Excellent Service

"Okay. There are the definite pros. One, they have a great payment plan option for broke touring musicians stuck at home during the Coronavirus pandemic. Two-Day Shipping even. They are friendly as heck, some of the best customer service I’ve ever received. I received a broken guitar cable, wrote them, and they sent out a new one right then. No questions asked. Thanks folks! "

The only company that charges for returns.

"Bought a Moog Mother 32. Don’t really dig it, so I set it up to exchange for something else. They say I’m responsible for the return costs. Not being a corporate shipper, this return cost me almost $70. Shop Sweetwater and AMS. Screw these guys."

Don’t Fall For One Day Shipping!

"Laughable company. They’re not supposed to charge your card prior to shipping the item. They charged me $150 and didn’t even send me an out of stock email. Guitar was supposed to be priority free one day shipping. If I want another guitar in its place I would have to make another charge! FOH"

Negligence and incompetence

"Twice I wanted to purchase a ltd edition guitar from them. Both times they lied about having it in stock. The first time they never actually received the item, the second time I actually purchased it and it was cancelled. BUT GUESS WHAT? They made another mistake, they actually DID Have it in stock, but then what do they do? They sell it to someone else instead of HOLDING the instrument for me.

On top of their incompetence, poor customer service, they are also extremely understocked and OVERPRICED. PLEASE GO WITH SWEETWATER.COM for your music gear needs.

"I was denied credit because an ex-girlfriend had an account,in her name,using her credit card. She had an item sent to me as gift and apparently did not finish paying. Well,somehow its considered contagious,and spread by sexual activity. Aside from HER having it sent to my residence,my name,information,credit card ect us nowhere near her account,but I guess her debt is contagious?????

"zZounds.com is amazing! Any time I have an issue with over charge, or over payment they send it back immediately, no questions asked. Paying while you play IS AMAZING! My DJ business was able to grow with this program and I'll use them for as long as they are around!!! Fast customer service, fast shipping! and Never had to send 1 item back in the 2 years Ive been using them! I recommend to any musician, DJ, or engineer!"

Return hell

"I ordered wireless microphones. Meaning to do the payment plan I forgot to check the box and was charged the whole price. That was my fault and I immediately caught it. I contacted costumer service and they claimed it was too late to cancel. I would have to refuse the package from fedex. I tried that and it didn’t work. I talked to our delivery guy and someone at the ground store. There was no address on the box for them to send it back. I would have to pay for a return label. I tried explaining the situation to FOUR different people at zzounds. They kept putting the blame on fedex. I finally got the last person to give me a “one time accommodation” return label. I took it to ups and they took care of it, no problem. I’m suppose to get my refund in 2-4 business days. I’m on day 1. So we’ll see. I’m starting to get nervous now that I won’t see that money again. "

ZzSounds Promises Free 2 Day Shipping but Ships FedEx Ground

"I've been purchasing musical equipment from ZzSounds for several years. They always promised 2 day delivery but my deliveries always end up being 1-3 days late. I had been blaming FedEx but this time I decided to really look into it. Turns out it's not FedEx's fault. Zzsounds promises 2 day delivery but they actually ship using FedEx home delivery which is 1-7 days and doesn't guarantee anything . You basically have to live in Mississippi to actually get 2 day delivery. It's easy to want to use them since they have an interest free financing plan but other sites have that now too so no need to be lied to about shipping. Unless you just find a price you can't turn down, which you won't, I'd go elsewhere. Kraft Music is an example of a company that promises 2 day delivery and actually provides it. "

"zZounds is illegally selling B-Stock as new unblemished. They are selling unmatched flame top LP's as new bookmatched. Also, if you call them 5 minutes after an order to cancel, they claim it has already shipped (on a Saturday). In addition to this, if you call them to get a better deal, they lower the price of the guitar and then add the money back onto the price as a processing fee. This is THE MOST DISHONEST COMPANY in the business. "

Will not help you at all

"I called 2 days before my payment due date for my Schecter guitar, asking for the due date to be moved one day (which would have been payday) Andrew took my call and said “alright I’ve changed the due date to Friday” wake up Thursday and my account is negative because of the charge. And when I called he said “they payments already gone through, unfortunately our “accounting team” didn’t enter it in. So I go negative and pay a fee to my bank because YOUR team couldn’t do it? Terrible service never buying equipment from here again"

Bought a speaker that you can blue tooth to

"I advise people not to buy anything from this company. They did not send what was ordered and took the money. No one in the place know anything about my order until I called again after they promised it would be delivered by Friday. I had placed a order and they ended up selling what I had ordered. To make it right they was going to send me another one but it never was sent. Bad for business "
