"I initially ordered three sets of Mr. Beams motion activated, light sensitive, battery powered, dark colored pathlights. First of all, the order process was simple and uncomplicated and secondly my products showed up earlier than expected. I was anxious to see how they performed and assembled them (which requires a screwdriver and batteries) and placed them in their prospective locations. Four of the six pathlights behaved as described and only came on when it was dark and it detected motion. Perfect! However, the remaining two came on as soon as I inserted the batteries and would not switch off. I played around with new batteries and a couplle of the switches - to no avail. I called the nuLime service department where I spoke with Joshua who was tremendously professional and courteous. After a few moments of research, he told me that they would be sending replacements. I inquired how I should return the defective pathlights and he said it would be easier it I just kept them - which seemed to make quite a bit of sense to me because why would you want something defective back? I suppose it would confirm whether the product was really defective - or not - as I'm sure there are some unscrupulous consumers out there. After our telephone call, I receievd an email from Joshua that reiterated what was going to happened with my return/replace order. Within a week my replacements arrived and are working perfectly. Even though I'm not a fan of batteries (becasue of disposal issues and the recharging ones suck) I LOVE the clean lines and efficiency of the product. A pleasant, but strong, light comes on when I walk by at night and then it turns inself off with a minute. No fussy solar panels with wires that stick up waiting to be mowed AND no lights constantly on when they are not needed. I choose to live in a dark rural area for many reasons and constant night lighting is not one of them. Mr. Beams pathlights appear to be the best solution for this challenge - plus they are a very good value. Let's talk again in a year when the projected battery replacement time arrives - after a year of the elements. Thank you nuLime (and Joshua!)."
