"Haven't been happy with the experience. I have attempted to contact totem twice since sending in my phone, I have not recieved a single reply. I know throught the postal tracking the phone was recieved over a week ago. Totem did not notify me they recieved the phone nor can I get any replys via email as to how long the wait is for payment on merchandise they have already recieved.

Update as of August 6th and since July 31st Totem has yet to contact me in any way except for their reply to this posting. I still have not been emailed or sent payment for products I mailed in going on 3 weeks now. "

"Was a little skeptical to sell my old iPhone 4 online as I wasn't sure what kind of price I would receive (since my phone wasn't in mint condition) and how long it would take receive the payment. After looking at multiple sell-back sites, I decided on Hello Totem (offered most money/had good reviews). The process was actually very simple and Hello Totem was very helpful and responsive. "How Totem could have got such great reviews I will never know. Sent in two I phones - 4/16 and 4/25 - received a quote which I approved and then that was it - I have never been paid - I have contacted them on numerous occassions but nothing has happened. Yet another rip off.
7/27 - since I posted the review above I have indeed been paid. Sadly it took a public review to get a response from this company. My payment information was correct unlike they stated. Totem just never responded to my numerous requests for payment."

"I shopped around a few other phone return sites. I have an older iPhone 4 that is in decent condition. I have never used HelloTotem before. Found site through a simple online search. Felt comfortable with the site and overall process The pricing was competitive so I pulled the trigger.

I told my wife and brother in law about the site. They both just keep all their old phones. I have no why....the are hoarders I guess!!

I was unsure of Totem at first. But, then i looked at other reviews and notice that they were in fact an EXCELLENT Company. I went to the website and as i was about to checkout i got a message saying sign up for a bonus and i waited for the email and then it instructed me to reply to the email. And i did just that, next thing you know i was greeted by the founder of the company! I was originally quoted 150 but then i asked nick (the owner) if he could do better and he did. I got $170 for my iphone 4 16gb. I was going to take the check but then i decided to take paypal. I went back and forth on the payment option. If you are going to sell your electronic device, sell to this company! It took 2 days for it to be delivered and 1 day for the money to come in. So very fast! I will be selling my iPhone 5 when the 5s comes out to this company!"
