"I would give 0 stars if possible.
When I was moving between states I called Verizon to cancel my wireless internet and they sent me a pre-labeled box to return the equipment in which I did. A month later I found that they hadn't canceled my account and were still charging me. I had to call again to re-cancel. However, every time they send a cancel request they had to send out equipment boxes. Of course I didn't put the equipment in the second box. I had put it in the first. Several months later I was told that they were charging me $275 for the equipment. They apparently had NO way of tracking whether they had received it and no matter how many times I called I spent half of the time being transferred to different departments. They have the worst customer service. And their 'investigative teams' do as little work as possible, quit without telling you, and still charge you an arm and a leg for equipment you already returned. I have been dealing with their harassing letters and phone calls for 6 months now.

BEWARE of VERIZON Wireless Store PERSONNEL !!!!!

"To make a long story short... I am a current VICTIM of Verizon. I have learned that they screwed me coming and going. I was bold faced LIED to by their store employee about my purchases and come to find out I have no insurance on the very expensive phone and tablet, but they DID put insurance on the $50 flip phone I got for my grandaughter. AND I CANNOT put Insurance on the $600 phone OR the Tablet bcuz its past 15 days since I bought them, and it isnt "OPEN ENROLLMENT" time right now! WOW they have really figured out how to cover all their bases and JACK YOU! The Verizon guy had me go buy a $50 flip phone from target and turn it in to Verizon to get my Turbo phone for free SUPPOSEDLY. And the reason he had me do this was bcuz I had just recently left my droid on top of my car and it fell and cracked screen and they told me I had NO insurance on it. Though I always have had insurance on my phones, and thought I did on this one. So he comes up with this scheme to remedy my problem AND then tells me I now have $500 xtra to spend. So I ignorantly believed him and went with his suggestions and got a Tablet and a blue tooth speaker (both of which I did not need) NOW I have a $160 a month bill and come to realize I'm paying out the nose for the Turbo Droid ($600) and DO NOT have INSURANCE on both the Tablet OR the Droid, and THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT!!! VERIZON Dont you make enough money already to where you shouldnt have to SCREW the public like that???? ITS DISGUSTING! DONT GO VERIZON PEOPLE....BEWARE!!!!!!"

best cellular service with the worst customer service

"Every time I have gotten a new job it has been suggest to me to buy from Verizon and some companies have even paid a portion of my bill if I had a Verizon cell phone. All of my trouble with Verizon began with my first smart phone. The sales staff were very knowledgeable and tech-savvy as they played with their own phones every chance they had while selling me mine. They were so vague on what the charges on the phone would be that I was surprised to see almost double the amount on my bill. I chalked it up to inexperience and learned a life lesson that cell phone sales are the new used care sales people but worse because they sell new products. I updated my service with adding my wife's phone and got my military service discount I never knew about before, and received another surprise. More money on my bill than I was told and expected, but I had figured close to the amount from previous service. I had to have my account put on hold while I was overseas but I continued to use my phone. My wife's phone contract ended but mine extended into the summer months of 2016. I accidentally broke my phone when i got back and paid the insurance fee to receive a new phone. I somehow broke the second phone and canceled my service in March of 2016 because of the expense and I was changing jobs. I was told I could take care of the cancellation at any Verizon store by an online representative. When I went to the store I was surprised to know that I had to call Verizon in order to cancel my phone. I was not able to pay my bill including cancellation fee I agreed to at this time. I am instead being charged for the remaining month plus the cancellation fee at the end of the billing cycle. That is stupid, but fine, it's in the contract. I checked the account on the 11th after my auto pay comes out and it is a regular bill. I contacted Verizon and am being charged for the following. Pay close attention. I canceled the account on the 3/14 2016 which is past the 3/15 - 3/16 date for the billing cycle because now I asked for cancellation on 3/19. Therefore I must pay the 5/10 bill plus the early contract termination fee. Worse than a used car sales person. Verizon. You are pathetic. "

"This company give zero sh!ts about you as a customer. I was grandfathered into an unlimited dataplan on my contract. They simply decided to move the price on this up so high it was no longer economically feasible.

They customer support would lie to you over the phone and tell you things that are not true.

Scam Company

"I have been with Verizon for 3 weeks now, switched from T-Mobile. since the switch I was denied the promotional offer for the g2 smart watch that should have came with the galaxy S7, even after I called and was told they were backordered, to request one at a later date... this company lies on their data usage numbers or forces data to be used when the phones mobile data option is off. I mostly use my phones for the hotspot options, wile with tmobile I would be using the hotspot all day playing games such as runescape and league of legends ending the month with a usage of 7-8 Gb. so far I have used my Verizon service for 3 days on this new months cycle, have cut out all other services. i.e. music streaming, video, facebook, anything that connects to the internet so that the only application using my hotspot is runescape, in 3 days I have somehow managed to use 3.6 Gb of data and the internet has been so laggy that I have a ping sooting up into the thousands. this company lies about their numbers and wont even own up to their own promotions. if you are looking for a company I highly recommend not using Verizon and will be reporting them to the better business bureau."

"My father has a verizon account. He had been paying by check for years. All of a sudden they insisted his account was an "All Cash" account and kept sending his checks back. After calling 6-7 times, I tied and called 4-5 times. The last time I called I thought I finally got somewhere as the employee said she removed the all cash status and took his credit card for automatic payment. She also said she would wait at lease 3 weeks to receive the two checks that would bring the account to paid. The very next week one of his checks was returned. These people are the most inept I have ever encountered and I hope none of you that may be reading this ever have to do this for your parents. "

"My boss asked me to call Verizon to get information. My question: What kind of discounts do you offer to those who sign up for a business plan?

I called a customer service number and the woman transferred me to the business number. I then sat on the phone for 30 minutes listening to an automated voice offering me deals that included sweepstakes, tmobile services, and trips to disney world. Once the automated machine was done offering me crap, it told me that the number I was calling had changed, and gave me that number. I called, no answer and no hold.

I then called another customer service number on the website. A woman from sales named Holly picked up. I asked her for the information about the business plan and told me she was in sales so she wasn't sure. I was then put on hold for 20 minutes. Taking me off hold, she said none of the extensions she was calling had this information and then asked me why I couldn't just Google it. She then placed me on hold, took me off hold without knowing, and proceeded to tell her coworkers how annoying her job was (while cussing like a sailor). I was finally hung up on...so I gave up.

New "free" phone

"When I was at the Apple store purchasing a new iPhone 6s, I was told that Verizon can send me a new iPhone 5s for free. I came home and gave them a call, and they said yes, we can send it to you for free and you would only need to pay $20 per month to add it to your plan for usage. I was very excited and two days later, it came in the mail. We hooked up my son-in-law to my plan. The phone works great.

My only concern is the following. I was making several changes to my account and in the end, wanted to know how much am I paying per line. The Verizon customer service told me that this "free" phone that I received is actually under a 2-year contract, and I actually need to pay $40/month for the usage! When I tried to tell them I was misinformed, and take this phone back, they said they can't take it back because it's been over 2 weeks since it was mailed out to me.

For the $20 difference per month, for 2 years, I could've just gotten myself a phone out of contract, and would have saved money! Think about it - $20 x 24 mt solve the problem! They told me the early termination fee would be $375. Ridiculous!

Fraud at mobile guru 2 verizon wireless retailer,102 Fulton st, ny,ny 10038

"Outright fraud. We have filed a complaint w attorney general & Verizon against mobile guru2 Verizon retailer,102 Fulton st, nyc. I brought back a defective phone ( i did not break it.). I was entitled to a replacement but was charged over $200.They offered me a " free ipad", free hot spot for being a loyal customer" I was told repeatedly it a promotion & free. The free turned out to be,$26 a month for the ipad, $10 month for line access,$10 a month for hotspot, another 10 for line access,plus taxes ,fees & a $3 per device warranty i told them i did not want,for 2 yrs. They took it upon themselves to upgrade my plan after i told them not to,an additional 4 gigs " for the inconvenience" at an additonal cost of $10 per month for 2 yrs.They assured me my bill would remain the same when i realized i had been mislead and was being being charged for " free" but it is now $80 more a month for " free" devices,services,warranties and lines i did not ask for,want or need.When i asked for an itemized receipt,they refused to give me one.( would only give me a non itemized receipt) . Who sells you devices &services then refuses to itemize a receipt? A scammer,thats who..When i complained about their deceptive sales practices each employee blamed another and the store owner told me" nothing is free".I said, " true, so don't tell customers it is".when i tried to remedy this deception the owner told me i had a contract. I do not.i am NOW obligated to pay for devices but have no line contract. The horror goes on here but suffice to say i have filed a complaint w proper authorities. I have called Verizon and they have contacted this retailer to remedy but told me retailers are not Verizon direct stores so they can only request and yes indeed i have been snookered by mobile guru2"

"I wouldn't even give a star!! They are the most misinformed, deceiving people I have ever dealt with. Before I switched from AT&T ( which was a HUGE mistake) I was told that I would get a gift card for switching and turning in my phone. They did not tell me that there were several promotions going on at that time. Verizon is not the best network out there, because I had no service around my area, so after only being with them for a month I made sure I wouldn't be penalized first and they said I wouldn't. So I did everything I was supposed to. I then received a Verizon e gift card in my email, after mind you that I was told it would be a regular gift card. I called yet again and was told to use it to pay my bill and the remaining would be refunded to me. This all started in August and it is now January, I never received the refund after being told NUMEROUS times that I would. After a phone call today they told me that I would not receive it because nothing was paid out of pocket( which I was not told at the beginning). So needless to say I am happily back with ATT which is to me the best carrier. I WILL NEVER go back to, nor will I encourage anyone to go to Verizon. "

"When I switched to a new phone I could not keep my unlimited data and had to switch to another plan. On my old plan I was receiving company discounts, but on this new plan of $100 month including a $27/month equipment charge, I am no longer receiving company discounts, as my base plan is less than $35. Watchout as they are sneeky like this. I am surprised whenever I change anything.

Also I received a quote via chat online and when I went into the store they said it was incorrect. They have the network but nothing else.

"I am a 20 year customer of Verizon Wireless. And they still screwed me. Sales rep lied by indicating he was throwing in 2 free cell phones. He then rushed me through the paper work so I wouldn't have a chance to read it. Turns out I was stuck for paying for two tablets I didn't even need. I returned one of the tablets and got screwed for $35 return fee even though box wan't even opened."

"Verizon Store in Cullman, Alabama; ***-***-**** 0 Olive Street.

I paid them a visit this morning. Female opened the Door for me and asked me for my phone number which I gave to her.

She Asked me for a photo ID which I didn't have - Forgot it at home. All the Sales personal (About 6 of them) Standing out in front of the service counter doing absolutely nothing - I was the only customer in the store.

She wouldn't let them talk with me. I've been to other Verizon Stores in Alabama this week and none asked me for a photo ID after asking for a pin number.

She apologized to me and I told her not to worry that I would let someone in another store make the commission.

Just finished purchasing two High -End phones and updated my plan LOL And someone else is getting the commission!!

Cullman Verizon is by far the worst Verizon Store I have been in - in all the years I have been with them and I've been with them since they started. Certainly no way to run a business. They didn't even know what I wanted. I might have been coming in to pay the bill. LOL.
