"I received my order of three items in a timely manner. However,one item is NOT what I ordered, instead I was sent something entirely different. I immediately contacted the company via their website since NO phone number is listed. I did not hear back from them so I sent another eamil 17 TIMES to get their attention. I sent a copy of the order, showing what I ordered and listed what I received. Finally on Nov, this was their response - "Your order has already been shipped out via USPS and according to them it was delivered on October 16th. Your tracking number is 9101805213907737947780. If you did not receive your package you need to contact your local post office and file a claim with them ." My response to them was - "You do not get it! I received the WRONG part from you in the order you are refering to. I keep emailing the info to you ... ever since the order was delivered... but this is the first time you have responded. I want the right part!" - Again, their response on Nov 23, was
"To make a return simply ship to the address on your packing slip. Please include a copy of your packing slip and this email as your return authorization. Upon arrival of your item your account will be refunded. There will be a 20% restocking fee.

*No refunds will be granted on returns after 30 days, on opened items (bags, belts, etc.) used items, broken items or on electrical items (motors, circuits, switchboards, etc) ..."
Sooo,
now they tell me NO RETURNS after 30 days, how convenient that they did not contact me until AFTER 30 days, but they also say that I will have to pay a 20% restocking fee along with postage to return the part I didn't order! You've got to be kidding me! The website clearly states the following -

"if the return is made because of an error we made we will immediately exchange it or we will give you 100% refund if requested.

For these returns you MUST obtain RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER.

Well, from their emails to me, they don't get it, or they don't care, or they do NOT honor what is stated on their website about THEIR error of sending the wrong part. All I want is the right part..the one I paid for. Why would I pay postage to return the wrong part I received and pay 20% restocking fee on top of that? It was only a $6.99 part but it's the principle!!! I want what I paid for, not a part I can't use!
My final response to them was:

"So you are finally contacting me to tell me that I have to PAY to return an item you sent me that was wrong and

you will also charge me a 20% restocking fee for YOUR error?? And since I have tried to contact you for 2 months and finally get a response, it is now too late to return it? So that is how you do business.

I will contact my credit card company with these details.... and maybe my attorney too.

All I want is the CORRECT item I ordered! What happened to customer service? YOU sent the
WRONG part... it is nothing I did! With all of the negative feedback you have, perhaps I can get some of these folks to file a class action suit for fraud. THAT will be my next step! Have a nice day."

For those who do not know - they have two other websites - vacuumpartstore.com and Kirby Parts Store at www.Vacuums24x7-ki.com/Kirby-Parts and they also go by Potomac Vacuums and Appliances.

Be wary when ordering from this company of many names!

"Dont buy from these guys. They haven't shipped my order yet after 15 days and wont respond to e-mails. No phone number to call for customer service. All i got is an email saying that they are out of stock on one part. They just list all possible parts for vaccums but dont have most in Stock...There must be lot of stores on web which have a phone number and customer service which sell these same parts..I made the mistake of not checking this earlier..You have been warned !!"

"The company contacted me via e-mail stating that the part was back ordered and wasn't expected for over a week. I tried to contact them via their only option (online form) and selected their 'cancel order' option. I received no response. I filled out another form requesting to 'place an order by phone'. No response. I think sent a third message and got no response.

I received the package finally almost three weeks after ordering and 2 weeks after I had gotten the part from a different vendor.

Absolutely horrible customer service!

They didn't use my Paypal address to ship. Instead, they used only the first three numbers of my street address, without the street name, which resulted in a Return To Sender.

They only refunded my paypal account $8 of the $14.98 payment. They refused to refund the rest of the money, even though they did not use my correct Paypal address.

They aren't returning my email. Customer support is non-existent when there is a problem. Son't believe the Testimonials on their website.

They basically stole $6.98 from me.

"Well, I am submitting my complaint and wish I'd scoped out this company thoroughly before ordering. It appears that my order of Sept 13, 2009 is following the company moto: "dummy send money?... We are laughing all the way to the bank!" I have received no merchandise, no updated status concerning my order and they, of course, have all my money. Lesson learned."

"Most likely you've been to '24X7' website. Do you remember those 2 guys in a semi-hug? Each with a smile that could light up the Eastern coast line! Do you know why they are so happy? There could only be 3 possible reasons: 1) They won the Reader's Digest Sweepstakes; 2) They found out that the proctoscopic exam their primary care physician wanted was cancelled; 3) Someone placed an order for some parts from them. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I'm thinkin' that answer #3 is why they are smiling so much. Suffice it to say that I am but another notch on their combined belts of who they've screwed recently. I could get into dates and e-mails, but really--what's the point, though I do have it all should I need to back up what I'm saying? I couldn't begin to stress to any potential customer's that vacuums 24 X 7 is a great little site if you're looking to get scammed or ripped off or financially raped. These two guys are not stupid by any means. The customer has to pay in full before they will ship---that says it all. Those two guys aren't the idiots---I an several other folks are the idiots for not seeing that as a red flag---a huge red flag---and stopping right there with what might have been ordered. So I'll just chime in at the top of my screaming ability and do my best to emphasize to you---DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY--PERIOD END OF STORY!!! PS I lost just shy of $75 --- no wonder those guys are smiling so big!!!!"

"Like all the previous posts. I placed an order on July 9th, they charged my cc immediately, didn't ship product until July 17th. Received package July 27th and guess what!!!! Out of the four items I ordered, the most expensive item (the motor) was missing. There is a list of items shipped in the box with a check mark next to the motor item - but NO MOTOR. I have sent two emails and have not gotten a response. Guess I will have to do like everyone else and call the Better Business Bureau!!! PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE....wish i had seen these posts before I had ordered."

"I placed an order 6/22/09 and got immediate email confirmation, and my credit card was charged that day. I emailed them the week of July 16, 2009 because I had not received the order and they never responded. They do not have a phone number. I finally received all but one of the items ordered on 8/3/09. The packing slip states that the last item is on backorder."

"Congratulations - customer! If you are reading this page, there is a 95% chance you have already been $$$raped 24x7 by these crooks. For the other 5% - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! I made the mistake of not checking them out because I just needed a belt and a filter. It is not like I was buying a plasma TV - how can they screw that up? I received the correct belt and the wrong filter. Ok, no problem, I'll just call them up and get the correct filter. I called many times during business hours - no answer - just a msg to send an email to a gmail account, not a vacuums24x7.com account. No reply to my emails. I then filed a complaint with paypal. No reply from 24x7. I raised it to a dispute. Paypal rejected claim since they will only take action if 24x7 did not ship anything. I then filed a claim with my credit card. They credited my account and suggested to ship back the wrong filter at my expense - which I did. I finally got an email from them after they got the filter back and got notice from the CC bank. I emailed them back not to contact me again - our business connection is severed. They then sent me a filter anyway so they could collect the money, I assume. Another trip to the Post Office to send it back at my expense. All this occurred over 3 months. I hope I am done with these clowns. Absolutely the worst experience I have had with an online company. Their business methods borderline on fraud, JMHO.

If you still want to do business with them, call their # and see what kind of a response you get. Send them an email and ask them a stupid question and wait for a response.

I contacted Hoover vacuum corporate headquarters and gave them my complaint details about 24x7 since they sell Hoover parts. They blew me off with this reply:

"Buyer Beware! This company is selling generic parts as authentic Kirby parts, and they do not accept returns! The vacuum mophead accessory is useless. The angle necessary to hold the attachment in order for it to be flat on your floor will send you to the chiropractor. I should have done more research and found a company that will stand behind its products!"
