IGOURMET is HORRIBLE!!!!

"Seriously, I could give minus star to customer service of igourmet.com
The customer service is terrible!!! MAYBE NOT PRODUCTS! They got my ordering but five minutes later they didn`t get my cancellation. Do you believe that? I got a confirmation email from my cancel order, though. Well, in spite of my cancellation my miss ordering was sent to me. And then I made a phone call to return my wrong item. They said you can send it back to BUT I have to pay for returning shipping because of igourmet ignored my cancellation. I had talked to the manager (her name is Margaret) and she hung up me. She is the real manager! No comment!
If you read my experience and the others` as well, you next customers should think about your ordering from this website. This customer service is HORRIBLE!!!

Bad Website makes bad charges

"Their website fails to process debit cart transactions properly. They know it, they admit it, they do nothing to fix it. So you end up stuck with charges for a full week, for double what you spent.."

Already Been Bankrupt Once -- I Know Why! Hope They Go Under Again!

"I have an e card from iGourmet I received as a birthday gift. I wanted to use part of it to send a physical gift card to a friend for her birthday. The website wouldn't work so I called. The girl apologized and said she would take care of it. She said she'd send a confirmation email to let me know my remaining balance. After no email arrived I called again and was told that gift cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards. I'd hate to tell you how often I've purchased gift cards with gift cards. The woman was very rude, told me I was trying to pull a fast one. She was the same women I'd spoken to earlier who had assured me it was taken care of.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL GO BANKRUPT AGAIN AND THIS TIME I HOPE THEY ALL LOSE THEIR JOBS!

Unhappy anniversary

"Ordered the anniversary basket. It was delivered but the recipient wasn't notified. It sat outside for a 24 hour period. The recipient called and a 2nd basket was sent. Unfortunately it went to the west coast, we live outside of Boston. A basket was finally received - not sure if it was the 2nd basket redirected or a 3rd basket but upon arrival, it had several substitutions of both cheeses and meats. Igourmet refused to offer a refund. My credit carad tried to intervene but was given the same response "we replaced the original basket, no refund will be given". The basket value was $100 plus shipping of $25.00. Very unhappy with this company. Never again.

"Cheeses received were inferior in appearance with exception of camembert (wrapped in paper). Taste of camembert was above average. Montasio will go into trash bin. Aged gouda has a nice flavor but there is about a third of the cheese that is not fit for consumption. Serving these cheeses to a guest would be a horrible experience for all parties.
Called igourmet to claim a refund under their warranty. They refused to warranty their items. Rep claimed these cheeses are supposed to look like they were left out in the sun, that camembert is not supposed to be creamy. I could not listen to any more excuses from the rep. It was clear igourmet has no warranty on quality of their products. They just excuse it all away.

"Igourmet.com handled my order well. I was concerned by a rather large number of reviews complaining about delivery. But I decided to take a chance and I am glad I did. I ordered two whole wheels of Tete de Moine. It was not in stock at the time I placed the order. I did an online chat with them and was told it would be available on the 5th. You have to go through the order process quite a bit and then you will see a page come up indicating the first ship date. In my case it showed the 7th. You can then select the date you would like it delivered. I selected the 8th (next day). They did ship on the 7th like their site said and I was able to receive the package on the 8th. It was well packed and included a cold pack also. The shipping I consider reasonable. I priced the same product at other sites and while the cheese might cost about the same the shipping always came out the cheapest at igourmet.com. I have not actually eaten the cheese yet. I ordered a cheese shaver from another online site on the same day but it has yet to arrive. "

"Ordered a cheese assortment for a friend for her birthday. The package was delivered on time but was stolen from her porch before she got home. I notified igourmet and they sent a replacement package, no questions asked, free of charge. I can't speak to the quality of their products, since it was a gift for someone else, but their customer service was great!"

"Great selection of foods, but many are "out of stock" due to low inventory. Very poor customer service and no consideration for repeat customers. Shipping practices are mediocre. I placed an order for perishable items and they decided to ship it 2 day rather than the promised overnight. It failed to arrive on time and they promised to resend it overnight. When it failed to arrive a second time, they claim that the items now "are out of stock". It may arrive over a week after it was supposed to arrive as a gift. No apologies or compensation offered. I have used other sites with better luck and will not come back here."

"I recently placed an order through iGourmet and requested two day shipping through the ShopRunner service that I have paid for (not using a free trial).

iGourmet took it upon themselves to split my order and proceeded to send the first portion through ShopRunner as agreed. When they finally shipped the second half, it was shipped standard shipping, even though I had paid for two day shipping.

When contacted, iGourmet not only gave me the runaround, but the customer service person that replied was *rude*! I was told that this was *my* fault for not having chosen a shipping date?!?!? Then when pressed, the customer service rep admitted that they had indeed split the order, but that I should be grateful that they hadn't held my order until all of the items were available and that "most customers are happy that they do this for them."

I don't know about anyone else, but I am not happy to have items that are showing in stock backordered. I am also QUITE unhappy to pay for two day shipping for my order, then be told it is somehow my fault that they "didn't have the inventory they expected to have."

I suggest Amazon to anyone considering purchasing any items that might be available through iGourmet. I know I will never shop there again.

"Our holiday plans changed at the last minute and I had to scramble with guests arriving on 12/25 and a party on 12/24. Made several orders on 12/20 - 3 with free shipping and this one where I paid 27.99 for overnight shipping with a specified delivery date of 12/23. It was to be included with Naumes pears (these folks are WONDERFUL) in a gift basket for guests. All other orders arrived well ahead of time with the exception of this one. It did not even ship until 12/23 and arrived on Tuesday after Christmas.

While they did refund my shipping charge, it didn't help with the raclette party, the lack of gift for our guests and an eventual grocery store substitute for the pears in the belated gift basket.

Would not trust this seller again. But the pears from Naumes were FANTASTIC, since we had to eat them before they ruined.

Called on the 18th for my order - recieved apologies with a promise of a 19th delivery (date of party)...told them if I don't get - don't send. "Ordered several X-Mas presents from igourmet on 12/15. They guarantee delivery within 5 business days, or I would not have placed the order. The order finally arrived on 12/29...well after X-mas. I ahd to go out and re-buy presents last minute for several people. Now I have been on hold trying to return the order for over 30 minutes...must be a lot of other people doing the same thing. The item I bought were expensive and look like little, crappy boxes - $120 each. I am now glad I didn't give them to anyone. I can not recommend buying anything from this company. Even if they did honor their guarantee of 5-day delivery I would have still been disappointed."
