"I ordered a video card and was charged 440.00$.

The NEXT DAY, before the order had even been shipped, they lowered their price by 10$ and their competitor lowered its price by 30$. I contacted them and ask for them to meet the new lower price and was instead sent an RMA number and told I could return the card at my expense if I didn't want it and they would charge me a 15% restocking fee (15% of 440$ = 66$ +return shipping). I followed this up with a call to customer service and was basically told tough luck.

I should have checked their rating here, they have a 5 out of 10 for the last 6 months, that clearly shows a company not meeting its customers needs and making no effort to keep them happy. Their competition has a nearly perfect rating and that is where I will shop from now on.

"Item ordered, item description page made no mention the item was out of stock / unavailable. Paid the extra express shipping cost. Card was Charged. Status page said in order; item processed; item packaged; and then "backordered". Cancelled order; representavive was helpfull in cancelation and mentioned the refund which was processed. If zipzoomfly had mentioned the item needed to be backordered before they indicated it was processed and packaged, or had this been indicated at the purchase / item page then I would not have bothered to use express shipping. If this is their business practice then I am hesitant to use zipzoomfly for any future purchases."

"I placed an order last night from this gyes but when I placed my order it did not say that was out of stock and now my order is in backorder and this sucks because I would not have placed my order if I knew that. and now I cant cancel my order because of this ( Click the "Cancel" button located next to the order number. "I ordered an Intel QX6800 CPU, as well as an ASUS Triton 78 heatsink/fan combo for my new CPU. I placed my order early in the day, and was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was shipped later that same night.

Shipment was made via Fedex 5-9 day service, but due to my proximity to their warehouse in CA, it arrived extremely quickly - on 12/19/09.

Everything was properly packed, in unopened retail boxes with full warranty information, and worked just fine upon installation into my computer.


The only minor quirk was that the CPU cooler was offered with a $15 mail-in rebate, but the "offer #" on the downloadable PDF for the rebate differed from the one listed for the promotion on the ASUS rebate service website. Some searching there found me the correct rebate link, but it would have been nice to have the correct offer ID listed in the first place.


I did not have any issues to specifically resolve, and as of now I would be happy to do business with them again.

"Second time ordering from this vendor and it will not be the last time. Bought a DVDRW burner with a rebate involved from ZZF and got the burner within one day after my credit card was approved. It was packed nicely and secure. Now all I'm waiting for is the rebate to come."

"My video card died within the 30 day return period, so I sent in for an rma and got a phone call telling me I tampered with the video card because a piece of plastic that hEld the decrative cover on it was broken. So after arguing with them about a piece of plastic that has no funtion to the video card what so ever they throw in " there is a burnt chip on the board" well that would be the reason it failed. but they tell me I did it. and now im stuck with a $600 paper weight."

This company sent me a dead video card. I paid for 2 day shipping and received the product 5 days later. They blamed Fed-X, no accountability at all. They gave me an RMA number to send the dead video card back, took them 4 weeks almost to process and tell me they are sending the dead video card back as it is not their problem it appeared that something was shorted on the board. This bad video card also damaged the mother board I had purchased from them, and I had to now buy a new mobo along with the correct memory. This company is absolutely horrible. Has no problem taking your money, but takes no accountability for anything else.

"Very Slow shipping. They take forever to process an order. Ordered on the 9th, and product didn't ship till the 14th. Much faster processing and shipping at other sites. Only purchased from them because of the various payment options available. Too bad they are so slow."

"Beware of ordering memory sticks from this site. I should have check ZZF recent rating before I place my recent order. The website does not categorize desktop and laptop memory separately. I mistakenly ordered laptop memory for my desktop upgrade. I purchased CPU with MB and the memory together and noticed the mistake before I received the package. Obtained the RMA CN289276 right away for returning the memory which I have not received at that time. The memory was returned unopened upon received. The return shipping is paid out of my own pocket and I also got deducted 15% restocking fee for unopen item from my refund. Customer service won't waive the restocking fee. Well this is my last time deal with ZZF. Be worry when you browser through their memory list. You might have to pay return shipping and restocking fee for their stupid website design."

"I ordered a part from this company a month ago. Over the past 4 years I have probably spent close to $4k dollars with this company. I am no stranger to this company or their customer service and have witnessed how it has gone downhill over the years. I should say off the bat that I am a help desk technician for a very large company and have a lot of experience with hardware, retailers and RMAs. I am writing this review in regards to a personal order for my home computer.

The part I received was damaged and defective out of the box. I opened the box and noticed the part was damaged. The part was left on my doorstep so I did not get it immediately, however, my first phone call to ZZF went in about an hour after actual delivery. I requested an RMA for the defective part.

They asked a couple questions which I was honest about. They asked the purpose of the RMA and I told them the part was damaged out of the box and did not work. They asked if the packaging was damaged. I said I did not see any damage to the box. Their response then was to send them pictures of the product to determine if an RMA would be issued.

I wasn't thrilled with the idea of trying to figure out how to send them photographs of the product with a broken computer so I contacted the manufacturer for an RMA. However, they suggested going through the retailer due to the fact that they would have a longer turnaround time on the RMA. I explained the situation in full to them and they said it should not be a problem for ZZF to RMA the product.

I contacted ZZF back and told them what I had heard from the manufacturer and requested if there was any way I could RMA the part without sending them pictures. The reason for difficulty of sending in pictures is because the part I was RMAing was essential to my computer functioning. I did not have a working computer to send in pictures. They said they would put in a request to the RMA department and I would hear back from them. I requested they call me and provided them with a phone number. They said I would hear from someone that night by phone.

Nobody called. They instead chose to e-mail me despite knowing I did not having a functional computer(thanks ZZF!). The e-mail basically said that they'd give me an RMA number, but would make a determination on what to do with the product once they received it. They informed me that if there was physical damage to the product (which they were informed there was due to no fault of my own) they would RMA it through the manufacturer.

I called the manufacturer since I didn't want to use ZZF as a middle man and let them know what I was dealing with. They were dumbfounded to say the least and had no idea why ZZF wouldn't just replace the product with one from their inventory and sort the issue out with the manufacturer themselves.

The manufacturer was more than happy to set me up with an RMA number for replacement. For the first time ever I found it was easier to RMA a product through the manufacturer than it was to receive service from the retailer. That is some horrible service!

I also do not like that they charge your card ahead of shipping and label your order packed or shipped when it is obviously untrue to prevent cancellation of order. I like to track packages that are shipped to me and ZZF has always frustrated me with their inaccurate status updates. I hate to throw out another name in a review, but I feel it is needed. I have found Newegg has superior customer service and quite honestly if on the off chance the part is slightly cheaper from ZZF due to rebates and such it isn't worth the headache if they ship you a defective product.

"Stores that do any amount of business will have a percentage of complaints, but this is my experience. I ordered an "Open Box" motherboard at a good discount, fully aware the package may be missing accessories -as "open box" policies state. The shipping time was reasonable and I was pleasantly surprised to find everything that normally comes with a brand new item. I'm quite satisfied with my first order from ZipZoomFly."

"It's very important to me that the company I deal with has decent customer phone service and ZipZoomFly was always there when I called! Also, I always check with Better Business Bureau before I do business with a company and they had an A+++ rating already.
