Avoid

"This company is awful and should be avoided at all costs. Use a proper delivery company. I sent a parcel with this "delivery company" in june. The company over 3 months have told me it has be n picked up, then it has been delayed (for two months!) Then it had been delivered, then it had not been delivered and was still delayed and now it appears it has been lost. There online chat makes it impossible to get in touch with them, their phone line is automated and does not recognise what you are saying so asks you to input your delivery number in your phone keypad (this starts with a letter making it impossible to do). Their head office number is no longer in use. I finally found an email address to contact their office, a week later I was asked to fill in a form for compensation which I did, only to be told my item was not eligible for compensation or the price of my parcel back. This to me sounds a lot like theft. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!"

They'll steal your parcel

"Watchdog Live has received far more complaints about deliveries by Hermes than about any other delivery company.

I bought a very rare and irreplaceable item via ebay. To protect both seller and buyer Ebay has a network in place of several shippers for international shipments (GSP Global shipping program).

My item was coming from the US to the UK. The parcel changed hands many times on the way but I was updated at every turn and it stayed on track with the ETA.

Finally it arrived in the UK at heathrow airport. Less than an hour from my home. Hermes picked it up and this is where the updates stopped. five days went on and nothing. The thing about Hermes is that you can't actually contact them. On their website there is only "Holly - the virtual assistent" who is basically just a glorified text-to-speech program. Holly can't tell you anything that isn't already stated on the website.Try the phone then? Exact same thing. An answering machine that will take your tracking number, read out what is already stated on their website; we're not quite sure what we did with your belongings but if you give us 24 hours we will follow up on this - goodbye!.

24 hours goes by, then 48, then five days, Nothing.

At this point I'm checking the app daily. Suddenly, their tracking server is down and rather than kicking a ball up against a wall called "Holly", I'm allowed to send an email! I write asking for an update.

3 days later I am called back by a gentleman call Abdul. Abdul is clearly just calling back to tick me off his list. He can answer no questions and when I ask him about next steps the same reply: "I'll look into the details" comes out. I digg deeper asking what that means? Are you contacting the depot whereto he replies: "No, yes I mean I'll look into the details of it".

Hermes Parcels have another trustpilot page with a score of 1.2 but you have to look for it. They've done a great job of maintaining a professional outlook but I suggest you have a look at their twitter or do a bit of googling before ever handing over anything of any value to them. Recommended reads include:

-Watchdog Live has received far more complaints about deliveries by Hermes than about any other delivery company. (BBC)

-Hermes drivers throwing deliveries in bins. (mirror)

-Hermes drivers taking pictures of parcels, marking them delivered, and driving off with them. (Mirror)

Delivery driver ignored instructions

"So I ordered an item and Hermes was the company delivering so they asked me for a safe place for item because I was out at the time ,day
I attached a photo with instructions but the driver ignored the instructions and put my item in full view of public
When you try to contact Hermes ,it costs £6 to phone and connect or a virtual customer service chat???
Will not be using them again,got no phone call as requested but a typical email with excuses

Got scammed

"Photo taken in front of my house with the package being 'delivered', but the courier never delivered it. Got scammed. Tracking said package got delivered when it never did. Never got a call or e-mail that the package was here and a ticket wasn't left in the letter box incase a neighbor took the package. Disappointed."

Worst company exists, bad customer service, drivers steal your parcel

"They took over a week to delivery a parcel for me, driver updated delivered and wasn't.

Added a black picture saying was delivery which he steal the parcel and open.

After a open a complain on the worst website Hermes which I talk to a Robot the finally found and managed to redelivery on Sunday which is really weird.

Worst company in UK, can't talk to anyone, really bad reviews and some drivers steal your parcel!!!!

The worst customer service

"A parcel I am receiving has been misrouted and over a week later it's still missing. Trouble is you can't actually speak to anyone. They have an online service called Holly which will drive you to suicide before providing any form of help. The phone system is equally as bad. They have tried at all costs to avoid speaking to customers, and I'm yet to find a way to actually do that. Never will I fall in to the trap of using these incapable muppets again."

Lied and said they’d delivered to my Safe Place!

"Usual rubbish from Herpes, sorry Hermes!
Asked twice for parcel to be delivered to a “Safe place” and got an email confirmation it was just dumped on the front door for anyone to walk past and steal. Lazy fat delivery driver even had the cheek to message me that it had been put in my “Safe place”when it clearly hadn’t , People don't just ask for it to be put in a “safe place” for a laugh you know.So all day you think everything is okay until you get home and find it isn’t. Won’t buy anything that uses them as a courier again. EVER!

HERPES!!! It’s not a typo, you are undoubtedly a sore on society

"AVOID AT ALL COST! I sent 3 parcel for the first time with Hermes, the first one the buyer claimed the parcel was delivered empty. I notified Hermes Straight away and I was told to open a case for undelivered item, I requested for Proof and photographic evidence of my parcel being delivered, I reported the incident to action fraud, on my second phone call to Hermes the Agent called Adrian told me that on this occasion the driver did not take a photo of the parcel but that same driver delivered a parcel couple of weeks prior to the same address and he has taken photo evidence, I emailed again and made more phone calls the only response I got was that someone will contact me in 28 days. I continued calling still no response. After a month I received an email saying that the parcel has been delivered. I requested photographic evidence of the delivery which they couldn’t provide and decided to close my case within 24 hours!!!! On Hermes website clearly states “ when you answer, the courier will take photo of the parcel in the open doorway as a proof” To me this is a misleading and mis-selling to the customers as clearly they do not take such evidence! how disgraceful!!!! They took my money and my item!!! The second parcel Which they couldn’t deliver I requested three times over three weeks to be sent back to me....I’m still waiting for the parcel. No one appears to know where my parcel is. Extremely disappointing and very appalling customer service you cannot speak to a real person. IF YOU REALLY VALUE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR ITEMS DO NOT USE HERMES. Please check on Hermes side “Complaints Department” and you will be Disgusted with the amount of complaints that Hermes doesn’t even bother to reply."

Oh Lord where do I start?

"Where do I start?!! Well firstly I would rather go without ANYTHING EVER AGAIN than have this ridiculous company attempt to transport it to me ON TIME. The WORST "company" existing today at the current time in THE WORLD! HOW ON EARTH ARE YOU STILL IN BUSINESS? I BET THAT'S NOT THE FIRST TIME YOU'VE HEARD THAT EH??!!

Do not bother to use "next day delivery" as next day delivery to Hermes means.....well.....whenever they can be bothered to get there. This time (there have been many other times) they used the excuse of "a road traffic accident" slowing them down.......it slowed them down so much that 3 days later there's still no sign of my "next day" delivery. And HOLLY!!! Oh HOLLY....why are you degrading yourself in this way? You know you can't/won't/don't want to help and so send us off on a wild goose chase, round and round saying "hello" to start a new chat because you completely ignored our last request/click/choice of action. It's pathetic. I mean WHY BOTHER? It's also funny after awhile I suppose.....

Hermes used to have "live chat" if you needed help with something. I remember a few years ago joining "live chat" about ANOTHER missing parcel and finding that there were over 450 other people waiting before me with the same idea!!! I mean that tells us EVERYTHING we need to know doesn't it?! Quite wisely(from their point of view) they seem to have got rid of the "live chat" option. In fact they've now got rid of ALL customer service options. They literally have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. They can't deny it. I have tried repeatedly over the last 3
days to get HOLLY to pass my complaint on to someone.....anyone......without success.......all she want's me to do is say "hello" over an over again.....

Well I won't be saying hello ever again to you Holly....in actual fact I'm saying Goodbye...FOREVER....I will now contact the company I am buying from to ascertain if they will be using Hermes to attempt to deliver my items and if they are then I'm afraid I will be explaining to them that I will not order from them on this occasion and never will until they can Guarantee to me they won't use Hermes ever again.....

In short ; ) DO NOT USE HERMES FOR ANYTHING.

I'm serious......You will regret it.

Anyways.....!!!!! I hope I've helped at least ONE PERSON from the pain and sheer frustration of trying to deal with MyHermes...

It's a pain I will never forget.......

"Terrible service, i was waiting for a dress for a ceremony to be delivered and i was told it was not delivered because they could not find my house, its the worst excuse i have ever heard of, i get parcels delivered every day so how can this driver could not find my address ??"

Delivery’s been lost

"Hermes first time with this company waiting for a parcel to be delivered should have been delivered 19th March not delivered many emails sent and finally today they send me an email stating that my parcel has been lost and for me to contact company I got it from to sort the matter out talk about pass the buck would never recommend to anyone and certainly would never use again shame on you Hermes my parcel made it’s way from way abroad to make it to uk for Hermes to lose it then pass the buck lol joke "
