Wow - as bad as it gets for fish hobbiest - STAY AWAY

"I split an order with a friend to consolidate and save on shipping. He ordered mostly barns and 4-5 have died since they arrived 6 weeks ago. However my desired order of fish was waaaaay worse. They sent me fish that were way too small/young - all 5 celestial cloud danios I ordered died within 24 hrs of arriving. Ordered 2 mating pairs of apistogramma cockatoites both pairs at 50 bucks each. They sent me tiny 3-4 week old WHITE GOLD apistos. One had a fungus and died after 2 weeks of desperately trying to save it. I also ordered 2 male double scarlet red apistos and they sent me 2 orange flash apistos. They were 78 bucks for the pair. So to review - around $250.00 worth of fish. The 5 that came and were the correct kind, all died. And the other 6 were COMPLETELY WRONG breed/fish. Over$100.00 for express shipping which was shotty. $350.00 plus = 5 fish I didn’t want. I am an advanced fish keeper with over 20yrs exp. My water parameters are pristine. After half the fish I ordered died within 24 hrs, I looked up the refund policy. They offer store credit!!!! I would never use this garbage service again!! Store credit is pointless. I never have ordered fish online before and now will never do it again. Really wish I saw these reviews before I placed that order. STAY AWAY "

don't buy from them

"i purchased the fastest shipping. they sent it out and it arrived at the post office and never left. I didn't receive my fish not even dead and no one answers the phone or responds to email or chats. DON'T Buy From Them !!!!!"

Poor Customer Service Fraudulent Shipping

"Purchased fish from retailer. At their recommendatoon purchased overnight shipping First shipment was sent priority mail and had several fish deaths as a result Completed fish death report and requested replacement fish to be sent with back ordered fish Second shipment was sent 2 day priority mail and without replacement fish Continued to have fish deaths from both shipments over several days Rest of tank inhabitants were death free and water parameters were in ideal ranges

Tried to contact retailer several times through phone, text and email. Never received a reply

Stay far away!

"This place is nothing but horrible. You will only get DOA’s, and no way to reach anyone in any manner- phone, email, and their ridiculous online chat. Look at all the bad reviews. That’s all you’ll see. I’ve never to date received a refund because they don’t return your call. Can you believe that the one and only time I actually did get my call answered that I was asked if I tried putting salt on my Pleco that was starved to death, and it’s skin was peeling! He said it works like resuscitation paddles do on humans. I ordered plants, and all I received were twigs that just melted into nothing. If you don’t believe this review- just look at BBB’s website and you will never want to do any business with them. Same story over and over. Save your money and do business with anyone else but AZ Gardens. Definitely ZERO stars if I could choose that!!

Would leave zero stars but unable

"Nobody answers email, text, phone calls, received the fish and 2 of them where like a 1/2inch big one arrived dead other died minutes later, and missing fish on the order, worst website for fish, strongly suggest keeping away from this place, by the way been about a month and still haven't got my missing fish or refund

"It took longer than they said for me to get my order and when I did one of ghe fish was dead and the others had ich. I filled out the loss form and no response. They also never answer their phones. Terrible customer service. Will never order from this company again. "

Ripped Off Sending Wrong Order

"Will be contacting my credit card company to reverse payment if no resolution is provided.

I have ordered Licorice Gourami from this place before as they are one of the few providers. My 1st order which costs a couple hundred, had 2 dead fish. That's near 20 bucks a pop. I contacted them 4 times with no follow-up.

However, the other fish are beautiful and I love them. So 6 months later, I decide to order 8 more, thinking well at least the others survived and are beautiful.

Order came in today, 1 fish short and sent me sparkling gourami. The price for sparkling gourami are a buck. They replaced a 20 dollar fish with a dollar one, as if I wouldn't know the difference.

Biggest scam

"SCAM. First & last time buyer. Waited almost 3 weeks for my order.Four of my six plants were brown/ dead. Filled out the loss claim form with required photos same day as arrival. Zero customer service. Almost 2 weeks and an emails to them...no response. They don’t answer their phone but request texts which they don’t acknowledge receiving. Paid almost more in shipping than cost of purchase. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THESE CROOKS!"

"Purchased a few of their products online and they forgot to include one of the items I paid for.... received no response when I tried to contact them about the issue. I contacted the BBB and they attempted to contact them several times and received no response either. This company is horrible. "

"I ordered 2 fish a week ago and they still have not shipped out. Nobody answers the phone when you call. Very unprofessional business that does not come through as advertised. What kind of “business “ is only open 2 hours on Friday??"

Don't get sucked in.

" I was starting a 125 gallon planted tank and AZ gardens website had an impressive variety of plants. Prices seemed a little better than LFS but what caught my attention was the variety. I have been ordering fresh and marine fish for over 20 years and shipping fees were high compared with many other sites, which more than ate up the slight savings over the LFS. I didn't hesitate to agree to the $9 insulation fee to protect the plants during shipping.
Had the company come even close to fulfilling their commitment I would have been satisfied with this transaction, but there was no effort from other than to process my payment.
For a $9 fee, I expected the shipment to come in a small shipping styro. What I got 6 pieces of styro sheet lining the box - overpriced, but still delivering what was promised. The plants (the ones that arrived) also turned out to be overpriced but what was promised. Almost all the plants were small weak divisions that I would have gotten much cheaper locally, not even close to the size described on the website. The val in particular was terrible: I didn't get plants, I got 20 pieces of stolon with a few leaves and no roots. Less than half survived. Again, what I received didn't meet expectations but did meet their commitment. The last straw was when I tried to contact them about the plants I didn't receive but was charged for. Multiple attempts were made to contact AZ gardens over several weeks with no response or acknowledgement. If not for their lack of response I would have been disappointed, chalked it up to a learning experience. At that point I would even have accepted a credit and tried another order - given them another chance. The value of the undelivered plants was less than $10, but intentionally ignoring my attempts to get what I paid for moved this from a minor mistake to fraud. To top it all off the plants introduced duckweed into my tank that I'm still trying to get rid of almost a year later.
If they gave half the attention to customer service that they did to building a slick looking website this could be a decent vendor, but as it stands it's all frosting and no cake.

Don’t waste your money

"Ordered 3 sponges only got two, but they were huge...but the water smelled horrible and were already starting to turn white. I couldn’t even keep them in my tank, the water went brown, and nasty. Had to do water change and pull the them out. Money wasted!! Plus no response or reply back from them. "

Waist of time and money

"I spent $288 on 6 fish received 5 fish out of the 5 fish 3 were DOA. I called, text, and messaged them with no response. I wanted to know why I paid for 6 and only got 5. I also did everything that was explained for credit on DOA. I waited a week with no response. Thankfully I paid through PayPal and they opened a case and I got a refund through PayPal not through them. I think this guy workes out his basement. He does what he wants and not what the customer asks for wich makes a bad business. And in a month later the 2 remaining fish died. Save your self the aggravation and money "

Fish ordered were not as described. Customer service non existent

"Worse place I’ve ever Ordered from. They ship super tiny fish (1/2” leopard gourami), sick and injured fish ($70 doa arowana), I ordered LARGE banded batfish but it came in as fry, knife fish missing, no refund ($13). They charged me $9 for a styrofoam box that I never agreed to pay for because I live in Florida (tropical climate). They don’t answer website messages, emails, or calls. They finally texted me back once but it seems like a copy and paste BS “get off my back” automated message. I’ve never been so appalled by a business before. I highly advise to stay away from these scammers. I reported to BBB"
