We were in the process of moving and waited to open the boxes until the house was ready first of September (approximately 60 days from date of purchase). When we opened the box, one of the granite tops on the table was broken in 3 pieces. We filed a claim, sent photos and a representative named Manuela Arango replied with "we are not able to provide you with a resolution, since the time window to report a claim was not respected". Are you kidding me? I explained why we did not inspect the boxes within the 30 day period and sent photos showing the condition of the packaging and item. In todays retail world, stores accommodate their customers and don't use policy as a way to avoid their liabilities. AFA Stores just lost a customer for life and we will continue to spend our money with stores that have far better Customer Service. Buyer Beware: "

The local delivery service was a bit touch and go in terms of getting in contact with me, but eventually just ended up scheduling delivery and asked me to confirm that the time slot worked. "I cannot recommend. It took nearly a month for the item to arrive. I may be spoiled by Amazon but this process took a total of 58 days to complete for an in-stock item. Ordered a piece of furniture on May 12th. Paid an extra $150 to have “white glove” service which basically meant they moved it into the house and unpacked it instead of dropping it at the garage. Upon unpacking, we noticed several small scratches on the glass. We called customer service for repair or replacement and was offered $100, then $200, then $300 to keep the piece. We rejected all options and insisted on a new item. After they agreed to replace the item, it took nearly another month to receive the replacement. When we were notified of the arrival of the second item, we asked about removal of the old item. They said they were unable to retrieve the item and issued us a $100 credit to dispose of it ourselves. Upon receipt of the replacement item, we saw that the new item had worse damage than the one it was replacing. Glass panels were not installed and the wood had gouges and scratches. We rejected delivery and had them load it back onto the truck. We called customer service and they offered, and we accepted, a deep discount for the original item which only had some minor glass scratches. It is apparent AFA is simply a furniture reseller without capability to do much except take your order and money. All of our Customer Service conversations were very good. Thye were responsive and tried hard to solve the problem. Unfortunately, they have limited control over most everything such as shipping, inspection, etc. as everything is sub-contracted. Why was a badly damaged article shipped in the first place? I rate quality control exceptionally poor, price was good, and customer service superb. "
