"I definitely was skeptical with all the negative reviews I saw out there on the web. I don't have much faith in manufacture warranty and I wasn't in a big hurry so for the savings I would get from purchasing through TriState, I figured that I didn't have anything to lose.

"After investigating a variety of sources, TriState readily informed me that this item did not have a US warranty and they offered a free one year warranty with this new product. I have used Tamron lenses with my 1st SLR, a screw mount Pentax I purchased in 1968, and have never had any issues. Then the follow up about this lens' mount is for Canon's smaller sized sensor noted by the "-ES" designation insurring that the buyer in fully informed about the limitations of this lens. Then 2 more follow-ups just to be sure. I knew I had purchased from the Right Vendor.
