"I ordered Canon SX50 online 12/18/2012, order number 80900-O, price $322.05.
They emailed me next day, 12/19/2012, and told me the camera I ordered was ‘Japanese’ version, not ‘USA’ version. According to them, the ‘Japanese’ version came without ‘memory card’ and ‘battery’. However, if I wanted memory card and battery with the camera (‘USA’ version); then, the price would be $399.

This is ridiculous. This information was not disclosed anywhere on their website, or at any time during the transaction. In addition, I had googled, and no one had what they called ‘Japanese’ version in the States.

They cancelled my order 12/20/2012.

"Wow It's Sunday and I receive a phone call from Digital Depot and to my surprize they are calling to confirm my lens purchase.
Upon discussing what my camera needs are,it is discovered that I have in fact ordered the incorrect lens for my camera.Quickly and with out any delay in processing my order,the correct lens is on the way. These guys know thier business and take excellent care of thier customers. Two thumbs up a A+++ rating

"I will never buy anything from digitaldepotonline.com. They are liers. They post the price they don't want to sell. They post the product they don't have. I just experience it myself. I should have listened to the bad reviews here. First, I thought the online experience was good. However, all the stories begin with their email for call. Even though they got all the info online already, they asked me to call to confirm. They asked for credit card security CVV. I regretted that I gave it to them because when I ordered online, they may not see it directly. The next thing is that they asked me to buy accessories. Because I did not agree to buy accessories, they cancelled my order. Now, I am worried because they have all the credit card info from me. I have to call my credit card company and watch all the transactions."

"Customer service rep Josh was very cordial when I asked to exchange a Sigma lens for a Nikkor lens that was offered at time of purchase. I am sending the lens back today via UPS and as long as I timely receive the Nikkor 55-300 lens after they receive the Sigma back (this Wed 12/5), I will remain a very satisfied customer. Thank you."

"A service manager called me and offered various perks for me to change my review to 5 star, like what happened to many of the reviews listed here on this site. When asking them to ship me the 80-400mm lens I ordered orginally for evaluation, they declined, which makes me wonder even more on their sales tactics. Below is my original post:

Initially I ordered a Nikon D7000 W/ Zoom Package (W/ New 80-400mm) Package and received an email to call back to confirm my order. When I called them back, the sales person started by trash talking about the 80-400mm lens and suggested me to switch to a Nikon brand 70-300mm zoom. With an unsure feeling, I did some research that night on Nikon's website and found there are two such lenses, on at $172 and one at $599. I immediately called them the following day to make sure I am not getting the cheap one and the sale person promised me that I would be getting the better one. When I received the package, guess what, it was the cheap one with no warranty card. I then had to call their customer service. After a long wait that nearly drained my cellphone battery, I got through and they agreed to exchange my lens to a 55-300mm one (worth $399). I made it clear that the lens must be new with U.S. warranty and they agreed to that. A few days later, I received the exchange lens shipped without the original lens box, and again with NO warranty card. It became clear to me that Digital Depot Online used the bait and switch technique in conducting their business. If they are not interested in selling the 80-400mm lenses in the package, why they even list it and why I had to call them back after already paid them online? Why are the lenses they sent me always withour warranty card? I am very disappointed and frustrated. So, this is it and I will never do business with them again.
