STAY AWAY!

" Ordered contacts for the first time with SaveOnLens last year. It took them a MONTH to even ship my order! I don't usually complain, but I did. They gave me a 5% "discount" if I ever decided to shop with them again. Lenses arrived and one of them had no saline in it whatsoever and was ruined. But, not wanting to deal with the headache again, I just threw out the bad lens.

Fast forward a year. I needed new lenses in a couple of months, so I give them another shot. I figured if they were late again, they'd still make it in time. I get an email a day later saying my lenses were discontinued, so I ask them to cancel my order and refund my money. A day later they confirm its canceled and tell me I'll see it by weeks end. A week later, its still not in my account. I inquire again and THIS time, they tell me my refund was processed the day BEFORE today, and that I should see it sometime this week. Are you kidding me!? It takes 5 seconds to take it from my account but over a week to put it back when the problem was their fault in the first place? Not to mention they LIED to me. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from them.

US Customs ruined my order and Save-On-Lens fixed it

"I ordered 2 boxes of lenses from saveonlens.com. By the time it got to my place, the envelope had been opened and one of the lens boxes was missing. Probably USPS or US Customs meddling. I emailed saveonlens a description and pictures of the package, and they called me back the next business day telling me they shipped a replacement, which I've now received."

Perfect Order!

"I just received my order today and couldn't be happier. I read a LOT of negative reviews about these folks but saw they were for special requests. Mine was a plain order for regular contacts and they were shipped quickly while their web tracking allowed for regular updates. Two thumbs up!"

"It was great that I could order without a new Rx, which is what I wanted. Also, had a 15% off coupon code.
Their customer service is garbage. It took 2 weeks before my lenses were shipped. When I called the 1st time (my previous email got no response), I was told they were back ordered (no biggie) but would be shipped that day.
Next day, I call again, same answer 'They're being shipped today! You'll get the confirmation email soon!' Nothing.
Third day, third call, same answer except they told me I'd get free expedited shipping for my hassle. Great!....except when they finally shipped the next day, they were not expedited. They won't arrive for another 5 days (which will be 3 weeks from the day I ordered!!!)
I emailed customer service & was given 5% off my next purchase. No thanks. Won't be using this company again.

"My order was successful.
It did take almost week for them to actually acknowledge that they sent me the shipment, so I was getting a little bit worried. However. once they did fulfill the order, they sent me a tracking number and I got my shipment in 2 days via USPS. The product I got was correct and in good shape. Will definitely order from them again as long as they don't change their Rx requirements.

"DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. I give the customer service a 0. I never received my contacts, which in the end was USPS fault. HOWEVER, them covering only 50% of product cost, not even 50% of the $8 shipping is complete BS. They also won't even budge from that. Clearly they need a bigger and better insurance policy if that is all they will cover. Not to mention it takes minimum two weeks to get the issue solved. I am irate and will never order from here again. I suggest you do not either."

"Absolutely terrible. I ordered theatrical lenses well in advance of an event I wanted to wear them to. I knew it would take time to make a custom set of lenses for me, which I why I ordered so far in advance. The stated time on the website was 2-4 weeks. They charged my card right away, and I settled in to wait. 3 weeks later I emailed to check on my order, as the website showed them as Processing still. I just wondered when they would ship. I was given the runaround, being asked to remain patient for the next 3 weeks. 6 weeks after ordering I still had no lenses so I emailed again to ask where they were, and was promised by an employee that the factory would be sending them directly to me, with free expediting, within the next few days so that I would have them in less than a week. That was fine by me, as I still had a few weeks before the event but was cutting it close. I have never worn theatrical lenses before and wanted to make sure I could wear them comfortably. The very next day I received an email from a different rep saying the factory had alerted them that they had torn one of the lenses and therefore they were cancelling my order and crediting me. I do not understand why they would not just make a new one instead of losing the sale, because I insisted they refund me in full, as nothing else on their website was remotely close to what I wanted. They did agree, and the refund was almost instant, but now I do not have time to order a new set of lenses from anywhere else before the event. They sent me a coupon for 5% off my next purchase, but I will not be going back to use it. "

"Save-On-Lenses has REALLY poor customer service. It is fine if you are ordering and don't have problems with your order. I used to order from them all of the time. Then I had a change in my perscription and I contacted them to see if I could exchange two UNOPENED boxes of contacts. They never answered and so I contacted them again. They didn't respond, so I called them. Long story short - they told me to send the boxes back and they would refund me money. I sent them back and never saw a dime back. I will never order from them again!"

"I'm an international student, you know how expensive the vision insurance costs..so i found this website which doesn't not need prescription and ordered two boxes of monthly replace because im not going to my home country any time soon, and my lenses are expiring... they charged my card immediately and i thought this prbly a scam.. i emailed the customer service cuz i didnt get confirmation email and nobody replys..however the USPS mail arrived after 4 days i ordered. The products look good, brand new, but i havent put them on yet. so yeah.. kinda pricy but if you don't have a chance to get prescription you may try this site. "

"Great service, was looking for a place to get lenses the next day since I had dropped one of my last and my stupid doctor wants me to have my eyes re-examined every year when my script has been the same for 7 years. These guys came through with my stuff here in under 24 hours and no B.S., paid a little more than normal, but was defiantly worth what I saved in time and hassle.Cost me 140 for two boxes of air optix for astigmatism with next day air shipping, opticontacts and coastal was going to be about 110 with all their discounts applied so was a huge time and money saver. The only thing I can say that would give me any reservation at all is that there was two places on each box where there was some Japanese or Chinese writing like they may have been intended for a foreign market, but THEY WERE NOT COUNTERFEIT OR KNOCK-OFFS, just letting people know. Overall with the convenience factor and considering the time and money it saved me not having to leave work and pay my greedy optometrist more money for the same thing I have to give these guys a 10/10"
