"I recently ordered a Canon lens from TriState. The lens appears to be new, works great and arrived on time. However, it arrived without a warranty card from Canon. I called Canon to ask about it, and they said that TriState is not on their list of authorized distributors. This means that Canon technically doesn't warrant lenses distributed by non-authorized resellers such as TriState. When I called TriState to ask about this, they said "Oh, no problem - we'll send out a warranty card." The warranty card I received was not from Canon; it was a generic warranty card with TriState's name on it. I'm not sure what kind of warranty service I will get if this lens breaks.

The lens I bought was inexpensive and works great, so I'm not too stressed about this situation. However, buyers should be aware that they may not be able to get warranty cards / service from Canon if they buy Canon products from TriState."

"I got a new Nikon “D750 no WiFi” from TriState delivered to California in 8 days. I only used the free shipping and did not upgrade to faster shipping. The camera is not a USA product but I knew that because it is the “no WiFi” version which is not sold by Nikon USA. I selected the grey product because it is around $300 cheaper.

The box is a NIkon box. In the product description part of the box, there is a small print which says registered for Nikon Korea. I verified the camera serial number on the Nikon website that the camera is not part of the previous recalls on D750. The serial number on the box matches the number on the camera.

I took some shots with different lens and the camera seems to be good. The shutter count on my first shot is 1 so it is a new camera.

The few accessories (battery, charger, ...) that came with the camera is almost identical to the D750 I ordered from Nikon USA a month ago. The only difference is the charger came with a electric cord, not with an odd sized electric plug.

By taking some risk of grey market product (eg: no Nikon USA warranty) to exchange for some savings, TriState delivered what I expected.
