"I recieved my Sting 917 laptop last week that I had ordered earlier this month and am Insanely happy with it. It was slightly delayed, but it still arrived faster then any other laptop I have ordered from other companies. The customer service was all types of great and all sorts of helpfull. When it arrived I noticed it had been upgraded to a dual processor system free of charge. There is no other company where your going to get this kind of service. I work for a tech company and when it was delivered and unpacked work stopped for at least a hour. Just the sight of it is impressive, the pictures dont do it justice. I have built my own gaming desktops for many years, but I am so impressed that my next might just be ordered from widowpc.com

I work for an aerospace company that builds flight simulators for corporate and military customers. I travel more than two-hundred-seventy days per year all over the world--except Antarctica. Penguins don't fly, and so don't buy simulators. My job means I live out of a hotel and a half-terabyte hard drive.

In April, Computer Gaming World reviewed the Sting 9096 from Widow PC. I needed a new laptop, and its upgradable video card cinched the purchase. Widow PC's sales worked with me to try to get the machine to me before I left for work in Europe. Unfortunately, this didn't happen. After returning, I got the machine and enjoyed it immensely until the video card failed.

Widow PC let me return the machine as if it was under warranty--despite having had it past thirty days. They repaired and returned it to me AT NO COST. Again, they humored me and shipped it to the hotel near the military base where work had me.

Work took me back to Europe the following month. The machine ran fine until the return transatlantic flight. It began locking up, crashing, and failing to boot. It died completely two days later.

I called Widow PC, but got no one. I left two messages, and they RETURNED my calls later that day. They even apologized for the delay. I had written emails in the interim, and they ANSWERED these too. They were unfailingly polite and respectful--none of that "have you tried turning it off and back on" condescension. By conversation's end I had an RMA number and an appointment for UPS pick-up for 2nd Day Air return. They paid attention when I said I wanted the current hard drive back--even if bad--and that I wanted a new second hard drive installed while they had the machine.

I emphasize this last point by repeating it. Widow PC has such good customer service that a trouble call turned into an ADDITIONAL SALE. I wish my employer had such good service for our customers. We certainly charge enough.

I recommend Widow PC to anyone in the market for a new computer. The small premium they charge over giant resellers like Dell falls far below what one would pay retail in US, Canada, Australia, or esp. the UK. That premium turns well-spent if you need customer service."

"The hard drive on my laptop crashed so I couldn't go online and use tech support. Instead I called and left phone messages, to which I didn't get a response for several days. But as soon as I did use the online support, I was answered within the hour and the problem is on its way to being resolved.

Whatever problem Widow was having in returning phonecalls, the support I have received since has restored my faith in the company. I chose Widow instead of Alien because sales personnel were so much more available, responsive, honest and helpful."

Even before I decided to buy I talked to a very helpful person from the sales department and helped me design a system for what I needed. Excellent support amazing delivery time. "After much browsing of the web, I decided to try WidowPC for my new laptop that I will take with me next time I deploy. Several of my airmen are also thinking of laptops so hopefully my experience will help them with their choice. I ordered the PC, which was very easy to do. I had to make a change to the way I made my payment. I called the 1-800 number and Joshua was very polite and extremely helpful. It was nice to be able to call a number and get to talk to a real person very quickly and easily. So far the experience has been positive. I will update this post once the system arrives. I won't comment on shipping though...since the military will be involved in that process it will be slower since it has to be delivered to me overseas. 9 Aug 05: Military finally got the system here. Even with the slower shipping due to the military shipping things overseas on a space available basis...still only took 10 days. It looks very sharp and the keyboard is designed well. I loaded some games, watched a movie...and have to say it is awesome. Can't wait to show it off to my friends and watch the envy in their eyes. That guy who always dies during shooter games because his system lags...won't be me anymore. It looks as though a company has finally figued it out. Great Quality, Great Service at reasonable prices. "Wow... I got saved by the bell. I ordered an Alienware 71-m 7700 two days after i got approved through alienware financing, and thank goodness I canceled it before it actually got billed. Why did I cancel? Coz I found a much better deal through WidowPC from customer service, to assembly time, delivery time, and effective communication and technical know-how of the staff.

I filed my order with Widow PC this June 21, 2005, Tuesday at 6-ish pm... I called them up this Friday to check on my order status and they said that it was already waiting for shipping on the same day, Friday, June 24,2005. WOW that was fast. They gave me the date and part of day for its arrival... Tuesday of next week, in the am, June 28, 2005.

The representative I talked to (Joshua) was very knowledgeable, direct to the point, and honest with his answers. No sales talk garbage, no hypes, or red tapes. Shows how this company respects their customers' time and concerns.
