Stole my money

"I place an order back in April. After an initial email to say 1 item was out of stock they have failed to respond to any further emails. I emailed Michael McLoone on 6th June asking for a full refund but still silence. Disgusting :("

Excellent Service

"Bought some spokes and paid for Next Day Delivery, tracked them the next day and the Royal Mail did not have the tracking number on their system!
Called Total Cycling and got answered the second attempt, they assured me my package was shipped on the day of purchase.
As my Next Day Delivery did not arrive in the time that it should have (not the sellers fault this is down to the Royal Mail) they refunded me the balance of shipping fees back.
Item showed up on the RM system later that day and was delivered the next day.
So all very good despite the NEGATIVE REVIEWS, will use again

Shocking service from amateurs

"Incredibly rude customer services who, having refused to send to Spain because they thought it was a fraudulent transaction, then send it to Spain after I requested. it was sent to my billing address. Very slow to respond to communication. Very slow to let you know what's happening. I WILL NOT be using this bunch of clowns again! I'm not even sure I'll get what I ordered."

Surprisingly excellent service (I say "surprisingly" based on their otherwise relatively low ratings)

"Let me be clear here: when I placed my order (on a Sunday) and wasn't able to reach this store to confirm my order the next day because nobody was picking up the phone, I became worried and started checking their ratings on resellerratings etc. (I know, I should have done it before placing my order, not after, but anyway).

When I saw other people's comments about bad customer service etc., I became very upset and even started looking for alternaties. But then I managed to reach the shop via a different phone number listed on the totalcycling's facebook page, and Mike from the shop explained to me that it was St. Patrick's day and therefore there was no one at the store. The following day I managed to reach the actual store (Mark, if I remember correctly) who made sure that my order was processed urgently and went out on that same day. Since I requested rush delivery, the following day (on Wednesday) I already had my order delivered to me in London. I couldn't be happier about the whole experience because I was only staying in London for 2 days, and if Mark hadn't been responsive enough, I would've left before my package arrived.

Normally, I don't post reviews online (unless something really bad happens and I feel the need to complain) but given how low ratings of these guys are, I though it would be fair if I share my positive experience for a change.

Excellent

"I saw that Total Cycling had a Tacx Neo turbo trainer in stock but at 10% more than Wiggle. Quick phone call and they price matched without hesitation. Ordered the trainer and it appeared on my doorstep a few days later. Had to ring them once to make a minor change to delivery details and they answered the phone immediately and sorted the issue.
My experience was very satisfactory. Have ordered a few items previously including a bike frame and was similarly satisfied. I would have no hesitation in recommending.

So unprofessional... bad customer service

"Ordered an item from them because they were the cheapest, now I know why. Was showing in stock but wasn't and didn't think to tell me until days later. Tried to ring but no-one picks up, after many tries throughout the day someone did but she was rude and acted as though they were doing me a favour. Got the item (a TT visor) and it was marked/scratched, claimed it was straight from Madison Cycles or something and that's how they are. I decided to send it back, they didn't want to pay return postage and just made life incredibly difficult - 3 days after it was returned still hadn't had a refund so forced to call them, eventually got through and was told it would be done 'soon' - that took another 2 days, all for a £25 item. Wish I had never set sight on this company and Google should stop indexing their products, especially as they clearly aren't in stock."

I strongly advise you: TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.

"Total Cycling has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Only order from them if you're okay with potentially not receiving your item and having them be unresponsive. I bought a pair of Ortlieb panniers from them over a month ago. They never arrived and Total Cycling has been incredibly unhelpful and uncaring. It's been a huge headache following up multiple times with Total Cycling and the shipping companies to no avail. "

Wish I'd read these reviews before ordering!

"There's a clear theme in these reviews - items advertised but not actually in stock, no response to emails, false promises, late deliveries or refunds and overall, poor customer service. Here's my story. Cassette and freewheel ordered in Sept 2015. A phone call received two days later saying items not actually in stock, so will be a few days before being despatched. No problem, I wasn't in a rush for them. Money taken via PayPal though. November came, but no items received. Email sent that was not responded to. Second one sent in January. Another phone call received from Peter, who said my order and emails had been overlooked. They didn't have the freewheel in stock, but could get it from France in a week. Refund was offered, but I agreed to wait. Peter promised to ring me in a week to let me know position. This phone call wasn't received, so chased by phone yesterday. Louise answered & agreed to look into it and ring back, but surprise, surprise, items were received today. Accompanying invoice was generated 7 minutes after my call. Thank you Louise for achieving something in 7 minutes that Peter couldn't in 4 months! "

"Here is my bad experience with Total Cycling.
I ordered something online for my husband's birthday, the item was advertised in stock on their website. As soon as I placed the order they charged my credit card. The next day I receive an email from customer service saying they don't actually have the item but should arrive at their warehouse in 10 day. Ten+ days go by (and so does my husband's birthday) at this point I ask to cancel the order and issue a refund. Another 2 weeks go by and no refund finally customer service replies saying in their last email I was offered an order cancellation and refund but I never replied........no true as I had copy of my email to confirm it. Anyway the order is finally cancelled and I received my refund although is not a full refund, it's 8GBP less as they decided not to refund the shipping costs for a shipment that actually never happened!! I'm never going to order from this company again!!!

"A absolute box shifter of a company… they take your money, deliver a box and thats it. I've ordered a number of things over the years but recently gained a faulty product from them which broke causing damage to my bike. Their level of disinterest was unbelievable, they refuse to even look at the £100 worth of purchase to check it and didn't even offer an apology for the damage caused… In my view they would be better named 'Total C*nts'"

"Avoid this company at all cost, they are a fraudulent company. I ordered a hydrolic breakset from them and after waiting several weeks with no delivery and no response from their customer service email have disputed my order with my Visa credit card customer service. My credit card customer service attempted contacting Total Cycling via the phone number on my statement and via the phone number on their website, both of which we inactive phone numbers. It is my conclusion that this company is a joke and I would advise anyone and everyone to avoid them at any cost."
