Errors and obstinance

"I stopped by to pick up a battery and browse for a couple other items. The girl working the counter greeted me and asked if I needed any help. I was unsure of the exact battery I needed, so I asked for her help. After giving her the exact year and model of my bike, she gave me brand/price options and showed me over to the battery shelf. I opted for the Yuasa and she pointed it out on the shelf. After returning to my bike to swap batteries, I noticed that the battery that was in my bike was of a different size. The old battery was 14s and she had sold me a 10s. I called the the store back and the girl that helped me originally answered the phone. I asked her to double check the info because I have a discrepancy between battery sizes and the new battery seems too small as the hold down strap is loose. She asked to take my number so she could call me back. After some time, she called back stating that the battery I left the store with was correct and that "her friend" has the same bike and that's the size he has in his bike. The next day I did my own research and the size I had in the bike originally was the correct size. When I returned to the store I waited for the employee who opened that day. While he was helping another customer with the batteries, I noticed a application card, which also stated that my bike required a 14s not a 10s. The employee finished the other customers transaction and came to assist me. After I briefed him on the situation, he pulled a book from behind the counter and said that I was correct and was sold the wrong size battery. The store did not carry the size I wanted in the Yuasa brand so I had to settle for a duraboost. He knocked $10 off and refunded the difference back. The Santa Rosa store has reputation for being a "you're taking you life into your own hands" type of store when it come to the work that is done there, they didn't disappoint and that's a horrible thing. If the girl had admitted to the mistake, instead of denying it and backing up the denial with alleged second hand knowledge, I wouldn't have even been mad. But this experience is sadly what this store is known for, and will continue to be known for. I will not be a repeat customer."
