Never shipped

"Ordered a keyboard shelf for my desk on Dec 29 2016, which was listed as in stock. CC was charged. On Jan 9 I inquired about shipping status and got customer service email saying the item "had just gone out of stock" and the manufacturer would have it in stock soon. On March 4 I sent email to check status and got no reply. Now I cannot even reach their website - they've probably gone out of business"

"Ordered an item on 12-31-16, and got an automated email conformation and my credit card was billed 1-1-17. Never received a follow-up email w/ a tracking #. Sent an email on 1-22, and never received a reply. 1-23-17, called the listed ph. # and got a voice mail that my call would be returned. I noticed that the ph. # for them was probably a cell phone #. Left a msg. but never got a call back. Looked at Waresdircet rating after I made my purchase and saw that I had made a mistake. I went to their website and pulled up my order and saw that it was “shipped” but never received it or any communication from them. I called my cc issuer, VISA, and asked for the fraud department. I explained all of the above and they immediately opened a dispute and credited the full charge back to my card. I didn’t have to fight with the cc company. I was told that they would give the merchant 30 days to respond, of course they never did. I also agreed to pay for the item if it ever was received by me.

This is the 2nd time in a few years that I have had a merchant fail to ship or respond and had the charge reversed. For those of you that have this happen you should call the fraud unit of the CC company. Allege a fraud, at a minimum it is a civil fraud, which it is on its face, and to dispute the charge. Don’t bother calling the non-fraud unit ph. #, you will either get the run-around or get transferred to the fraud dept. eventually.

"I ordered mechanical pencils from Wares direct on 31 March 2015. On 20 April 2015 I received an email from them stating that the product had been discontinued and that my order had been sent to their Accounting department for refund. It is now 6 August 2015, I have called numerous times and sent at least 2 emails. No reply, NO REFUND. Do NOT use this vendor, their customer service is horrible. Each time I called i was transferred to their accounting department and got the same voicemail each time."

"I placed an order on April 1, 2015 was told it was in stock and would receive in 3 to 5 days. I never received it so I called and was then told that it was on back order and would be in within a couple of weeks. I patiently waited got my credit card statement and had been charged still no product. I emailed them about the charge and to inquire where my order was. I never got a reply to my email said they would reply within 24 hrs. After 72 hrs. I called to find out that it's still on back order and would be back in stock in a couple of days keep in mind this is now May 14, 2015 and my credit card has already been charged. I cancelled my order this was my very first order and LAST."

"I had the most horrible buying experience with this vendor. Though times have changed and people shop online for convenience, this vendor is a classic example of the "buyers beware" school of thought. They have absolutely no care or concern about customer satisfaction. Their philosophy is "we got money from your credit card" and there is nothing you can do to get the product you ordered and, we will send it to you when we feel like it. "

"I would like to give Kudo's to the folks at Wares Direct - especially Leah :)

I am usually very diligent in checking reviews on companies when I purchase online, but didn't have a chance because of my busy schedule. There are certain pens that I like to write with and bought on the low price and checked the reviews after I purchased. I was alarmed because of the poor reviews and called WaresDirect. Leah was excellent on the phone and assured me that they would take care of me.

Well they exceeded my expectations and will definitely use them again. Unfortunately you just can't make some people happy. I will admit I am skeptical of scams and non legit companies and have been burned many times, however you sometimes need to just give someone a chance.

Thanks Waresdirect - I love my pens :)

"I just ordered some banding material and there was a 10-14 day lead time confirmed after the order was placed and they would not let me cancel the order even if the order was placed just 3 hours ago. I cant understand how if the item is 2 weeks out and the order was just placed you cant cancel the freaking order. Makes no sense, this place will never see me again."

"I ordered Colombian #10 envelopes from them and I got an off brand of envelope that does not stick and it creases when you print the envelope. I called them and they told me this is what I ordered. I know 100% that I ordered what I ordered. I never buy an off brand envelope. Now I am stuck with 10 boxes. I then went online and just placed a box of Colombian envelopes in the cart and it showed the Colombian envelope but the code was for the off brand they sent me. They are dishonest. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!!!!! This is the first time I have ever done a negative review on something....ever."

"We ordered two gray Rubbermaid step stools. After several weeks, we received a beat-up carton containing three white step stools. It is very difficult to get any contact with customer service, either via email or phone. We did, however, get an email asking us to pay for the third step stool! When I finally did reach someone on the phone, they checked and, eventually, said they had made an in-house error. We should ship the wrong order back to them, at no charge, for a refund. They would send a label. After several more weeks of hassle, we had not yet gotten a label. I spent no less than 10 hours on the phone (mostly on hold, and often getting cut off) to get the label! The box was returned a month ago and I am now still trying to get a credit for the order. They owe us $67.00! I have rarely seen such a disorganized website/e-store. I would never order anything from them again. As a postscript, I found the gray step stools at another online source and had my shipment---the correct items!!!---with a week. Do NOT order from Wares Direct unless you want to spend hours of your time."

"I ordered 2 paper holders on Oct 3, 2012 and received them the next day... now you would think this is good, HOWEVER, they sent the wrong items. I called to explain that they sent the wrong items and was told I'd have to pay for return shipping and 20% restocking. They finally realized their error and sent me the postage paid return authorization but I still have not received my correct order! Customer Service doesnt answer their phones and the sales department hung up on me because I was expressing my frustration (I was not swearing... I was demanding to speak with a supervisor or someone who could resolve my issue). BADDDDDDDD customer service! Do not order from these people! "

"Placed an order 2 weeks ago and it's still showing, in process.

Called last week and was told I would be emailed a status report that day, never received it.

Called today and I get the same runaround and then was given the warehouse number to call, guess what it doesn't answer.

CC was charged the first day and 2 weeks later still no answer, the people are very unprofessional but seem to be vary good at stalling.

This place is a joke, spend your money elsewhere!

"ONLY BUY FROM WARES DIRECT IF YOU WANT NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CROSS YOUR FINGERS THAT YOU GET THE CORRECT ITEM. On March 9 I ordered a 2" x 20" replacement wheel for a Rubbermaid Garden Cart (Special Order Item). The following week I received a 4.80" x 8" wheel barrow tire and now the tale begins. I called Customer Service, they said I had reached the sales department and they would forward it to customer service. I received an immediate response they needed to "Investigate", after 5 business days with an additional contact I disputed the transaction. The following day I did receive a call from Wares Direct with a request to close the dispute before resolution and had to endure the sarcastic comments from the Wares Direct employee. The on-going responses from Wares Direct were inflate the tire, what was the box labeled, send us a picture, and we have to check our stock to get you the correct item. By now it is 4/5/12 a return label with a statement that the correct wheel was ordered. On 4/6/12 I disputed the transaction with a response I would receive a credit once they received the incorrect wheel. They received the wheel on 4/11/12, finally on 4/19/12 the dispute was settled in my favor and credit was issued. This was such an obvious error it should have been solved in a few days. The lengthy time, the multiple excuses, only follow through with "no risk" on their side is no way to due business especially with such an obvious error on their side of the transaction."

I purchased an ice pan from this seller, after completing transaction, i received an email 3-4 days later that states" we apologize but the price displayed was wrong so we have to charge you an additional $45.00" after receiving the item I received and email again stating that " we need to charge you an additional $9.00 for shipping" DO NOT BUY ANYTHING LOOKING AT THEIR PRICES CAUSE THEY ARE PRICED TO FOOL YOU. "BUYER BEWARE: Below is actual contact with Wares Direct immediately following the receipt of our severely damaged pan. Company claimed to have refunded our money on 11/23, then again on 12/7 and now they claim it was on 12/14 but guess what...We are still waiting for our refund!

12/14/2011 Per our telephone conversations, emails and the order notes conversations and our personal records: We ordered the pan on 11/11/11. Our card was charged on 11/14/11. The highly damaged pan was received on 11/17/11 and we immediately called you about the damaged item to find out the procedure for return. I tried multiple times to email the photos of the damage to you and after failed attempts (your side) I was contacted by Jean. Again, several failed attempts (all your side) were made to email the photos. I know the photo emailing attempts failed on your side as I am a photographer and do this frequently and Jean explained that certain depts within your company have something that blocks photos from coming through but it had not been a problem for her before. I even reduced the size of the photos prior to emailing. Finally, we are notified on 11/23/11 that it had been decided to have us destroy the pan and the money would be credited to our cc on file and it would take up to 7 business days for this to happen. On 12/2/11, the 7th day, still nothing. We then waited. We inquired again and you then told us you refunded it on 12/7/11 and it may take several days to show. Here it is 12/14/11 and still nothing. If this is not resolved within 24 hours, we will be contacting your local Better Business Bureau, the Consumer's Protection Agency and if necessary, the NJ State Attorney General's Office. 11/18/2011 First I'd like to say, you need to let people know that they need to first go to your website and then into Order Management to see your so called "emails". These are NOT emails that were sent to my email address but rather notes you added to my ordering information. As for the damaged pan. I have taken several photos as there are four damaged/dent areas on the pan along with reinforced strapping is pulled away due to some pan denting or buckling. I'm not sure how I am to send or attach these photos since I see no directions or place to add attachments therefore I am unable to copy and paste them. I will send a separate email with the photos.
