bad customer service

"We bought a tower heater. When it started to grind and sounded like the fan would stall and jam up. When I took it in , with the box and all packaging they plugged it in and told me they felt it was working fine. I disagreed but they said “if it fails bring it back and they will send it out for a repair “ but refused to at that time. It was a week away from their 90 day warranty expiration, and the fan grinds so loudly you cannot have a conversation when it runs, and I’m afraid to leave it running in case it jams, and catches fire. Really poor customer service, and junk quality. Will NEVER shop their again, and will warn others to avoid their store. "

so far so good

"Bought a refurbished laptop online. Came in the time frame they had indicated. Had a few problems with it which i emailed them about. They sent me a return shipping label based on my description of problem. I will get a like laptop as I believe we just happened to get a lemon. After reading these reviews I am secon guessing that a little but I will trust in the fair and honest goodness of most people!
If this site allows me to update I will.

Take care

"Went in the Scarborough location earlier in the year April time. Was looking a Bluetooth box. I bought a 12 inch portable when it delivered to me i wasn't satisfied so returned it. Went up in person. and Shai & Stevan made sure i was well taken care of and the fact i'm in a wheelchair. I though they went above and beyond. I am sending this now because i came across the paper i wrote there names on . My computer was down and just got back so give them my thanks. Smiley my name if they remember who i am. i won't forget them. Thanks factory direct.

Treated like a criminal as soon as you walk in door. brantford store.

"I refuse to give companies business that treat costumers as thieves just because they carry a backpack or have bags from previous store with them. Not a good business sense. Be professional and find other ways to watch people without them knowing. For an overall good experience for them to want to return and spend money. It is like telling a girl that just got raped, that she shouldn’t of dressed that way. Just wrong in my opinion. "

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NO TRAINING ON COMMUNICATION

"First off I started looking for a Portable air conditioner for my apartment, I looked into having one delivered, went to website picked one out, they offer free shipping on products over a certain amount, I picked out an air conditioner and tried to get them to deliver it, NO won't deliver over certain weight, My QUESTION WHY OFFER FREE DELIVERY THEN, OR ANY DELIVERY FOR THAT MATTER. So fine I go into the store to buy one, looked around found one, asked lots of questions because I know of there insane policies, after being told by 2 different people the same story, that I can bring it back if it doesn't work as long as it was in a 3 month period. I bought one, so now I bought this product May 31st 2019, I let sit for 4 days because I had to turn unit on its side to transport it home, now this year it RAINED a lot and June 5th 2019 was one of the coldest days to record, so I did not use air conditioner due to the cold weather, 10 days to bring product back when you have to let it sit and having cold weather like that is insane, Especially if its an air conditioner. Well I asked before I left the store was the policy different for air conditioner because it has to sit and settle. I was told YES I have 3 months to bring it back in to the store if something was wrong with it. I bought this unit NEW, and it did not work 3 different things wrong with unit. So I took it back into get an exchange which I was told I could do, NO they had to send it out to get fixed, they don't do exchanges past 10 days, so I sent it out they told me 2 weeks MAX, keeping this in mind we are heading into JULY. They kept my UNIT for 4 weeks, then call me and tell me that they couldn't fix my unit and that they are giving me another new one, asking me to bring everything back into the store that goes along with my old unit, and to make sure I have my paperwork as well. So I gather everything up including the instruction booklet and take it to the store. They refuse it telling me now that because I brought only the unit into the store the first time and they are only going to give me back the unit, so they proceed to open box turning air conditioner on its side, taking it out of the box just so they can give me back ONLY the unit. LIKE REALLY I HAVE EVERYTHING IN A BAG THAT I CAN JUST HAND OVER TO THEM AND THEY PROCEED TO RIP OPEN A BOX, BECAUSE THAT IS SOOOOOOO MUCH EASIER. So I said fine took the new unit, while loading it into my friends vehicle I notice that the filters are all dirty full of hair, to say I was not happy with this Whole situation from start to finish is a complete understatement. I'm **** I am not buying from here again. THERE IS NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN ANYONE AND YOUR POLICIES ****, ESPECIALLY FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY EXCHAGING HANDS, ALL THE WHILE YOUR MANAGER HIDES IN BACK ROOM, SENDING HIS EMPLOYEES TO DO THE DIRTY WORK IS JUST DISRESPECTFUL. The Store I dealt with 1235 Donald ST. BEWARE of this Store."

No refunds here!

"We went in to buy two air conditioners, i spoke to the cashier about the return policy before picking out what we needed. I asked her if it does not fit the window can i bring it back. She told me i would get a store credit or exchange unless i signed up for the loyalty card. Then i would get a refund. So we bought 2 not knowing if one would fit. I went to return the smallest one today, before the 10 day period she stated i had. I was told oops bad news manager stated only an exchange or store credit unless the unit was damaged. Which we hadnt even peeled the tape off the box. She stated store policy. I'm lived n blame only management for not training employees on policies n procedures. If this policy is on place, then whu arent employees trained when asked a simple question in regards to them. Management needs training to mansge. As she tried to hand me back my loyalty card. I laughed, are u kidding me. Why would i be a loyal customer if you arent a reliable retailer! Stay clear! My kids just recieved a store credit, i hope they know what they are getting into. Cause o wont be back!"

WARNING DON'T BUY ANYTHING HERE

"Purchased a white S6 back on back order, found out a week later. Then I agreed to take the blue S6, only to get home and it not turning on. There return policy is not customer friendly, I would take an exchange if they had. I am not driving all over the city to find the exact phone, and why would I ever want a store credit. I need a working phone. Terrible - customer service."

"Was told that i could return the backup battery upon purchasing it. However 4 days later when i tried to return it, they wouldn’t take it back. Never shopping there again. I will get so much better service from literally anywhere else. "

Dont buy online...now I know why Factory Direct has one star rating!

"Purchased a simple garden hose online to pick up at the Winnipeg location on St James St. The web site said product "In Stock" at Winnipeg location, I Paid online and received my receipts and confirmation and no where did it say I needed to wait till product arrived or that they would notify me when product arrived AND as mentioned web site stated product was in stock at the Winnipeg location!
Two days later I drove to this location which is a fair distance and was told my product had not arrived! No one could show me anywhere in the emails that it stated this or that I had to wait....the weird part is that there was at least 25 of this exact item on their shelves!! Even stranger is that they could not give me one of those, I had to cancel the online order, (then hope for a refund) and buy it from the store directly. I purchase a lot online and never had this strange experience, very mickey mouse outfit! It almost appears to be some scam so that the local store/owner tries to cancel the online order and then sell from their own stock??

HORRIBLE.....PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISGUSTING SERVICE

"I ORDERED MICROWAVE THROUGH ONLINE. EVERYTHING WENT FINE TILL THE MONEY THEY CHARGED TO MY CREDIT CARD. AFTER THAT STATUS IS SHOWING FROM A WEEK THAT ORDER IS PROCESSING AND NOT YET SHIPPED. WHEN I CALLED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE, RUDE CSR REPLIED THAT THEY HAVE ISSUES IN ACCESSING THE SYSTEM AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN IT WILL BE RESTORED. THEIR SYSTEM IS WORKING PERFECTLY FINE TO CHARGE THE MONEY TO CUSTOMER AND AFTER THAT THEY ARE HAVING ISSUES TO PROCESS IT. NO PROCESS / NO REFUND / NO RESOLUTION / NO RESPONSE.
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DELIVERY.

Don't by "refurbished"disks

"These are disks that have been well used, not early returns. The three I bought had all be in use, i.e. powered, for more than four years. I strongly suspect that they clear some error records since two drives reported errors within a few weeks making them useless whereas for other disks this has been a very rare occurrence.

Just don't buy them. Get something new with a good manufacturers warranty.

I also wonder whose factory "refurbished" these, I suspect Joe's garage cleared the errors and put them in new bags.

A $70 disk that dies after a few weeks is not a bargain versus the same disk for $130 that lasts for years!

The worst

"I really wish I could post pictures but since I can’t..
I bought an iPhone 6 128GB from them Last year in may I think. I had to exchange my phone 4 times !! The first time I had my phone for a day before I realized something was wrong with it . The battery couldn’t hold a charge at all. The second time my The phone just kept saying no service .. it wouldn’t read my sim at all. The third phone I had the longest. But something was wrong with the motherboard & I couldn’t use my screen at all & I would have to hit the back so that the screen would work. Eventually it started to make a groove in the back so it pushed my screen up. I brought it back & they had my phone for TWO MONTHS just to give me a new one that STILL had issues. So this is my FOURTH phone from them.. the speaker didn’t work so I had to use headphones or put my phone on speaker.. the front camera didn’t work.. I’m 21.. you know how much 21 year olds love to take pictures and selfies. But because of how long it took me to get my phone back I said I’ll just deal with it .. which I did . But about 3 weeks ago my phone would shut off every time I took it off the charger .. the only time it worked is if it was charging.. then my screen started to push up... I thought maybe I dropped it or something but it was really my battery expanding. Now it’s so big, I’m lucky I bought a new phone last week because this phone is finished. The top part where the camera is no longer attached. I can see the battery.. it’s so big & scary.. it looks like it can explode at any minute. I had one year warranty which kept renewing every time I got a new phone (except for the last time) June 18 I believe (which just passed) I tried to renew it they said “we don’t do that” so I said okay... now I’m stuck with a phone I can’t even fix or use. I tried to speak to a manager & no one answers the phone . I will never spend another dollar in that store.. you’d think with all the trouble I went through they’d give me a new phone or fix the garbage they gave me so I can pawn it off to someone else
