"My GS 883 arrived in pristine condition — for example, the plastic wrap was still on the cork. I’d say I received an immaculate, unused top-shelf rod for the price of a mid-range rod. I haven’t had a chance to fish with it yet, but based on some backyard casting, I agree that it has the great moderate action feel that G Series rods are known for. I can’t wait to try it out on a nearby river."
