"I had lost some instructions for operating a DVD player I bought in 2002 from world-import.com--a model that is no longer made. Victor dug deep into his old files to retrieve the instructions and sent them to me. Now that's great service! I'm really glad I bought from world-import.com."

"World Gift Center has always been more than helpful to us when whether we are making a purchase or just need questions answered about one of their products. We have purchased a number of items from them and will again when the need arises. Charlie follows up with us from the time we make an inquiry until we receive the units and then again to make sure everything is OK."

"I bought a Sony 55" LCD in Janurary and I waited to write this review to make sure the unit was working properly. The TV is working fine, but it doesnt have a digital TV tuner. I guess that its my fault for not reading the description properly. However, overall TV picture quality is great. It was also convenient because I live in Chicago and was able to save on shipping costs"

"Was hestiant at first. But ordered as no one else carried the models they had. I read their google reviews which we fine, not sure why all the damage is here. And I found their service and product is fine. Just one minor hiccup, shipping was 3-5 days but took 6 days. Oh well...."

"I was totally disappointed with their service. I ordered two Sevenstar travel adapters and they sent me another cheap brand adapters for me. So if they don't have the requested brand, they could have informed me before shipping. This is very frustrating shopping experience with world-import.com. I never recommend anyone to buy from this store. "

"BUYER BEWARE! You may not get what you order and have to pay to return it! I recieved a way different model boombox than ordered - after 5 weeks of emails and calls I got a refund but they would not cover my return shipping cost. The model sent is not even on thier website - how they could dump this on me and expect me to just take it or pay to return it is just plain wrong - take your business elsewhere or take your chances. Bob B.

"I bought Region Free DVD/VHS player and Region Free DVD Recorder. I had to return both of them within a month due to some porblems I had already. I had to pay extra to get the one looked better. However, I started having problem on both of them again within a year. I called Victor, but he was not very helpful. One of the problem was that The Region Free DVD recorder started not to read any of my US store bought DVDs at all.(They are playable on the other regular player, though.) Victor said that the DVDs are wrong, so I need to exchange them from the store. By my experience of using 4products from them is that the products that they sell are all JUNK!! I told him, that I won't buy from you anymore, he said that's OK. So I won't. "

"I originally purchased Region Free DVD/VHS player and Recorder. A month later, I had to return and exchange both of them, paying more to get the one that looks better.Within a year, I started having problem on both player or recorder. I called Victor, but he said there is nothing he could do!
The 4 recorder or player I got from them were all JUNK!!! I will not buy from them again!

"World Imports will definitely have my buisness!!! I have also been searching for movies out of print and can find most of them at Amazon United Kingdom; however, we all know that European movies can't play on our players. I found this place after a search on line and was, I admit, afraid..you never know what you're getting online. I was so surprised! They even called me after my order was placed to let me know that the player I ordered they have had problems with and suggested a different one and said it was even cheaper!! After I got my universal DVD player I had it hooked up by myself in less than five minutes! I've had my player now for six months and no problems! I just placed another order for my mom so she can watch her German movies on a universal player!! 10 stars for this place! :) "

"Bought a Panasonic Region Free Portable DVD from them. Cost: $289.99. It worked great for a couple of months, then developed screen problems and eventually it also stopped reading discs. I sent it back for repair in mid September 09. Over 2 months, I got nothing but weak excuses and delays from some guy called Victor. It was always: "call back next week," or "I'll call you when I hear something." Then just before Thanksgiving I called and he said the unit was repaired and on its way back from the service center in Singapore. When I followed up after the holiday, his story was completely different: no repair, no warranty coverage. I seriously doubt the unit ever left their store based on this level of careless dishonesty and disrespect for customers. Unless you can afford to lose your money and your goods, buy elsewhere; these creeps don't deserve our business. "

"Congratulations to Victor B. and Management team of the World Gift Center for a great transaction. My original Insignia machine I purchased on this date arrived quickly and packed very well. I had experienced some problems with that unit and had to return it. I had it exchanged for a Pioneer DVD Player DV-610 AV-K which arrived again very fast and well packed and it's the best DVD Player I've ever owned and I've owned plenty different models. This one beats even the Sony Models. The picture quality is as if not better than the Sony's and it has the best audio DVD sound I've heard from any model player. With Pioneer's dialouge enhancer, you hear the slightest whisper of speech through the surround sound effects. Other players you get good separation but even setting audio on night modes some speech is still hard to hear. With this Pioneer, no problem. Turn on the dialouge enhancer with the Tru Surround effects and it's a whole new world. And the total Pioneer sound and picture is so clean and clear on my older recordings-audio and visuals are like watching many for the first time- a whole new experience.Thanks also to Victor who I spoke to over the phone during this process and answered all my questions perfectly. Many nice variety of items are on the World Gift Center site and I will definitely be returning regularly for any electronic purchases. Early next year my next purchase will be going towards a Pioneer DVD Recorder. I love Region-Free playback also-any disc plays perfectly in these units. "When first using this item, it worked great, but after recording a few times, now it seems like the brightness flickers at certain times, and the colors appear be very bright, people look kinda orange, i hope this isnt a flaw in the item itself, and hope someone will contact me perhaps with some help. I have tried to find a color correction device for this, but so far nothing."
