Avoid this business

"I ordered an Algae Squad package, somewhat reluctant because the shipping charge was one third of the total cost. In retrospect I should have researched reviews and the assessment of BBB. The shipment was handled by USPS who abandoned the package at our front door baking in the sun (we were at home!). One position of the order was missing (12 Amano Shrimp). There were multiple dead aquatic animals that I reported via DOA report on AAG’s website including photographic evidence. I sent four related messages via AAG’s website but never received a reply. The mandatory DOA reporting at AAG’s website is setup fraudulent because no receipt or acknowledgement is issued, thus one can’t proof that a report was submitted. One week later, the missing 12 Amano Shrimp arrived after having travelled for three days (I paid for 1 day shipment). Of course half arrived dead. I submitted a DOA report again but never received a reply; Consequently, I filed a dispute with my credit card and submitted a complaint at BBB. My bottom line is: Do not order from this business! "

Horrible Customer Service

"I ordered a Red Texas Flowerhorn as well as a few other fish. After placing my order (4/19/21), I had a second thought about the Red Texas Flowerhorn and wanted additional information before my order was filled. I sent an email from the website requesting the information and supplied my order number.

I did not receive a response. I then called the office number which no one answered and did not go to voicemail. I then tried to text them at the text number they provided. I never received any responses via email, text, or phone.

As April ended and my order on the website still was processing, I began to get worried. I order fish all the time online, but this was my first time with Arizona Aquatic Gardens, and clearly, their customer service is lacking, if not non-existent.

Well, it is May 6th; the website says my order is complete, but I have not received a message with the tracking number, and I called, emailed, and texted again on May 5th with no responses.

I have no idea if my order is complete, on its way, forgotten about, or what. I do know they did collect my $200. With my experience with other online fish stores, I would never recommend nor purchase from this company again. Try The ifish Store, bluegrassaquatics, live aquaria, reef4less, and Imperial Tropics.

Please cross your fingers I get my order!!!!

Fish died 3 days later.

"I received my fish without ever getting an email that they’d been shipped, which the company said they did “at the time the package leaves the farm”. Good thing I was home, turned out we had a freak snow. I could see out the window the USPS driver walking up to the house, ROCKING THE BOX FROM ARM TO ARM. Before I could get to the door he had left the package and was already back in his vehicle. I got the box inside and opened it up, got the bag floating in my tank to acclimate the fish to the water temp. After a reasonable wait I released them into their new home. First thing I noticed was they weren’t blue as I wanted ( of course the website listed my order as Blue Oranda “OR” Oranda goldfish) I never agreed to “OR”.
The first fish died a day and a half after I got them, the second on the 3rd day. Only reason I’m giving 3 Stars is because they arrived quickly and alive, and the USPS driver likely traumatized them.

Deserves zero stars

"I received dead snails the plants were in rough shape too but that’s nothing that can’t be fixed I tried to report the loss online but the form would not allow me to attach the pictures so I called the number no answer so I texted the number given on the website and the person responded very rude demeaning and outright unprofessionalAnd did not give me advice on attaching pictures to the form or another way to report the loss I will never buy from them again. Also I never received the tracking number I was lucky to be home when the package arrived."

"Horrible company. They are only in the business to rip people off. They over charge for shipping and still send it the cheaper way instead of what you pay for. Your livestock will arrive dead. This company should not be allowed to conduct business."

Don't do it!!!!!

"Terrible. Where do I even start? Missing a fish from shipment. Was sent cheap goldfish in place of $22 red cap Oranda. Fish described as medium was little more than a fry and died within 24 hrs. Plants are terrible. Snails will reproduce they lied about that too. They are impossible to contact. You will never get a credit or be refunded, and they will simply ignore you. They are very overpriced, do not let the website fool you, nothing of quality will come from here. "

Stay away from this company

"I ordered $300 worth of fish. it took 3 months for them to come in the summer heat. I didn't receive anything i ordered. tried contacting them. For the two in a half months when i was waiting for the email that my fish was on the way, which never came. Then after my fish arrived. they never responded. their prices are to high in the first place. didn't mind paying if i got what i paid for, but they sent fish that was half the price i paid. 7 out of 14 was dead. This place should be shut down. SCAM STAY AWAY. You most likely won't even get what you pay for. Hope this helps someone from making the same mistake I did. If I could I woud give them a 0 star rating."

So far?!?!? Crap

"I ordered 2 red frontosa. They claim what you are getting is 1.75”-2. They were barely 3/4 of an inch. When I asked for replacement or refund, I emailed 3 times no response. I called 3 times no response. Then ignorantly I accidentally ordered from them again thinking it was a one of two places I had ordered before. They have not shipped my now 3 frontosa order and it has been more than a week. I paid for 2 day air 40$ shipping. I have called again and emailed again. Nothing. Great service guys!! Way to run your business. If it is because of covid 19 disaster then say that!!!!! Don’t be fooled"

If dead, sick, or dying fish are what you want, this is the place to go!

"Ordered numerous fish from this place, 3/4 arrived dead the rest had ich or died within days. Reported the DOAs per website instructions, no credit, no response. They don’t answer the phone, they don’t respond to the website, no email response. Finally opened a claim through PayPal and they haven’t responded yet. Don’t be fooled by their lovely website and extensive selection. They are not what they advertise. Don’t do it! "

"Purchased over $300 worth of fish from them that all arrived dead. The company refuses to answer several requests to contact them and replace the dead fish. As you can see by other reviews here they have a long history of ripping people off. Don't make the same mistake I did. DO NOT waste your money doing business with these people. "
