after confirming a time they would be expecting my call, I tried calling them thru rebtel, over and over and over again. But it just rang and rang and rang. And my friend confirmed via email, that their phone never rang even once.
If you want to throw your money away, best just to throw it in the garbage can, and save the aggravation. "

"Rebtel has the worst customer service when it comes to refunding request. All was good until you want your money back and they won't respond to emails or requests. I have been waiting for a response since 01/09/15 and as of to date 01/19/15, I still haven't got a response from them. They keep giving me requests #s in their automated emails and then no further actions or steps taken to resolve my request for a refund. Rebtel if you're reading this, these are my request #s (560901), (562774) and refund my $100.00 credit and $2.00 processing fee. To potential customers of this company, please be warned about the inconvenience that this company will give you if you want a refund of your money."

"Use this company only if you don't mind your money stolen. I placed $50 on my account and used only about $10 of it. Several months later, my account balance was $0. They pocketed my money and will not refund the money back to me. Just beware when trusting your money to them. Also, not all calls go through and at times the connection is really poor. Another thing is that it takes them between 24-72 hours to post the money on your account so if you need to make an urgent call, you have to wait until the money is posted to the account to do so. "

"Some numbers work fine but some don't.

For those that do not work as expected, even though they are listed in REBLTEL address book as LOCAL NUMBERS, when you dial them then on the next bill from your phone provider you find that they were NOT local numbers and you have to pay TWICE for the same call: normal rates to your provider and Rebtel rates to Rebtel. So much about "special low rates".

I contacted Rebtel about this and they stubornly kept saying that this is my and my phone provider's fault. Can you believe it ?

And they charge in US dollars or Euro. You CAN NOT select any other currency, which means every time you recharge you pay via 'bad' exchange rate (I checked this) and on top of that you might be charged 'international processing fee' (which is my case was approx $1 for every $10 purchased).

Sometimes call quality is so bad that I just had to hang up and try again the next day."
