Never again!

"I ordered a wheeled duffle which never arrived. Although promised in time for my departure, three days after the item left the ebags warehouse, all tracking info disappeared. I communicated with three different customer service reps via online chat - all promised to get back to me. Did I ever hear from any of them? Of course not. I’m currently attempting to get my money back. They’ve had my payment for three weeks now and I have neither the bag nor a refund. Buyer beware - ebags is the worst online company I’ve ever dealt with. I intend to let everyone I know that they should be avoided at all costs. If there were a zero star option, I would have selected it. "

Review Policy and Customer Service ****

"Wow. In a day and age that you can buy a mattress and use it for months to see if you like it, this company will not let you try their bag and return it if you aren't happy with the product. I purchased the TLS Mother Lode Weekender Convertable backpack and used it for a weekend trip, where I realized I hated it. Despite being a backpack, it's too big for a carry-on. It literally doesn't fit in the overhead compartment of an airplane and I had to check it. It's not even remotely water resistant, as it was in the rain for a very short period of time and all my clothes were wet. When I tried to ask about returning it after my trip, within the 30-day window, they let me know that it must have all the tags on it and can't be accepted by the warehouse if used. Apparently, a quality product and customer service don't rank high on this company's list of things that are in their core values."

Fast shipping, good quality

"If I had read reviews here first I might never have ordered from eBags, but I have ordered twice and never had a problem. Shipped out fast, the items arrived safely, and I never had a need to return anything or contact customer service -- which seems to be where a lot of people have had problems."

Promised Bag Out Of Stock

"Purchased a carry on bag on Sunday (3/3) to be delivered on Wednesday (3/6) for an upcoming trip leaving on Friday. I received an email on Tuesday (3/5) stating that the bag I ordered and paid for was out of stock. They even started the email with "Hello Valued Customer". Ebags is selling merchandise that they don't have! Very disappointed to say the least. I can not and will not ever deal with them ever again, and will let others know about my experience as well. Lesson learned I'll purchase my luggage locally or via Amazon. At least Amazon wouldn't have sold something they didn't have and if they did, they always put the customer first and make compensation for the inconvenience."

Avoid frustration, avoid ebags

"This company is incompetent or a scam or both. As with many others reporting here- Failed to deliver on time, offered rote excuses, refused to cancel order, failed to keep promises regarding facilitating return. Resolution still pending. Order from them and expect endless frustration. READ REVIEWS BEFORE ORDERING! I regret not having done so."

I wish I would have read the reviews...

"I purchased two expensive Eagle Creek suitcases from eBags. The zipper on one of them broke the first time I used the bag. eBags refuses to stand by their product and is telling me I need to go to the manufacturer to get a replacement. They don't stand behind their products. Need a new suitcase? I'd recommend going elsewhere."

Cancelled order 4 days after order confirmation

"I placed my order on November 24 during the Black Friday online discounting season and received an order confirmation containing an estimated delivery date. Four days later, I received a cancellation notice from eBags telling me the item was out of stock. The cancellation came after most other online retailers had ended their Black Friday promotions for this bag at the same price as eBags.com. eBags.com didn't even give me the option of keeping the order open until they got the item back in stock."

Carry-on is not allowed on major airline

"Bought a carry-on (described as such on website) as a gift for my daughter flying from home to grad school and back several times a year on the only airline available American Airlines. Wrapped it for this Christmas (which is still a month away), but decided yesterday that I'd better be sure it will be acceptable to AA...lo and behold it is not. eBags has a 30 day return policy and I'm at 37 days. I sent them an inquiry basically telling them that their carry-on is NOT and asking if there was any way I could return it. They said no... and there was no discussion. NOT happy, won't return.

Worst customer service ever

"I purchased 2 things. One was a rolling tote and 4pk packing cubes. The rolling tote had a broken handle and the cubes were just too big for what I needed. I returned them and expected a full refund minus the 4.95 shipping cost they would credit my account. When my return was processed, they kept about $25 from my order including charging me 4.95 per cube even though it came in a pack of 4. I e mailed customer service with no response. Few days later I called customer service and talked to someone for 45 minutes, she said she couldn’t help me and would have a supervisor call back within 24 hours. No calls after 30 hours and I called back only to be told there is no record of my call and I would have to wait 48 hours for a call back now. Absolutely the worst customer service ever. "

Don't waste your time or money

"I ordered a backpack, and after three weeks of not receiving my order, or any sort of shipment notification or communication. When I looked up my order it simply said it was Confirmed, but hadn't shipped yet. I followed up with customer service to see what the hold up was. They informed me there were unable to ship to my country (Canada) and that my order had actually been cancelled the day I placed it. I received no notice of this, my credit card has not been refunded, and it still shows my order as confirmed when I look it up. "

BEWARE

"Sold me a defective golf bag. Faded within 2 months. Golf bags meant to be in sun. Got order wrong twice. Customer service insulting and terrible. Gave me the runaround had me call manufacturer who sent me back to them twice. No resolution. "
