"My experience with PowerMax was nothing but a pleasure. I tried to sell my MacPro independently with no success so I decided to give them a try. It was Gary that helped me with the process. From start to finish he was with me and made sure that all instructions were clear. I felt that the agreed upon price was appropriate. Once I had the Mac shipped, receipt and acceptance were fast and efficient. The agreed upon price was credited to my account and that was it. They know how much credit I had and Gary was there for anything that I wanted to order. With my last order which used the last of my credit, I owed a bit, about $5, and Gary was able to waive that and had free shipping. I would definitely recommend doing business with them with confidence. Gary was the one that helped me but I imagine that any of the sales folks would have the same dedication. "I'm a speech therapist/teacher of the deaf and a Apple Forever user since the Apple IIe! I don't have the resources for a new computer every time; I know exactly where to go for the best deal. I have bought refurbished desktops from Power Max for 10 years and the staff there can't be beat for their patience with my many questions, kindness, care and service!! I currently own my first pre-owned laptop from PowerMax because the staff asked about my specific personal and professional needs in a laptop. Then they gave me a price list of various pre-owned laptops with full descriptions of what each unit could/couldn't do and what software and chips would be pre-installed---so I could make a well-informed final choice! You can even ask for advice/help post-sale with quick Apple system software questions or go to PowerMax's pre-set forums/blogs for answers...which can be very comforting if your computer is past the original Apple Care warranty or you couldn't get to an Apple Store soon enough. Only once in 10 years, did I have to return a PPC desktop that developed a problem during its warranty period, and it was promptly handled and returned to me. If you need a solid, pre-owned computer and buy their extended warranty--it's a trust! I have recommended PowerMax to friends, too. If money is an issue and you need a used computer from a reliable, honest, competent Apple Re-saler/Repair company, use PowerMax! They are like a trusted friend!"

"I am a case manager for a non-profit organization. While researching programs that accept iPad trade-in’s to put towards the purchase of a new iPad, I came across PowerMax. PowerMax offered me a quote much larger than any other trade-in program company and after talking to a PowerMax representative I decided to give them a try and pray for the best. I was initially nervous and a little bit skeptical about the whole process, especially because the iPad I would be trading-in, didn’t belong to me, but to a client. My worries began to subside after communicating (phone and email) with Gary and Stephan, the two individuals assisting me through the trade-in process – they were wonderful! "I just purchased my second MacBookPro in nearly 7 years from PowerMax. We've also purchased an iMac, iPads, iTouch, and several accessories and software from PowerMax. I've always been treated with respect and never felt belittled no matter which question I asked (and some were pretty elementary, I suspect). There was no consideration on my part to even going elsewhere to purchase the most recent laptop. Heidi Wheeler assisted me as though she was reading my mind when I was in the decision making process as to which laptop to purchase. I always know that the support staff is at the end of the phone to assist me as well.
I simply cannot say enough good things about PowerMax, their staff, and the products offered. I would go back to them in a heartbeat for any Apple related purchase. Not paying sales tax isn't all bad either along with free shipping when the order is over a certain dollar amount.

When a part for my refurbished iMac was on back order they set me up with an alternate iMac that was exactly like my old one, if not better. They even transfered my old hard drive so i wouldn't loose any files. They were patient and supportive with me even when I called and emailed once a week to check on the status. They are the best in my book and I will ask for them the next time I use PowerMax."
