"Requested and received Campy parts numbers to correspond to Alfred E. Bike's catalog numbers. Was able to match them and place order. Ordering process was reasonably easy. Appreciated the free shipping and AE Bike's use of UPS so that I could track the order. It arrived when expected. One part was missing and the packing slip indicated that it was not filled; there was no indication that the part had been back-ordered, so I'll check with them. All-in-all, a good company to deal with."

"My overall impression of this store after this first purchase is that it is a very good and reliable shop. I purchased two separate bike wheels from them, at a very attractive price and in my opinion low shipping cost. The order took a little more than a week to arrive (including weekend), which is not particularly fast, but the packing job was superb. Each wheel was separately boxed, and a slightly bigger box holds both boxes inside. Most importantly, the wheels came in new and shiny as described and in good working order. Although shipping took a while, it is good to know for sure that nothing bad happened in the journey due to the packing job. Thus, I recommend this store for any future purchases for bicycle parts, if you like paying less, good packing job, and don't mind waiting a few more days than usual to get your items."

"Being from Kalamazoo, I wanted to support Alfred E. Bike, I really did. I ordered two tools from them on Tuesday, expecting to get it by the weekend. Living in Philadelphia, I expected that with the 2 day shipping time, I should be able to do so. Unfortunately, they have some arbitrary 1-2 business day hold on shipping anything. This resulted in the part being shipped Early on Thursday.

When I canceled the order before UPS actually picked up the box, the attendant seemed rather indifferent towards making the situation work out and instead let me know that there would be a 15% restocking fee. I basically paid $5 to learn that they sit on their parts before shipping.
