"I tried to order a Nikon Camera from this company. Once you buy a camera on their web site, the process is always the same:
1 - you got an email asking to call them to verify the order.
2 - you got a 2nd email telling you "TO ALL OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS . HOT SPECIAL SALE, 1 DAY ONLY Up to 50% DISCOUNT ON ALL ACCESSORIES"
3 - Once you call them to confirm your address..they asked you if you've received the email with 50% discount and if you are interested in additional accessories...If no..then they say "ok" and that's the end of the phone call
4 - 1 hour later you will receive an email saying: "We regret that shipment of the merchandise listed above, on your order
xxxx is delayed for 3-4 weeks because the merchandise is on backorder with
the manufacturer."

Thus I will not recommend this company AT ALL. 5starselectronics belong to the group of NJ's companys that do not have any camera to sell but try to make some business on your back... I am really disappointed by eopinions.com and amazon.com because I saw some ads from this company on their web sites. resellerratings is the only web site where 5starselectronics is rated..Unfortunately it's not enough....

"I ordered a Canon G3 back in May and got the email to call them to verify my order. They did not try to sell me anything on that call. A few days later I got an email saying the G3 was out of stock and a reply was needed.

At this time I checked the website and the item was listed as "in stock". I called them and they said it would be another 3-4 weeks.
After three weeks I called again and they said it would be 2-3 more weeks.

Today I gave up and ordered from amazon. Their price had come down considerably since May and I could get it right away.

I will never shop these guys again. Hooray for ResellerRatings!

"Heard the horror stories, but thought I would try anyways. Ordered a sony camcorder, got the usual e-mail and confirmation phone calls, and the item was in-stock. Two days later it was not in stock. Ordered June 6 now July 7 and still waiting!!! Web site says the camera is in stock,so I called. Oh no still on back order for another two weeks. don't bother buying here!!!"

"I ordered a Canon GL2 camcorder from this company and received a phone call the same day to "verify" my order. The salesman asked why I had not ordered any of the special accessory packages and proceded to try to sell me something else. He finally offered me the "Executive Kit", which contained additional high quality expensive lens and a 4 year warranty. I received the entire order, overnight, as requested. Upon inspection of the kit items, I discovered they were very poor quality private label lens. Comparable lens are worth $100.00 each and Canon says the use of them will not give good quality images. I called and asked permission to return the Kit items and was told any return was subject to a 15% restocking fee. I explained that this was not just a simple return request, but that the quality of the lens were very poor and certainly not worth the $1000.00 + cost in addition to the $1849.99 for the Canon GL2. I have attempted 3 times now to get them to respond to an email asking for permission to return and they will not even have the courtesy to respond. I would like to keep the CANON GL2, I just want to return the kit items sold to me and misrepresented as high quality.
WATCH OUT FOR THESE GUYS!

"My experience is the same as the others. They have a great price for the Nikon Coolpix 5700. I placed the order on the web. I got an email to confirm the order by phone. I called and did so. They asked if I wanted to buy anything else. I said no. I asked if the camera was in stock. They said yes.

The next day I called to check the status of the order. They told me it is out of stock. I asked "why does your website say it is stock?" I don't know they responded.

I cancelled my order. Don't even bother trying!

"Ordered a Canon G3 from their website on April 17. Received email from them requesting I call to verify the order. Did this on April 21. There was no attempt on their part to sell any accessories, however, I have still not received my camera as of April 29 nor have I received any further correspondence from them. Called their customer service dept on April 30 and was told the camera was backordered 2-3 weeks--their web site still says it is "in stock". I cancelled my order."
