to look at while we were on line and the actual photo showed no landing gear on the plane, I then told Marry (cust serv rep) that the photo showed no landing gear but she informed me that she contacted the "other" department and it indeed was suppose to ship with landing gear. She placed the order as I stated an hour and a half later. Today is 1/18/12 still have not received the landing gear. I contacted customer service again via online chat and got Marry who informed me that this plane does not come with the landing gear which is what I initially stated! I then asked when I was going to be informed that the parts were not going to ship...after waiting 10 minutes for a reply which I never received I closed the chat box. How after waiting an hour and a half can your not know if it comes with landing gear or not???? UNBELIEVABLE "

"Very expensive off road buggy, delivered without battery pack. 'chat' session with service department was worthless. After a 30 minute chat, I ended up e-mailing twice an image of a missing item!? No one ever got back to me. We did manage to purchase a battery pack at a local store, the buggy worked for a while. Now it broke down and it's worthless, like Banana Hobby!
What a waste of money and time.

"I have had about the same lousy experience with a B2 spirit I got 2 days ago..it came with a faulty reciever..I have for the life of me tried every possible contact tney have listed for support to get this resolved..June,Marry,Kikio..I can't stop trying to get this going the right direction I've got $400 tied up into it..I have even thought about forking over the money to buy a new reciever even though I know its covered under warranty..the plane hasn't even left the ground yet!!!Man what do we do about this place.."
