"Ordered a Sony DVD player on Fri 11/26/2004. Called on Monday to confirm order. They gave me order # and said it would likely ship within a few days. (by the way, they charge your credit card before they ship) Their website will let you lookup your order but it will never show you any real information, like status. Called back 1 week later (after unanswered customer service emails). They said they would check w/ the warehouse and send me a status email. That was 1 week ago, they will not answer customer service phone # and will not answer email. All you get is voicemail. I want to cancel but cannot contact. I have disputed charge with my credit card company and sent them a cancellation email. I'm out of options."

"BUYER BEWARE, THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAM ARTISTS! I didn't know of this site before ordering from Wells digital, and didn't bother to do more research on them untill I had problems with my order. I also checked the Better Business Bureau and found the same problem there with Wells. My complaint is the same as the others. I placed the order, product was instock according to the web site, and it never shipped. After. 3 weeks of being told that it would ship the next day, I decided to cancel. Miraculously, they said that it shipped 2 days ago, but couldn't give me a shipping number. Amazing, isn't it?? In their defense, they did give me an immediate confirmation on the cancellation. I am curious if the credit will be the same. Just in case, I called my bank and filed a challenge to the charge just to cover all of my bases. I also I filed a complaint with the better business bureau as so many others have done."

"The IN supplied is the purchase order number(Sony DVP-NS975V DVD) at time order was placed, to date shipment hasn't been processed. The pricing on the website seemed good; but the service is atrocious. Hope packaging and customer service is better; if not, this is certainly one place I'll not buy from again.

Found same product at another site for $1 less and -7 days on shipment.

They (Wells) have offered to credit my account after cancellation of order. They neglected to inform me that they had run out of product stock.

"Order process was fast and easy; the rest of the transaction was not. Despite the fact that the site claims it can track order status, it does not. The item (digital camera) that was confirmed in stock was not, and I found this out after three emails with no response and three phone calls to voice mail. The final call found a person who confirmed that item was not available, but no explanation as to why I was never called. Given their history, I can only speculate that had I ordered more accessories my experience may have been different. They, of course, were willing to substitute another model. "

"I order two cameras on May 14, 2004. They charged me few days later but I never received those cameras. I was not able to catch anybody on the phone for over a month. The have rarely answer my e-mails also. Suddenly somebody answered the phone so I was able to cancel the order. The person on the phone was nice and assured me that I would get the money back in three days. But I didnt. I wrote couple of emails asking what was going on. After two weeks I finally got the credit. I definately not recommend WellsDigital."

"After getting the run around and misleading prices from other web sites I found Wells Digital and was very pleased with there level of service. They answered all my questions and concerns. The price and information on the website was acurate and current. Best online shopping experience I have had ever. "I ordered a Camera lense on April 28,2004. They charged my credit card the same day. After repeated calls to customer service I was able to leave a voice mail message. They sent an e-mail response,on May 26, to the effect that they did not have the item in stock and were having trouble finding the item. Therefore I canceled the order, however they did not give me a credit and I had to go back to my credit card company and dispute the charge. I would never buy from this company again and I would advise anyone else not to buy also."

"Wells Digital has the feel of a mom-and-pop store. That is, it feels like mom and pop are the only ones working there. This store can be distinguished from the slimy NYC stores by the fact that it appears to be understaffing rather than intentional rudeness that paralyzes the customer service aspect of this site.

To their credit, I was offered a service policy, which I declined and was *NOT* pressured to buy anything else. That was very refreshing. But now the bad news.

As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for." What you don't get with their extremely low prices is customer service. This place has no customer service whatsoever, so you have to decide if the difference in price is worth the lack of service. Initially, I thought it was. Unfortunately for both them and me, it was lack of customer service that caused to me cancel on May 27, after they charged my credit card on May 4 without ever having delivered the product (one of their excuses was that it was delivered to the wrong person).

A contributing problem is that your expectation level is set by the seemingly positive Golden Rule prominently displayed on their website: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." At first glance, you would think they will treat you nicely because you assume they want to be treated nicely. But no.

By their actions, they want to be ignored, given promises that don't hold up and left in the dark. Because that is how they treated me.

Don't expect any responses to your e-mails or voice mails nor following through on verbal promises to contact you. The online order status is meaningless. When I ordered my Canon GL2, I was promised a 7-10 business day delivery time. After a week, I called for a status and was told that it was backordered.

Odd, because their website said it was in stock. My online order status said it was in stock.

The phone system is a joke. The only way to get a hold of someone was to call the sales line, as nobody ever answered the customer service line. One of their excuses was that they were moving, so the phones were turned off. I was given two other extensions, which also fed me into the voice mail all of the time. Sometimes their voice mail system is so full that no message can be left. Thus they turn away potential sales! It's bad enough they turn away customers but even potential customers. It was a good thing I had speed dial because it came in handy when dialing them repeatedly.

In some small way, you have to feel sorry for these people who have to deal with angry people all the time, make lots of apologies for not returning calls and make promises to call back and follow up that they know full well they will never keep. Guess they must have all worked for the local Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

In another small way, you have to shake your head in amazement that they would take the $2000 I paid them and hand it right back to me.

I thought I could outwait them. I read all of the negative reviews here and figured that if I could wait long enough, I would eventually get my product. When the dust had cleared, I could not overcome their invincible incompetence, and went with a price match at J & R Music World. They shipped it out the very next day. On top of that, I had a tracking number, which was something WD could not supply me 3 weeks after charging my credit card.

"We looked online for a dealer who carried the new Nikon 70 and an 8mm fisheye lens. We found these guys from another sites link. We need this camera ASAP for a photo shoot in 3 days, so we paid an additional $120 for overnight shipping, still not here. i've emailed, no responce, i've called and get the same answering machine. I dont think anyone really works here. I agree with the rest, youre better off going else where. This place is a joke.

PS- I also checked their Better Buisness rating and their lisence has been revoked! they have a number on the BBB site that you can call instead of the recording. The guy answered the phone like he didnt know whaty I was talking about, but he told me to dial the number again and gave me an extention. The operator was friendly, but I promptly cancelled my order

"I purchased a Canon GL-2 Professional Kit from Wells Digital and was initially satisfied. There was a mix-up with my order and they did work to get me the camera as soon as possible. That is where my satisfaction ends. All the pieces of the kit were not sent together. As of May 26, 2004 all of the pieces of an order placed more than a month ago have not arrived. I have called daily for a week and a half and have got no response. Also, they send the wrong picture card for the camera and when I informed them of the mix-up they did not know the camera took the SD memory card and not the compact flash. "

"Great web design and easy ordering including paying with my Paypal account. Prompt email to verify order for a Fuji 700 camera then the service stopped! (My Paypal payment went thru and was deducted from my account immediately)
About 3 days later I tried to call and get status of the order, phone tied up! I finally sent an email and still no answer for a couple days.
Finally I got an email saying they no longer accepted Paypal so they'd be re-billing me in a week or so and then sending the camera! I sent another email explaining my frustration at their changing the rules in mid deal and requested my money back. Then I sent another email that I'd send a personal representative to their store to resolve the issue. I did finally get a full refund on my Paypal account some 13 days after making out the order.
Sorry, I can't agree with some of the other posters who may have received their orders promptly. Too many great vendors out there to try and squeeze another couple dollars off the price! I ordered from a competitor and got the camera in 6 days! No hassle.

"I ordered my digital cameras on May 3, I called in to comfirmed the next day, they said they had it and I would be receiving it in a week or so by UPS. I called after one full week, they said they were upgrading their system so it would be a little delay. That's fine. Finally last Friday May 14th I called again, first they told me my cameras would get here on Monday 17th, then I called again 10 minutes later to find out the tracking number but a different representative told me it would come from the manufacturer, and it would get here on Tuesday. Now today, it's Tuesday and it's about 3:30pm, I still haven't seen my cameras. I have been trying to call them up but no one answered, and I dialed 1 for sales, not only no one answered, but their voice mail was also full. Be aware of this company people.............."
