"Well here is my experience.

I ordered a Garmin Nuvi GPS on April 3rd. A few days later when I did not receive any shipping confirmation I waited on hold for 30 minutes and I was told that there was a problem with my credit card info. This turned out to be just a ruse to very, very aggressively try to sell me an extended warranty. After I declined this offer for the sixth time, I interrupted his sales pitch(lies about the Garmin warranty being no good) and told him to either cancel the order or ship it as ordered. He told me the unit would be shipped the next day. On April 6th my credit card was billed. Weeks went by with no tracking number. After much time and aggravation, literally hours of being on hold and getting hung up on and dealing with very rude people, after being told a few times that this order would arrive in a day or two or had been shipped when it was not, my order was finally shipped on the 18th and arrived on the 19th. They later emailed me on the 24th to tell me my order had been shipped. Gee, thanks for the heads up.

Bottom line:

This company has poor tracking, no customer service and are willing to lie at will. If you ever have a problem with the product when it arrives I cannot imagine getting any satisfaction or even a response from them. Stay away from this company. Whatever dollars you may save will be more than made up for lost time and aggravation.

"I placed an order for a brand new olympus. Needed it by Xmas. Trusted dealer sent me a camera with NO BOX, no manuals. I called them to ask what had happened. They apologised and stated that they had probably sent me a refurbished camera, that I should send it back and they would refund full amount plus shipping since it was their mistake. They refunded me the amount minus a 15% "restocking" fee and no shipping cost. I called again. They said they would refund. I have called sinec just about everyday. I am put on hold up to an hour at a time (thank God for speaker phones!)It is now April 13th and this still has not been resolved. The credit card company will not deal with "restocking" fees and the BBB never helped. Basicalled the Trusted Dealer made $50 cash on me! This is a fraudulent company. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! BUYERS BEWARE!"

"Trusted Dealer sold me a battery for my Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 that didn't fit my camera. Battery cost $119. I tried numerous times to contact customer service by telephone to get a return authorization number to return the part. I also sent an email. I was told that the manager had to handle the return. The manager never seemed to be in when I called. I informed the representative that I was traveling out of the country and needed to return the part ASAP. I was treated rudely, I was hung up on, and no one was able to give me the RA# that I needed to return the part. I sent the part back by UPS. The package was not accepted by Trusted Dealer, since it had no RA#. When I returned from my trip, the battery was here waiting for me. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will never shop with the again."

"BAD company. Stole $1149. from me. Ordered television 2/4/07, They called me the next day stating the warranty was'nt very good on the t.v and they could sell me additional warranty , I rejected. 2/15 received a busted television (small chunk missing from corner w/cracks around hole), a screw and sticker missing from the back. Sent it back to them for an exchange2/21/2007 .Called them last four fridays (i work away during week) they say each time, that it will be shipped on monday. Friday 3/16/2007 they told me," stop calling Monkey " "when we get a refund from FedEx you will get your refund." What's FedEx have to do with Me and Them? They cannot send me an exchange or refund because FedEx hasnt refunded them? It has been 23 days since I returned their junk and I have received NOTHING but insults from them. This company should be shut down. I'm reporting their abuse to the BBB and consulting with a lawyer about actions to take for a refund.I seen some good reviews before I ordered, thats the reason I took a chance; however, those reviews had to been made by relatives or friends because I do not see how anyone can be satisfied with this company. I wish you good luck on any orders you have already placed, you will need it."

"Purchased a new Olympus D580 digital camera with 1GB XD picture card. Wrong camera was sent. Camera malfunctioned within 6-month warranty period. Olympus advised me the camera I received and sent in for service was a refurbished camera and not under warranty and would cost more than I paid for it to have it repaired . After 6 or more call to Trusted Dealer they continue to deny the camera wasn't new. Have only agree to send me another camera. After 3-months I still haven't received a replacement camera. Service Manager, 'Anthony' is rude and has hung up on me rather than discuss the service and follow-up actions."

"See comments related to RedTagSavings.com, an affiliated company. Do not buy from them. It is a scam. They will contact you in an attempt to upsell you ... all based on fraudulent tactics. Their customer service is virtually nonexistent. If you get the procuct you ordered without any hassle, consider yourself extremely lucky."

"These people are scam artists. They will not take my calls are very rude when they do take a call and keep sending all my other calls to a non-existent customer service department. There policy says they will charge your credit card only a few hours before your order ships they charged my card on 7-27-2006 and as of today 8-7-2006 their own website says the order has not shipped and is still in processing.

They also tried to pull the same upsell scam as the other commentors on here.

I have called my credit card and put in a dispute for this charge I have also put in a complaint with the better business bureau this company under it's many different names (they charged my card under a totally different name) is a total scam.

"Stay away as others say:
1. Place order from their web site. Very easy.
2. Receiving email asking to call them.
3. The "international model" that I ordered was out of stock, although their web site kept advertising it, and they offered the "US model" with $100 dollar more price which is commonly seen as "buy now" price of this product on ebay.
4. Cancel the order and quick "good bye".

Thanks to this store and the other, I could learn a lot about internet shopping in US of A.

"Yesterday, I purchased a Garmin Nuvi 350 from "Trusted Dealer" at what PriceScan indicated to be the lowset price available. Big mistake. Today I received a call from my wife at work informing me that I had an "urgent call" from the company that I bought my Nuvi 350 from. Something about a problem with my credit card. I took this information at face value and called "Jim". Indeed I was told by Jim that there was a "problem" with my credit card - allegedly something about the wrong year given on the order form. Again, being distracted from what I was doing at work, I again took this at face value and pulled out my credit card and read off the correct year and CCV #. Immediately satisfied with this information, "Jim" abruptly changes the subject and starts in on a very convincing sales pitch for an extended warranty that I really need to purchase, seeing as the Garmin warranty is only 90 days labor and 1 year parts. I must give the man credit - I am not usually hood-winked into seeing the logic of extended warranties, but he did convince me to take advantage of your "special offer" for this 4 year extended warranty, now "discounted from 149 to 120 dollars". I agreed to let him add it to my purchase. When I hung up, I began to think a bit more clearly and looked up "GPS warranties" on Google. I really should not have been surprised to find that GPS extended warranties from companies like Mack are available for $39.95.
When I got home around 5:00 PM, I called "Jim" back to ask him to remove the warranty from my purchase. As I expected, the pleasant man I talked to earlier in the day was now not so pleasant anymore, and he proceeded to tell me all about how Mack warranties are inferior to what they offer; that they have deductibles where theirs does not, and that I must purchase ANY warranty from the place I buy the equipment. Below is information taken directly from http://www.beachcamera.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=MKGPSGR500 regarding the Mack three year extended warranty:
"This warranty covers all parts and labor for three (3) years after the manufacturer's warranty expires. The GPS unit or PDA will be guaranteed to operate properly according to manufacturer's specifications and Mack will repair or replace the equipment no charge to you (includes all parts and labor). This warranty covers a one-time screen replacement..."

Quite obviously, "Jim" lied to me about the warranty. I understand perfectly well what they're doing - low-balling the price so services like PriceScan will pop them to the top of their list, then they make it up by selling warranties at 3 times their market value. I cannot and will not tolerate calling my home under false pretenses of there being a problem with my credit card (which there quite obviously wasn't) to get me to buy a warranty at 4 times the going price. This is the old "bait and switch" strategy with a new and disturbing evil twist. Do NOT do business with these people. Your credit card company WILL NOT help you if crooks like these have already obtained your information.

"Beware! Trusted Dealer aka Redtagsavings are the worst online retailers I EVER dealt with. I made my order with them, then 11 days later they sent me an email saying it's not in stock. I called them and they were super rude. When I asked their supervisor if this is the way they handle their business he said "what, are you trying to be intimidating" and hung up the phone! Please think twice about using them. I'll NEVER use them again."

"I ordered a Kodak camera, Extra battery and a deluxe carry bag. When I received my order, the carry bag was too small for my camera and was for a mini digital cam corder and the battery charger for my camera was missing. I called and was told they would send the battery charger and the right carry bag to me. Finally after about three weeks later I still had not received charger or the bag. They kept telling me they would send them. Finally I talked to Johnson, he said they had not sent it because I had not returned the small bag. I explained that I had been told to return the small bag in the box the deluxe bag was sent in when I received it. He gave me a Return number RA# and I returned the small bag. I kept calling for a tracking number for the bag and after three months later I had three wrong tracking numbers and still no charger or bag. I have been calling week after week to get a tracking number for my bag and 4/26/06 I called and talked to Michael R. McNealson he ask for my credit card number and my Social Security Number which I did not give him. I ask why he needed this information and John or Anthony I think was his name got on the phone and used a lot of bad language and a lot of vulgar language, so I decided to contact the Better business Bureau and my Visa Dept. I have been very patient over the past almost five months, but enough is enough. This is the worst company I have ever done business with. You should go on to Bizrate.com, Pricegrabber.com, Pricerunner.com, Pricescan.com, Buyerzone.com, and read all the BAD REVIEWS!!!!!!!! Also type go Trusted Dealer in your address bar and you will find many more BAD REVIEWS!!!!
Just a reminder! Trusted Dealer also know as Red Tag Savings is BAD NEWS!!!!!!!!
More information I found - Digital Delivered, Inc., d.b.a. DigitalDelivered.com, RedTagSavings.com, and TrustedDealer.com 771-773 Coney Island Avenue, Kensington TrustedDealer.com and RedTagSavings.com use 771, and DigitalDelivered.com uses 773. Open on Sunday. On TrustedDealer's contact page now lists 673 Coney Island Ave, which appears elsewhere here many times. The RedTagSavings site claims they are RedTag Savings Inc. No such name found for NY, but Red Tag Inc. registered to a CPA on Bedford Avenue appears to be them. You can also see a picture of their store front, it’s a joke!

"INTERNET SCAMMING
TrustedDealer.com and RedTagSaving.com

Please be aware of the following scam that the company above which operates out of at least two company names out of Coney Island, New York perpetrates.

They advertise a product at an extreme discount price, and then when you try to order it they “up sell a lot” of overpriced and misrepresented accessories. They also change company names and increase the shipping.

I ordered a Casio EX-Z750 camera for $239 and $15 shipping. They sold me a battery that was represented to me as 3 TIMES the life of the original battery that comes with the camera, and a $39 camera case for $70. I got an exact duplicate of the battery that comes with the camera ($20 value) and a $10 generic case. They also increased my shipping & handling from $15 to $25. Frauded out of $50.

So I got screwed. Don’t you get screwed. These people are not to be trusted. READ THEIR RETURN POLICY 15% RESTOCKING, AND UNOPENED PACKAGES. I wonder if they would have been out of stock if I didn’t upgrade. These companies are worth investigating and I will be notifying the Attorney General of the State of New York.

"I ordered an out of production CoolPix 8800 digital camera over the phone rather than online because I wanted to be sure I was getting a new factory fresh USA camera with everything that normally comes with the new camera. I wanted to be sure it was not refurbished or grey market. I asked all the appropriate questions to be sure I would be getting what I wanted. I was assured I would. The camera arrived 3/7/06 without a USA warranty enclosed. The camera did not come in the normal sealed box.

I called then and explained I had not gotten what I ordered. I was told to ship it back and they would pay the cost of me shipping it. I shipped it on 3/8/06.

On 3/14/06 I called to see if it had arrived. I was on hold for 30 minutes. I kept getting sales and they kept transferring me but I would end up back with sales again. I was told as of yesterday the camera had not arrived. He said I could call back tomorrow but that they should call me when they receive it.

It is easy to get someone in sales but a different matter to reach someone in customer service.

One hour later my returned receipt arrived back from them in the mail, signed on 3/10/06. I called again and was told they had received it after all, that the warehouse failed to make the update in the computer. He told me I would get the credit for the camera and my shipping costs by tomorrow morning, 3/15/06.

I called and asked for the store manager on 3/20/06. I was told they were not a store. I was asked what department I wanted. I said I wanted the person in charge. He said of what department. I said I realized there might be various departments but there had to be someone that was in charge of all of them. He suggested I call back later.

I called back and after being on hold for 1 hour I reached some who told me I was issued a credit on 3/17/06 but for an amount which did not include what it cost me to ship it back.

I called again on 3/21/06 after discovering no credit had been issued to my account as I had been told on 3/20/06. They again listened to my story and put me on hold. He came back I was told again the credit was issued 3/17/06 but may take up to 48 business hours to post. He said I would be credited the shipping costs the next Friday, 3/24/06.

As of 3/24/06 no credit had been issued for the camera or for shipping. I called again and was told he had to check with billing. He came back to the phone and said he was the manager. He said I had not been credited yet but not to worry I would be credited today or tomorrow, Saturday, 3/25/06. He said it takes time to issue a credit. I told him I had been told three times (by Anthony on 3/14/06 I would get it 3/15/06, by Bruce on 3/20/06 that it was issued on 3/17/06, by Anthony on 3/21/06 that it was issued 3/17/06 but would take 48 business hours to post) that I had already been credited. He said he had other calls and did not have time to deal with me.

As of 4/1/06 no credit has been issued to my account. Luckily I do have proof they received the camera and I put the charge into dispute with the credit card company.

It seems this was a scam from the beginning. Do business with this company at your own peril.
