Great company!

"My county in FL went ?digital so all my analog scanners would not recieve them. Spoke with Joe at Zip Scanners who reassured me the scanner I was interested in (SDS100) would pick them up. Scanner arrived and worked right out of the box with them programing it for me.
Great company and support, highly recommend Zip Scanners!

I have bought 2 times from them and both times where negative.

"1st experience i purchased a TRX-1, the held for 15 days because they say "We didnt think you wanted it since it wont work in your area". Given thats horse crap, it does and always has worked in my area. But I had paid for it, I wanted it.
Finally after 4 weeks I get it, it's used bad said excellent condition. Well the screen had been cracked, and not in shipping the box was perfect inside and out. So after 2 more weeks got $100 off, but I had to change my review. So I changed it to just include the new terms of changing the review, same score, same issue.. lol

2nd Bought a screen protector 8/28/21 from them on there store on Amazon.
The screen protector is the wrong size, it's about half the size that they show that it is in pictures and there install video.

Do you self a favor and just shop anywhere else. Guys are a joke/pos. doing fraud if you look at the other reviews.

Digital scanners ****!!!

"I purchased a new scanner when the county I live in switched to digital. I was excited to get my new scanner thinking I would hear plenty of talk but this is not the case. I live about five miles outside the city where my analog scanner worked fine. With the digital scanner I get nothing. If I take the digital scanner into the city I get about two transmissions per hour. With my old scanner I would get about forty per hour. I can come to only one of two conclusions, either all the cops in my city went on strike or my scanner is worthless! Since I
see no evidence of my city burning down I will go with the my second guess. If you are looking to hear a parking complain every few hours this is the scanner for you. If you want all the action good luck with your search. On a positive I now have a new $600.00 paper weight.

Impressed with ZipScanners, Disgusted with USPS Shipping

"I have zero negative comments about ZipScanners as a company, I dealt with Jessie, and he treated me as well as can be expected from any company. I ordered the Uniden SDS100 Scanner, and the DC adapter. I was very frustrated with the USPS shipping that they use, (minus 1 star) however, the scanner is worth the minor frustration to me. I am impressed with this scanner. I do not understand the negative reviews about 'difficult programming'. Just take some time to read the owners manual, it is all right there, and it is relatively easy to understand. You don't have to be a Rocket Scientist. (an internet connection is needed) Download the Sentinel software from uniden.com, run the software, update the firmware, update the HPDB (Database), and start creating your favorites lists. Write them to the scanner, re-boot the scanner, select the lists you want to scan on the scanner, and you are good to go. Very nice display screen, and audio is clear as a bell. Some of the features are a bit confusing, but the scanner itself is pretty easy to use, and you can hear a LOT of stuff with it, as long as it is not encrypted, (not very common in my area) Check your local systems for encryption before you buy if you are concerned with encryption, as no commercially available scanner will decipher encryption."

The best in customer service!!

"I purchased a Tex-1 and additional antena from this place! I had a bit of trouble setting my device up and Joey was nothing more than patient with me helping me resolve the situation. Before I purchased my antenna on zip, I went to Ham Radio Outlet and inquired about a better antenna for reception. It was the worst experience I’ve had in a while - totally dismissive. But zip scanners has gone above and beyond for me, and that speaks volumes! Highly recommend!"

Great Communication and product

"I was having trouble getting tracking information on a recent purchase, after trying multiple times I went to zip scanner website, entered chat and explained my problem gentleman said they would get right back to me. After a very short wait received an email with link to my tracking. Now that may not seem to some a big thing but it does show they are concerned about your problem be it a big problem or small problem. Recieved my article and worked perfect.

False promises and no refund

"Promised my scanner would work here in my location.... it didn't/ doesn't. After back and forth trying to rectify I find out our County is encrypted (although zip scanners doesn't believe it). ask for refund, but they said it was past their return period (even though we've been trying to make it work for a period of time) Next I'll review on Google, yahoo, and everywhere else. I'll keep the worthless (to me) scanner, you keep my money. I'll let everyone know though!"

"ZIPSCANNERS Above and beyond top notch company customer support !!!

I can't thank ZIPSCANNERS enough, My scanner TXR1 came 3 dayz after I ordered it from their site, I had them program it . I messed up some how updating the library scanner was dead, I called and talked to Jessie (customer support), Very easy to talk to. It was my fault the SDCard got erased, I called ZIP and Jessie sent a new programed SDcard was sent with no charge, Thanx ZIP and crew!

I don't think Amazon Prime couldn't of got to my door faster. than the Team at ZIPSCANNERS! If any body is wanting to buy a scanner there is no other place to purchase one! Once again to Jessie and Joey. just want to tell how again,THAN YOU VERY MUCH.

Thanks Zip Scanners!

"I purchased a Whistler TRX-1 and, although there is a learning curve (I am a first time scanner buyer), I had it up and running in no time--first using the set location feature (yep, it works!), and soon after also with the Whistler software for WIndows. The Windows was a little more challenging as I had to get a scanner driver to install (thanks to radioreference.com forums), but I now have this all running smoothly as well. Within 24 hours of unboxing my scanner, it has the current CPU firmware and libraries installed and I am scanning everything that I want.

So, yeah, happy to give this whole experience five stars! Thanks Zip Scanners!

Good customer service I can call them anytime.

"Bought this because of the new systems it could receive. Also bought a bcd436hp. Side by side, the Whistler reception is sub par except for low band. Great reception on low. However my departments are on 800 trunked, and if I have both locked on the dispatch tgid the bcd436 will work but the Whistler won't unless I hold it above my head. Good customer service I can call them anytime."

Lots of mistakes

"Ordered a Uniden Bearcat SDS-100 scanner with 3 county programming and a Remtronix O-ring antenna. I received the scanner after a few days without the Remtronix antenna. The antenna was included on the packing list though. I called and was told it was shipping separately from another warehouse. After several more days I checked again and was told that it was shipped incorrectly. I then received the tracking and the antenna showed up but it was the wrong one.

When I tried to set up an exchange I was told I did not order the O-ring antenna. I sent a screen shot to them showing that I did indeed order it and it was acknowledged by them before shipping. I was told, sorry, backordered, the one we sent is just as good. Funny, because they recommended the one I ordered and not the one that was sent.

I got 3 counties programmed for free when I ordered during a Christmas special. I had to spend time reprogramming the scanner because they messed up all three counties. My main county was missing the 2 largest cities. One county had no agencies within its border but a neighboring county. And another was missing several large agencies. I'm glad that I know enough about the software to fix their errors. I would have been really upset if I paid for the programming.

On a positive note, the scanner works great and receives simulcast better than my 536 and HP2 ever did. But these guys just don't seem to be on it. I did get an apology from them but the damage is done. Look elsewhere for better customer support.

"You guys have done it again, I ordered another scanner from you (SDS100) on Friday evening, you programmed it and shipped it out on Saturday afternoon, here it is Monday morning in California and my scanner is already here ! You all are amazing, I will continue to order from your company. Thank you for such great service."

Remarkable!

"First, I decided after much research the Whistler TX1 Scanner was to be my best choice. The scanner is phenomenal! Its features are outstanding. Although I live very far out in the country I'm able to receive transmissions clearly. At one time, three different agencies(the local police, Tribal Police and the Sheriff's Department) were communicating with one another and I was able to listen to all of them. Very cool!

Second, Zip Scanners had the lowest price for this unit.

Third but not least, Zip Scanners customer service can't be beat. I've talked with two different Tech's receiving both courtesy and informative answers to my questions. Jessie and Joey answered all of my questions even the dumbest question I have. My experience with this company has been nothing short of remarkable! I'm looking forward to my continued business with them.

KEEP THE GOOD WORK GUYS!!!

"Weekends, weekdays 24/7, they have an exceptional service. It might be a small company but their customer service is up there along with big companies I have delt with.

I'm not easy to impress, but I am. I bought a TRX-1with their programming, they had a question about it, they kept calling me until they finally reached me at about 11pm on a weekend!

They wanted to finish the programming on the weekend so they could ship it that week. How is that for service? I recommend them without any reservation. KEEP THE GOOD WORK GUYS!!!
