Rented a projector for my event

"I recently rented a projector for my event that I had and they showed up on time and were reasonably priced. They helped out with all the questions I had. Highly recommend if you are in need of renting."

Zero communication on status of order

"Placed an order on November 18 with my PayPal account. Received email confirmation of the order but it hung in authorization status for 2 weeks. I emailed after a week and a half for any status information and received no response back. December 3rd I check my PayPal account and see it's been processed through as a purchase. I call immediately and spoke to a rude man who interrupted me constantly but did confirm he'd cancel the order. His explanation for the processed charge was the item wasn't in stock, now it was and thus customers were charged. I said thanks to no communication, I did not know the item was out of stock and if I had, the order would have been cancelled long before now. He did not ask for any of my information and literally hung up on me. I called back and the same person answered. I stated I was disconnected from the prior call and restated my reason for calling back. This person proceeds to tell me he cancelled my order as stated in the disconnected call prior. I asked how he was able to do so as I'd not been asked for any information, literally no name, order number, zipcode, nothing. He cavalierly states my information came up on caller ID. And once again I explained to him no communication of knowing that he had my information in that and indeed my particular order was canceled. So overall horrible customer service that caused unnecessary delays."

Unreliable

"Placed an order - paid with credit card - received confirmation and invoice. When we called for tracking, they had cancelled the order. My project is waiting for the pieces - no notification and I do not see the charge reversed. No concern and quite dismissive. Will not be using them again, and would not recommend."

Do NOT order from company - possible scam?

"I placed an order for a product and was alarmed by the shipping ($25.80 GROUND shipping for a $2.21 item that weighs ounces). Didn't want to pay that much for shipping, but really needed the item, so I proceeded with the order. About an hour later, I checked the status and it stated there were "order issues." I immediately tried to call the company ( no answer) and sent an email to find out the problem. The next thing I knew, my order was cancelled, and the item I order was labeled as "No longer available from AValive." I tried calling several more times with no answer. This morning, the item is for sale again on AValive.com. Not sure what's up with this company, but they didn't even have the decency to reach out to me and explain why my order was cancelled. After doing my research, I'm glad the order didn't go through - they appear to be a bait-and-switch type company who has horrid customer service. "

Do not buy from this company, they will screw you.

"They wanted payment up front via bank transfer, after looking at their reviews I did not want to do bank transfer so they agreed to do PayPal, I waited over two week no PayPal request for payment, called them and they reverted to bank transfer. Very SHADY OUTFIT!!"

Never shipped my order

"They gave me a great price and emailed me a confirmation that the product is in stock at the Mfg.. 2 weeks later our customer said they never received the order. I called the Mfg. they said they had plenty of product. I called Avalive but they could not tell me what happened to the order. I cancelled, and ordered from another supplier."

"ITS HARD TO IMAGINE A COMPANY WITH LESS INTEGRITY.

THEY TELL STORIES ABOUT SOMEONE DRIVING OUR PRODUCT ACROSS THE BORDER TO AVOID CUSTOMS....THEY TELL YOU IT SHIPPED FROM THE VENDOR AND AFTER CALLING THE VENDOR, IT HAS NOT.

THEY CHARGED OUR SCHOOL, A 35% RESTOCKING FEE ON A PRODUCT THAT WE CANCELLED BEFORE SHIPMENT AND NEVER RECEIVED. THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY HAD TO BLOCK AValive AFTER THEY CONTINUED TO TRY AND CHARGE THOUSANDS WHEN THEY HAD THE PRODUCT IN HAND.

ITS TOO BAD, THEY DON'T POST THE "RECORDED CONVERSATION" THEY ALWAYS TALK ABOUT....IT WOULD BE GREAT FOR EVERYONE TO HEAR THE QUESTIONABLE CONVERSATION, PRIOR TO PURCHASING.

ITS GOOD TO KNOW CREDIT CARD COMPANIES PROTECT FROM THESE UNDERHANDED PRACTICES.

"They frequently sell items they don't have in stock, then pretend in emails with you that it 'ships soon' while you sit and wait. Then you ask, and they lie more. Then finally when they think they know for sure they give you a firm date with a half-hearted apology. Ordered 3/5 for a "IN STOCK" item now they say it ships 3/18 after last week swearing it would ship Friday the 13th. Their slogan is 'Your Overnight shipping source" -- if by night they mean 2 weeks and a bunch of lies!"

"I submitted an online quote request for a sound system rental and didn't get a response for 3 days. I then called and left a voicemail and didn't get a call back for over 24 hours. I then called again and was told that the the item I wanted to rent is no longer offered for rent, even though a rental request can be placed for the item on their website. Then I was told that the rental office is busy and cannot rent anything that must be shipped out in less than one week. The person I spoke with was pleasant and confident, but clearly rental equipment is not something that they are promoting at this time."

"These guys advertise free shipping, then they tell you "something beyond our control occurred", and then try to sneak in the shipping fees. May not constitute "lying" but it is certainly shady. I will never do business with them for any reason, ever again. "

"I have nothing but praise for AValive! I ordered a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera On Tuesday October 1st and they sent me a tracking order the next day! I preordered from one of the bigger dealers in New York and that's been a nightmare. They give you the typical east coast attitude where they try to talk over you and say anything to get you off the phone. The sales rep I talked to at AValive was pleasant told me when the camera would ship and would call if it didn't. Overall a great experience and will use them again in the future!"

"I ordered a Sony Ultra HD Media Player from them. A week went by and I didn't hear anything from them. I checked my Credit Card Statement and saw that I was charged for the item. I sent them an email asking if it had shipped. They replayed saying "No, as per your request, this order was canceled. Thank you." I replied back saying I never canceled the order. I never heard anything back from them. I checked my CC statement the next day and they did credit the card. I also called them and left a voice mail but they never called me back. I just bought the player from somewhere else. The hell with these people."
