As a 17 years customer, what I got from Verizon is disappointing...

"It is my experience on 12/26/16 in Verizon Wireless Store at 2141 86th Street, Brooklyn, NY.    I am a 17 years customer with Verizon Wireless.   I'll join my husband family plan in another carrier so I'll close my Verizon account.   On 12/26, the new carrier need my Verizon account and pin #.    I didn't have the info on hand so I just walked to the Verizon store (on the same block).    I asked a customer representative who is about 30 years old white man with eyeglasses.   When he knew I close my account, his face turned very ugly & nasty immediately.   I told him I've been with Verizon for 17 years and my reason to close account.    He's so rude and yelled, "WHY don't you bring your husband here?....... That is ridiculous to change to T-Mxxxxx.........."    He threw my ID back roughly on the table and yelled again, "Your husband has to see me!"     He gave me a really hard time and didn't offer any help!    I left the store right away and I got my info by calling 611.
  
What a shame!  After as a 17-years customer with Verizon Wireless, the last thing Verizon left me are rudeness, disrespectful and insulting.

Worst customer service!!

"Worst customer service i have ever dealt with. They do not care how long you've been a customer, they will not help you.Had a phone with Verizon for 15 years, then got internet. When my family ran my bill up, I made arrangements to pay the bill while the internet was off. I didn't like how they treated me during this time, so i wrote them to tell them i will be reconsidering my options and continued service. Instead of reaching out to me and making an offer to keep my service, they just reconnected me and started charging...no contact. I wrote them 2 more letters telling them to shut down the service now, and i did not authorize any of this. They charged me for half a month past and a month in advance. Then when they shut off the service, they didn't adjust any of it, even after it was shut off. In fact, they sent me another bill for another month in advance...again after the service was shut off. Finally when i'm forced to endure another phone call to customer service, which has been a horrible experience...i call 5 different numbers before reaching someone, explained my situation to 2 people, one being Jennifer, a manager. After telling her of my situation, she proceeded to argue with me. Apparently, even though I made it VERY CLEAR in my letter to stop my service, it was not good enough and I don't deserve any break. That I needed to call them and tell them to stop my service, rather than write them. She considers those true charges and will not adjust any of it. I switched carriers right away and cancelled my phone contract with Verizon. If Verizon doesn't care about a 15 year customer, don't think they care about any of their customers. They would rather stand by their technicalities and strong arm their customers into paying what they want, than to consider the value of a long term customer and what they have to gain by taking care of this customer.They lost my internet account, which could have been saved if handled differently, and they lost my phone account. They would have made more money by keeping me a client, because i probably would have stayed another 15 years. Best thing is, I am paying less for more with this new carrier, and i get better reception at my house. Thanks Verizon!!"

A 17 year customer pays more!

"It is probably in your best interest not to stay with Verizon for the long haul. I've been with them for over 17 years and called in to take advantage of a recent special they advertised on the website. 4 lines/$160 per month 20GB data. I was informed that was for upgrades only. It does not say anything about upgrading on the site. I own all the phones and just want the special. It is obvious Verizon does not value their customer base. If I ran my business in the fashion I would be unemployed."

Disappointed Verizon

"I thought that coming back to Verizon would be great because I had very excellent experience with them before. This time around I felt used. I went into this store and one of the managers who helped me get started told me that Verizon would pay off my sprint account. He told me that when I turn my phone in I was able to get accessories or I can put the value of my phone on my bill so it sounded good and I did it. After I got my last Sprint bill I went back to this store So they can send my paperwork out for the switch program. Again I was informed this second time around that Verizon was going to pay off my sprint bill.

Well long story short I received an email from Verizon of how much I will be getting back to pay off my sprint account and it was waaaaay less than what was expected. When I called Verizon I asked them the reason and they told me that when I traded in my phone "per terms and agreements" the accessories and putting some on my bill subtracted what Verizon would give me to pay off my Sprint account.

No time that I was in the store when I first went back to Verizon or when I sent in my information to do the switch promotion was I told that anything would be subtracted from me turning in my phone from Verizon not paying my whole sprint account. I am now in collections with sprint and this is just very unfair. I spoke back with the store and they told me they can only offer me 100 credit off my bill. Come on 100 from 1100 I have to pay to sprint. I would have never got accessories or put anything on my bill if I would have known that something would have been SUBTRACTED. If I was aware of this I would have longed payed my sprint account myself.
If I wasn't on a contract with Verizon now I would have left. This is bad customers service for new customers.

Wow.... So many bad reviews.... from Friggin Morons!!!

"I'll give VZW a whopping 4-Star Rating. Let's break it down:

-I ordered online, and got my stuff within 2-3 business days... cool!

-By ordering online I avoided talking to any sales reps, and so I wasn't scammed!

-The new phones are in perfect condition and work great.... supper skittles batman!

-The price was a bit high for a device payment but my mind was eased by the two free Fit 2 watches I'll be receiving... Totally cool promo Samsung. This is where VZW loses a star. They won't honor promos in their stores like a Best Buy would, or even a Walmart. They make you fill out a form and wait the 4-6 weeks to get your free stuff. I would have liked to have gotten the watches earlier, but I really don't want to step inside of a big box retailer. Anyways... yay! Free Stuff!

MY BILL FOR 2 MONTHS $994.64 !!!!!

"I am not one to do reviews often or slander a company. I am not the type to blame businesses for my mistakes even when it costs me big, but I have never in my life been screwed so hard by a big company for an obvious mistake on their part and watch in amazement as they wash their hands clean of any responsibility, Verizon sickens me to the point I have lost sleep over it.
Here's the story;
I have been a verizon customer for over 10 years and never had too many problems. I am not the type to worry about a bill so I rarely checked anything. However, one month in December my bill showed up as $539.76. I called and asked what the heck happened. I had moved to Canada a year earlier and switched to the North America plan and the month previous I upgraded my phone and I guess when I upgraded my phone my plan was automatically switched back to a standard US plan so I was paying roaming charges as I living in Canada so I figured, hey this is your fault for changing my plan so refund my my over $500 in roaming charges. They Verizon rep said "sure, of course our mistake" and said the refund would go through shortly and he switched my plan back to North American plan. A few weeks later I got checked my next month bill and it was $454.88 and never got refunded for the previous months mistake. I called in again and asked what happened to my refund and for them to refund the next month bill. I was told the rep's request from last month was not authorized when it went up the line. I asked why and they said I was the one that changed my plan and I am responsible for my roaming charges. I tried to reason with the rep for about 45 minutes going further and further up the line, why would I ever change my plan to a US only plan when I live in Canada? I asked them but they refused to refund me the overage charges. They insisted it was my fault and they would not refund the nearly $1000 in 2 months billing. I was sick and disgusted. No amount of reasoning or logic would convince them after talking to 8-10 reps for hours over the course of a week. I later found out from a former Verizon worker that the reps bonuses are based on giving no refunds or credits. In other words, the less they give back in refunds, the more they get in bonuses. Pretty screwed up. Anyways after giving up, I made it my life's goal to get everyone I know to leave verizon. I am proud to say I got my entire family of 14 siblings, inlaws and parents who were with Verizon to leave them as well as a few friends. Hopefully I get a few more to consider staying away from Verizon. They are the epitome of an evil empire that hopefully fails after screwing over so many people. After reading so many other reviews I see a real pattern of refusing to refund customers when it is their mistake. Take a chance with them if you must but I would rather go back to using payphones and landlines before I would ever use Verizon again. Burn in hell Verizon.

Worst choice ever!!

"This is the worst choice a consumer can make! I want to give it no stars, but that is not an option. You have to get their router at a cost of $250.00. Next, we were over data in one day, one day!! Increased data to the highest available. I checked a week later to see how much data we were had left. We were over to the tune of $900.00 in just one week!! We did not receive a phone call or email notifying us of our overage. Needless to say, we canceled our internet and asked to return the $250.00 router. They would not take the router back bit instead wanted to keep the charge.. WORST CHOICE EVER! "

Unauthirized charges over and over! Seriously is this for real?

"For the last 6 months I tried resolve a phone bill issue with verizonwireless. I tried to suspend the phone for three months because my husband and I are going out if the country for business. Verizon said that there would not be charges to my account during these 3 month suspension period plus we won't be using our phone at all. I confirmed it by visiting verizonwireless.com and saw that both of our line were suspended for 3 months. I felt reassured that this was taken care of until I checked my bill after first month of going away and they were still charging me the full amount. They apologized and said that it was their mistake, but refused to refund the money despite us not using the phone at all. They said that they fixed the problem and confirmed with us that there would be no charges during the suspension period again. Sadly they charged me the full amount again on the second month. I was frustrated as they did reassure me (again) that the problem was fixed. They said that the agent who helped me previously only suspend my line but not my husband's line. Zero refund as usual. How did that happen? We have a joint account and when I called many times I was very clear on what i wanted. Since they were going to charge me anyway, I decided to cancel my phone from Verizon to reduce the charges each month, but keep my husband's number since he needs to use it for the business when we get back to the US. I logged in to my Verizonwireless.com and saw that my phone was canceled, but not my husband's phone. Huge comfort but not long as I discovered that the phone I asked them to cancel not being cancelled and the full monthly charge was still on our account.

We have been on a month-to-month plan with Verizon for about a year. We should have not trust Verizon with this. How can we get out of this mess? We won't be able to take care of this problem physically until we will get back to the states in 5 more months:( My thought on this experience with Verizon, they remind me of DMV. They actually makes DMV a much more pleasant place to deal with. You might have one bad experience with DMV, but as a Verizon customer you will definitely have monthly awful experiences to deal with for eternity.

Verizon Wireless - Worst Company

"I went into the Columbia, SC Verizon store on Columbiana Dr. So far, in about two months, i have found out three things that were told to us and they were untrue. I do not know how they are training their employees, but do not lie to a customer just to get them to switch to Verizon and then the customer service department not follow through and honor what they say. My Problems so far in two months.

They told me that they had both me and my husband listed on the account, which was a lie which i found out when i called customer service about another issue.

We also told the customer service rep that we were going to be moving to Texas in a week or so and that we would need Texas area codes because of my husbands job. She said that would be no problem if we purchase the phones with her, she said if we were to buy the phone there in SC that we could go just go online when we got home that night and change the number for free. We went home that night and you can not change the number for another 30 days. The only way to change it was to go back to the store and pay a fee for them to change it. So we had to go back to the store and had to pay them to change it. They did not even try to make things right and stick to what they said.

And another lie...I was with ATT and the Iphone 6 i had was compatible to switch it to Verizon. The lady associate told me that i shouldnt do that because it nevers works and just to trade in. They said if I were to switch to verizon and trade in my phone that we would get a electronic gift card to use towards our first bill and $100 Visa card in the mail. I asked the sales associate several times that I would get $100 visa gift card in the mail to put towards ATT phone payoff and she assured me yes so I did the switch. I was like awesome. But of course that was another lie. I received a gift card for $31 not $100!!!!! I called Verizon Customer Service and spoke to 5 different people which after being on hold for forever, two of them hung up. I was on the phone for almost 2 hours. I told each rep I talked to that the sales associate I talked to told me i would get a $200 Trade in credit and a $100 visa gift card to pay of ATT phone. I finally got some on the phone that did not transfer me to someone or hang up the line. She said she was sorry but there is nothing that she could do. I asked her if i could speak with a manager and she told me no because they won't do anything either. She said I could go into the store and speak with the lady that helped me. I told her I moved from SC to TX. She said that was unfortunate and again said sorry and there is nothing she can do.

VERIZON IS THE WORST CELL PHONE COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. They do not take care of their customers. ATT IS WAY BETTER. Their customer service knocks it out of the park everytime.

I would advise to not go with VERIZON. They do not care about their customers at all. They only care about getting the sale.

The only thing at this point I can do is shake my head

"I ordered service online because normally its fast and easy. The website crashed on me in the middle of taking my payment..... Then I talked to a guy on the phone and had to redo my ENTIRE order which I was already 2 hours into trying to get service established. Finally got it done and we play the waiting game for the phones to arrive.

So the phones arrived and there was supposed to be an iPhone 6s plus.... well they sent a 6s with paperwork stating that it was a 6s Plus. I called customer services spent 45 minutes on the phone trying to figure out what to do. She says go into a corporate store and they can help you. So that night I trotted my happy self into the store only to sit there for 2 hours for them to say I am sorry there is nothing we can do. After expression my frustration he said hang on let me see if I can help.... they said well call customer service cancel your order and we can start service here. I was a little hesitant because I didn't want to double pay. So I spent an hour on the phone with customer service while I am at the store. Got my ordered canceled (so I thought) and they were going to have to wait 24 hours to port our numbers. TOTAL BS!!!!! They won't do anything until they get the original phones back.... which I might add they couldn't fax or e mail me a shipping label they had to put it in the mail. So Now I am stuck with a phone that I don't need...a working verizon phone that has a temporary phone number and my sprint phone because I cant afford to miss business calls. I am so angry. DO NOT USE THEIR ONLINE SERVICE!!! I have spent almost 6 hours and still no resolution.

Fraud all the way around!!!

"Started new service February 2016. In May 2016 Verizon allowed someone to activate a IPhone 6 to my account sales people didn't ask the lady for identification or anything. After police were involved and everything they tell me it was a clerical error. Seriously?? After all parties watched your store video of a lady activating this phone. I went to a new carrier end of May 2016 and when I left Verizon my bill was roughly 200 bucks. As of speaking to them yesterday my bill is 778 bucks. Come to find out. They are charging me 200 bucks for a tablet that they told me was free for getting service with them back in February 2016, All that comes out of the mouths of these people are all lies!! I will never get service from Verizon again!! Scam artists is what they are!! I don't have service with them anymore as of May 20 2016 and they are still charging me monthly... "

Thieves and Liars! Verizon stole from me!

"It is well known that Verizon's prices and fees are downright obscene and that the routinely overbill their customers. I didn't realize how dirty they were until I realized they were charging me $650 dollars for financing a phone that I didn't even buy from them! My other complaints are numerous but there are 2 main ones. Whenever I try to use the website to make changes to my plan or my family base settings I get and error message saying "we are experiencing problems right now. Please try again later" and Its takes far too long to get an agent on the phone. I feel that for the amount of money I pay them monthly I should be able to get a live person in 30 seconds or less. Verizon is run by rich greedy people who don't care about their customers and Im leaving."

Network extender SCAM!!!

"Can't get a signal at home. No Problem says Verizon. We can fix it. Just pay us $250 and we'll send you a black box with a piece of crap in it. Oh it doesn't work? No problem. We'll waste your time for weeks with worthless fixes and then tell you that you can't get your money back! But they'er so nice when they tell you to sell it yourself to some other sucker!!! "

Verizon has worst customer and tech service, and they are doing malpractice when it comes to billing

"I bought a jetpack from them, the device and customer service and service was unbelievably awful.
They charged me for two months after I gave up on device and canceled the service.
They charged me for the service they did not provide for two months, on top of many overcharge during device active time which I even couldn't use the service.
They said they set up wrong my device but still I have to pay for cancellation.
They wasted many many hours of my time, damaged my business, and send for collection.

They are worst company with many slow, careless technicians and tech support. Their managers are worst than customer service people.

They lie about things and you will find out after you signed the contract. Then they don't cable it even they say it has problem.
They charge you again for getting rid off the service never provided and you paid for it.

They are terribly fraud company. Do not trust them. Do not sign contract for two years at all!
