"I love AEBike. They have great prices, quick shipping, and a pretty good selection of components, clothing, and small parts. My only complaint is that the website needs a redesign. It's a bike shop right? Yet the catalog is hidden in the menu bar, and it takes several mouse clicks to drill down to the component or item you are looking for, and even more clicks to actually see a picture of the item you want. Most other websites seem to have an option where you can look at a graphic list of items, or gallery view of items. Still a great shop, but presentation could be better. "

"This is probably my millionth order from AE Bike, either in store or online and shipped to the store. I consistently receive what I'm looking for and quickly. If they don't carry what I'm looking for in the store or the website they're generally able to get it in stock and give me options. Not only have they done well to take care of my orders for the sale, but they're great at after sale customer service. For example, I had a helmet crack and noticed the crack late on a Saturday afternoon; I called them that day just before they closed, but wasn't able to stop down until Monday morning. When I walked in on Monday morning they handed me a new helmet under crash replacement & just took the old one, no waiting for something else to be ordered in. It's service like that which makes AE the first place I check when supporting my bike habit with a new purchase."

Their prices are reasonable, they ship quickly (for free on $75+ orders), and it's easy to locate everything I need. I like to shop locally, but often it can be expensive and time consuming to track down certain parts in the local shops.
The customer service is good, too. Once I forgot to add an item to my order, so I called later and they added it to my shipment with no problems."

"As others have noted, AE Bike has a great selection of goods and competitive prices. In my experience, however, customer service was poor. I placed an order to be shipped overseas, where I live, but used my credit card with a billing address in the States. This is how many expats make purchases from home. When nearly two weeks passed without word from AE Bike--I assumed the package was enroute--I contacted them to inquire about shipping and to possibly obtain a tracking number. I was told that my order had been flagged by their credit card processor for possible fraud, because my shipping address was foreign and billing address was domestic. Fine, I can certainly understand that, as I'm used to have to call the bank myself when they see foreign charges on my accounts and I understand that banks take fraud very seriously. But why would the merchant never contact me in nearly two weeks? Why wait for me contact them? While I realize the specifics of my problem won't apply to many other customers, in comparison with other retailers--I've ordered plenty over the internet while living abroad and this was the first time where my order has simply been ignored--AE Bike just isn't focused on quality customer service. I'd be happy for them to prove me wrong, but honestly, with all the competition out there, I'll likely just take my dollar elsewhere. "
"When I'm looking to buy something for one of my bikes, the first place I look is bestbikebuys.com to find the best prices. 95% of the time AE Bike has the part I need and for the lowest price. I still buy from my LBS for some items that I want to see in person or want to be able to try on. However I frequently buy from web based retailers because I want to get the best value for my money and there is no way I can find the diversity of products from any LBS that I can from a retailer like AE Bike, without having to have the LBS special order the item. AE Bike has been prompt and reliable in delivering the stuff I want in a timely manner. Highly recommended."
