I took the email into CycleGear Auburn and showed them and they refused or honor their own companies website. I returned my purchase to them and ordered the exact same item from cycle gear.com and saved $70. Why have a price guarantee if you won’t honor it even against your own website?"

"The people there are nice and helpful. I've been there many times, it's pretty much my main parts place. Went there to get some riding pants that were water proof. The woman showed me a couple option explained the pro's and con's of one's you wear and ones you put over your pants. I chose the ones you just wear becuase it had knee pads and i messed up my knee in a fall one time. I would like to keep my knee's."

" Although their tire prices were competitive, the time it took to deliver them was slow. Also, the service pricing for mounting and balancing was High not to mention the time it took for them to do the service. ( through my research of purchase and service pricing, I found two businesses that offered no charge for mounting and balancing if the tires were purchased from them! But unfortunately they were an hours drive away)
I asked a customer who came out of the store with his tires mounted, how long it took Cycle Gear to do that service and he commented the same day because of first come first serve policy. The only reason I got my tires mounted on the third day was because I complained about how long it was taking to get them mounted while he said he could not promise them at any time or day . He said he was the only person that mounted tires but had to cover the sales floor (and I saw two other employees there as well, go figure?)
I told him that I had just purchased these tires from their website and couldn’t understand why there wasn’t a dedicated employee to do the service. Especially since my store purchase was a certainty compared to a probable customer purchase!"

"I took in my dirt bike wheels and tires to be changed over to some new tires (purchased elsewhere) and new heavy duty tubes. DOT Tires so it was the $50 per wheel service that includes balancing of the tire.
This location is a hour drive each way for me. - Said they would call when completed - about 1-2 days. OK that's fine...
C.G. Called - Ready for pick up... I said I'll be in the next day as its 2 to 2-1/2 hr round trip.
I got there - Tires looked good, although I noticed there were no wheel weights on the rims.....? Rang up $50 a tire.... I asked if the service would be $ 25 Ea. as the tires were only half done (Non DOT Service), since they were not balanced. The employee went to ask if they were balanced by the manager that was on his lunch parked in his red truck. Employee came back and asked if I could hang out as the only guy is on his lunch break.. I said no, this is why we planned me coming in that day with a phone call. I ask him to have his guy (Found out it was the manager) to clock in and finish my job so I can go, and then he can go back to his lunch. I'm not being paid or getting a discount from Cycle Gear for wasting my time. The manager came in a bit aggravated swiftly grabbed the tires/rims and brought them back a little while later and said here you go.. Like I was the problem here...? It's not the customer’s fault this location cannot complete the tire service job 100% and be customer oriented, so they might want to shop there again.
This Cycle Gear owes me a half hour of my life back!
I will not be back or recommend this location. The manager needs an attitude adjustment and knowledge of what the $ 50 DOT tire service includes.

"I was shopping for boots for adventure style riding. The low cost model in the store was not well made and the only other model had a buckle on each side that cut into my outside shin. The staff kindly ordered me Alpinestars Corozal boots, size 10. I paid for them in the store, and they were shipped within a week to the store. They fit perfectly, but if they hadn't the staff said I could return them free and they'd get another size. I'd much rather do this than buy online then have to figure out shipping back if they didn't fit. Only suggestion: carry this brand/model boot on the store shelf so others can see how great it is. Thanks guys!"
