"Urban Dealight - scammy and terrible customer service. My friends and I decided to do the "Refer-a-Friend" program in which you receive the deal for free if you purchase a deal and get 3 friends to sign up for an account and purchase the same deal through your referral link. We got 3 friends to sign up for an account with Urban Dealight and purchase a Departures deal through our referral link, spending a total of $2,000 between the 4 of us, expecting to get one of the deals for free. They didn't end up giving us the deal for free, claiming that one of the purchasers didn't use the referral link. When in fact the only reason why our friends knew of the deal was because we had e-mailed them the referral link and information on the deal. Urban Dealight wouldn't even tell us which one "didn't go through" and didn't give us any more proof or explanation. All they kept saying was "sorry, but there's nothing we can do." After many phone calls and frustration to no avail, we decided to just give up on arguing with them and attempting to get our free deal. THEN we called to make a reservation for our deal and the guy tells me there is a $140 processing fee for each of the deals!!! When I asked what the fee was for, they said it was a "processing fee." Nowhere in the terms and conditions of the deal did it mention there was going to be an additional $140 processing fee!!! It was pretty ridiculous, but we had already booked our flights and made plans, and at that point I was just so tired of arguing and dealing with these darn people. I will NEVER buy from Urban Dealight again, and I would advise others the same!"
"I agree, very very very bad customer service. They sold a certificate for massage and the company put me on a machine. They had a picture of someone massaging. When I called urban dealight to complain they just told me that they can't help us.lost my money."
"Worst experience. The painter was dishonest and did a very poor job. He did not complete the work in time, so we had to hire someone else to completely redo his work and repaint/refinish everything. We spent twice as much as anticipated because his poor work skills and work ethic. DO NOT hire Cascade Construction. You will be VERY sorry.
We contacted Urban Dealight to complain about the company and request some sort of refund and they refused, saying we "used" the deal. They obviously did not interview him and meet with him before they promoted him on their website. I will NEVER use or trust Urban Dealight again. "

"Back in June 2011 I bought a certificate for housecleaning from a local cleaning company. I went to use it and the company told me that they never signed up to give the discount to Urban Dealight and they did not even service my area. They were going to honor the $49 deal, but needed me to pay them cash and get my money back from UD. Well, UD would not give me my money back. They said it had been too long and would only give me Urban Bucks. I don't want Urban Bucks, I want my money back so I can have my house cleaned. I had just come off of major surgery and needed help cleaning. Now it is November and I still need help with house cleaning, have Urban Bucks that I have not seen a deal since that I would pay for, and feel cheated. The cleaning company is not at fault, because it was a case of fraud between the sales person and the company, but it sure does not help me now. Be very careful what deal you purchase from this company, as you will probably be disappointed."
"I purcahsed a house cleaning deal For Aspens Residential & Commerical Cleaning for $59 when you call Aspens it goes to voice mail you can't leave a message because the box if full. I emailed Urban Garratt said wait a few days & see if they call you back, doesn't he realize you can't leave a message if a mail box if full. I waited another week and emailed Urban tell them I wanted a refund they now say sorry it's too late we'll give you a credit. I DON'T want a credit I want my $ back. Guess I have to go to the credit card company now!"
"They offered a deal for a landscaping company in Houston that could not honor the deal. The landscaping company, refunded their part of the money and Urban Dealight has not, I have filed with the BBB to get my money back they owe me. DO NOT BUY FROM Urban Dealight."
"Urban Dealight is another Groupon clone. I guess it's newer because they weren't in my area (Dallas/Fort Worth) when I initially checked them out, but I redeemed my first voucher from them today and so far, so good. They seem to have a nice mix of different offerings and lately they seem to be leaning more toward restaurants and less toward spas/facials/etc, which seems to be most of what Groupon and Living Social have been offering lately.
