I wanted a standalone camcorder, but the order wouldn't go through so i had to call. upon speaking with a rep, they insisted the stansalone camera wasn't in stock and that i had to buy the bundle, which added 150 dollars to the standalone price, bundling a cheap 10 case, a 10 dollar battery, and a 10 dollar lens kit for the aforementioned 150 dollar premium.
i needed next day air and because the other retailers were closed (after 5pm on friday) i had no choice but to deal with them. they charged me 100 dollars flat for shipping with fedex, that fedex quoted as costing 35 dollars!
To top it all of, the camera i received was mfgr'ed a year earlier, using the older possible revision and firmware.

This company stinks. Be wary of their prices. You'll get alot less than you think. "

"I ordered the Panasonic AGHVX200- travel kit included and saved about $1000 from other dealers.The camcorder was in stock and shipped promptly. Some of the travel kit items were of little use and the camera case was too small for this big camera. I asked customer service about it and sent a much bigger case (and wheels!) at no charge! They have been straight-up in all my dealings and came through on all their promises. I am very satisfied. web site said "there was a problem placing your order - please call 800....)

after calling the store they said "we have very few of the dsc-h9 in stock -- but we can sell it to you for $500.00 if you order the 'KIT' - but we can't sell it to you without the 'KIT'.

in short - misleading advertising & bait-and-switch.

I emailed customer service, got no response. When I called, they had little interest in their website failing, and asked what I ordered. When I told them the TV, they said it was out of stock, unless I purchased a $500 set of accessories.

"I saw all the bad reviews thought that it wouldn't hurt to try for the cheep price. Like people said, the site will say "IN STOCK" when in reality they are not. Placed my order for a Canon XH-A1 and got the email saying to call them to confirm the order. When I called I just a machine saying leave a message. I thought it was a little odd not speaking to a rep. but whatever. "This place had the lowest price around. I saw terrible reviews for it but thought it couldn't hurt to try it out. I just _had_ to find out if it was for real.

Ordered a Sony HDR-SR7 camcorder which was reported as in stock. Next day got an email to call them (no surprises--other people who ordered from them had the same thing happen). I called them and [again, no surprises] was told that it was out of stock and they wouldn't get any more for 3 weeks. I promptly canceled my order without buying any upgraded kits or accessories.

The camera is still listed as being in stock because that's how they sucker people into placing orders and then having to call them.

So my curiosity is satisfied. Don't waste your time ordering from this place. Spend the extra bucks at trustworthy retailers and you don't have to worry about bait-and-switch tactics."

"Well I think it is pretty obvious that this place wont sell anything without buying the kit. I knew that ahead of time, so it was not an issue, the camera was cheaper through zoommania with a kit than it is without most other places. Not to mention they were the only ones with that camera in stock (panasonic hvx200).

All said and done, they gave me a free upgrade to 2 day air and added two extra years onto my warranty just because I asked.

Buy it with the kit and you'll get it, soon, mine shipped that day. If you try to get one without the kit, then your not going to get it, look elsewhere I guess."

"As with almost every other comment about this company in the last few months, they tried to pull a bait and switch with me. I placed an order for a single camera, which was (and still is) listed as "In Stock", yet they ask you to call after you place the order because it's now "Out of Stock". "We don't know when the website will be updated." Yeah, right.

They still have it though, if I want to upgrade to the package that costs $164 more to include a couple of lens cleaners, a plastic case, and a spare battery. Otherwise, I can try back in two weeks (which, from others' comments, I'm sure won't make a difference).
