"This company is rediculous.
It is a joke really. I bought a new camera for my daughter from this company 10 days before Christmas. We were on vacation. 2 days before Christmas they call me and say they have to ship it to our billing address because of credit card fraud. So Christmas morning, my daughter did not have her main gift to open. We got back about a week after Christmas, and the camera still isn't here 17 days later. We called the company and they said they had yet another glitch sending it to our billing address and were going to send it a week from today.
We ordered her camera and we are expected to wait 24 days before we get it when we paid for quick shipping? I don't think so.
This company is a joke and I have had nothing but problems from them.
I definantly would NOT recommend buying ANYTHING from them, unless you enjoy feeling like a second class citizen.

"I searched extensively online for a camera with an optical viewfinder, and once I made my choice from the few models with that feature available, I began searching for the best price from a company with integrity. I settled on Top Choice Digital, and was very pleased with their service. Shipping was timely, and the price was the lowest I was able to find. I will not hesitate to recommend Top Choice Digital to anyone looking for cameras and/or accessories."

"I was totally satisfied with my purchase. I needed the gift to arrive overnight and I received it in good condition as promised. I also found topchoice to have a broad selection of camera equipment and the best price on the camera lens I bought. Thanks!"

"Horrible. Bait and switch. Advertised a refurbished projector in a sealed box. Of course, when they called to try to sell accessories, they then tried to tell me that it didn't come with a bulb and that I would have to pay $99 for one. What a scam--all factory refurbished Optoma projectors include a bulb. BUYER BEWARE."

"This place was so horrid. Please don’t fall victim to their strategies like I did. I’m glad everyone who had the opportunity to cancel was able to. I was unlucky and only found out about their bad reviews after I had placed and confirmed my order.

I placed an order for a LG 32” LCD TV (32LG30), which they advertised for $475 on their website. I should’ve been wary of a website offering this TV for so cheap when other places (Amazon.com, Circuit City, etc.) were selling it for $575 and up. I never had problems with these types of internet merchants, so I was naïve and thought it would be okay.

I placed my order through their website on Dec 28, 2008 and the next day I received an email stating that I had to call them at ext 277 to confirm my order. I called and the guy, whose name I did not catch, sounded annoyed and in a hurry. He confirmed my address and tried to sell me an HDMI cable for about $50 (apparently on sale for half off) and a 3 year warranty for about $80. I agreed to the HDMI cable b/c I remembered HDMI wires were expensive and I thought I should get one (though this was a while ago and I can only blame my own stupidity for agreeing and not researching first). I declined on the warranty. He then started babbling really fast and before I knew it, he had me agreeing to a holiday package deal. He gave me the TOTAL ORDER PRICE of $569.99. I thought it was still a pretty good deal, so I agreed. He then hung up right away—I guess this way I wouldn’t have much time to realize what a rip-off I was given and cancel.

I had a feeling that something wasn’t right, but I had other errands and was only able to find out about their terrible reviews during my 15-min of free time when I went to find info on TCD. I wanted to cancel my order the next day, but part of my order already shipped (the HDMI cable and a cleaning solution apart of the package deal). When I received the package on Dec 30, I opened the box and took a look at the invoice. I was appalled to see that the total shot up to $699.18. Apparently, the guy only gave me a subtotal and he didn’t include the tax. He also never mentioned there would be a handling and insurance fee. TCD has a consumer agreement on their website that says they MAY impose a handling and insurance charge, but nowhere during that call did he inform me of such. If I wanted to buy a TV for $699.18, I would’ve just purchased from Amazon.com. I didn’t understand how a $475 TV with an HDMI cable that only retailed for $16.99 (half that price on amazon.com) and a cleaning solution retailed at $5 ($3.75 at many websites) would cost me $569.99, not including tax and shipping.

I phoned the next day and waited for a rep for 20 mins. Finally, a rep named Brad answered (I made sure to get the guy’s name this time). I was expecting one of those in-a-hurry-and-annoyed voices and I was ready to deal with the hell others have dealt with that I read about, but he sounded very mellow and calm. I told him it was outrageous I was being charged $699.18 when the previous guy told me the TOTAL of the order would be $569.99. He looked into this for me and informed me this was b/c it was the subtotal and they had to charge tax, blah blah… Then there was the handling and insurance. After explaining to him that I didn’t understand how a $475 TV could end up costing $699.18, and that the previous guy never even told me about a handling and insurance fee, he said the most he could do was to cut the handling and insurance in half. I was unsatisfied and asked what the status of my TV was b/c I wanted to cancel my order. Brad told me that the order was already processed and they already informed their shipping service, so I would be receiving a call within the next few days to set up delivery. He then said they wanted their customers to be satisfied, so he’ll see if he could waive the handling and insurance charge and put me on hold for 5 mins. He came back telling me that his supervisor or whomever informed him it would be okay to waive the handling and insurance charge since I had not been informed of this charge and that they would credit this back to my credit card. This would make the total price of my order $660.16. While doing the credit, Brad put me on hold again. I decided to calculate the costs and see what the price difference would be if I had purchased form Amazon.com instead (including the HDMI cable and the cleaning solution). No surprise, it still would’ve been cheaper at $640. Now I’m out $20, though I suppose it’s better than the initial $60. Brad returned and told me that the credit had been processed and that I should see it within 5 to 7 business days. With nothing else I could do, we hung up.

Now I just have to wait and see if the credit will be posted to my credit card and if their delivery company will actually call me within the next few days…

I will never place another order with topchoicedigital.com again. Lesson learned! Please, consumers beware!

"Bought a Garmin Nuvi 760 GPS for Christmas and had it shipped to another address. I received an email that I must call them to complete my order. When I called them, they offered to sell me updated maps at 1/2 price only if I order them with the GPS. I remembered seeing a guarantee on the Garmin site that they will update all maps for free within 60 days of purchase, so I told them I would call them back. I called back to cancel my order after finding the GPS for only $15 more on Amazon. They either were trying to sell me something I did not need, or it was used, or it was not a North American model. Thankfully, I did not need to find out as my new GPS from Amazon showed up 2 days later in perfect condition and with updated maps already installed."

"I also am one of those people who never takes the time to write a review, but, for your sake, I am! I placed my order for a camera lens (because they had the best price) and chose upgraded shipping in order to receive my item in time for Christmas. I, too, received the email stating they needed to "confirm" my order, so I called and was asked if I wanted the Japanese or American version of the lens - the difference being that the Japanese version had plastic instead of glass for the lens (odd, I thought, but my husband is the photography guru). So the lens price then almost DOUBLED (and was now no longer the cheapest price, but I wanted it to come in time for Christmas and I was still taken aback by my order going from $300 to almost $600 that I didn't even think to respond by saying "NO WAY!"). No lens by Christmas. I called today and spent my obligatory half hour on hold, to be sent on to the next person and waited another ten minutes, but since the lens hadn't even shipped yet, I THANKFULLY was able to cancel the order. I also had sent repeated emails and tried to call during hours they were supposedly open with no response (starting Friday and just today, Tuesday, had success).

PAY A FEW DOLLARS MORE AND GO ELSEWHERE! TOP CHOICE DIGITAL IS A SCAM!!!!

"I placed an online order for a camera from topchoice digital on the 9th and received an order confirmation the same day. The next day, I received another email stating: "In order to further verify your order #__________, we will need to speak with you on the phone. Please call our processing department at 1-***-***-**** Extension 266 so we may verify and process your order." I called and got the message: "Messages may not be left for mailbox 0," before the phone hung up. I called the number back, but did not dial the extension, but depressed #2 for customer service when given the automated options. Put on hold for so long, I finally hung up. I then emailed them to cancel the order if they could not fill it, as I didn't have time to mess around with poor service.
The next day I received another email exactly like the first one mentioned about calling them. After getting the same response when trying to call them, I emailed the ****@**** given in the order confirmation email and told them to cancel the order. Again, no response or acknowledgement of my email. I ordered the camera from another company the next day.
On the 15th I received the second camera I had ordered and the same afternoon an email from ****@**** stating my order was processed. I replied to the email that I had already cancelled the order, but it was returned as not a valid email address. I then emailed the cancellation to ****@**** and received an auto email from Radiant Communications instead of Topchoice Digital. I had never heard of Radiant Communications previously. This was followed by an email from Radiant Communications that they had received an email they believed was meant for TopChoice Digital. I then checked my sent file and the email was definitely sent to Topchoicedigital.com, so explain how Radiant Communications got it?
On the 17th I received an email from ordertracking@topchoicedigital that my order had been shipped. It arrived on the 19th and I refused it. UPS delivered it back to Topchoice Digital on the 22nd and on the 29th, I still was waiting for my refund. BAD, BAD experience and terrible communication and service!

"Order was placed on 12/22 salesperson contacted me on 12/24 attempting to sell me batteries because he said the stock factory camera came with a 15 minute battery, I did not bite on that BS line. He proceeded to sell me a storage card 2 GB for $89. When I told him to cancel the order he agreed to the original order of $226.99 however I needed to pay $19.95 S&H fee. I told him that I have a screen print of the transaction and it does not show any such fees. Now I have a UPS tracking number but no pick up by UPS has been requested. I suspect that my credit card has been charged with no order fullfilment. These guys are SCAM ARTISTS

"I canceled my order for a Garmin Nuvi 255W. After placing the order I received an email telling me I needed to call and verify my order. They told me they didn't have a billing address for me, which I clearly remember entering. After that they tried to upsell me three times and when I refused they added a $20 "handling an insurance" charge to my order. When I told them I wanted to cancel my order I was put on hold for 20 minutes and then hung up on as soon as they canceled it. Nothing about this experience was positive, complete rip off."

"I placed an order at TopChoiceDigital.com on Dec 17/08. I didn't hear anything from them for a couple of days (usually confirmation emails arrive right away). On Monday (Dec 22), I googled them for reviews and was pretty horrified at what I found: I did NOT want to deal with a company that got "fraud" and "scam" feedback from people. I wanted to "stop payment" on the transaction (like you would with a check) and called my bank's credit card line - but you can't do that. I didn't want to call TopChoiceDigital in case they gave me a lot of hassle. I checked my CC account online - there was no charge yet (PHEW!).

On Tuesday (Dec 23) while I was thinking about what to do, they called me to confirm my order and I said I wanted to cancel it. They asked why, and I said I'd gotten the same item as a birthday present to my surprise. They said they would email me a cancellation confirmation within the hour.

I didn't get it, so I emailed them today to say that I would like the cancellation email. A few hours later, I thought to check my junk-mail box. Sure enough, there were emails there from Thursday and Friday asking me to confirm, AND the cancellation confirmation from Tuesday. PHEW! I emailed them saying to disregard my last email about not getting the cancellation email.

If you are coming to this page after placing your order, and after reading the reviews you want to cancel, just make sure after cancelling, that you have the cancellation email (and your order number). If you can check your credit card account online, do so. If you can't, you can probably call your bank/credit company to confirm if there is a charge on your account.

I thought about reporting my card lost/stolen or cancelling my account altogether, but found out that they can STILL charge your account because you agreed to the transaction before doing so. So I decided not to do that. Instead, if your account gets charged, you can dispute a transaction with your CC company and they can try to get the $ back for you. Make sure you have the order number and evidence of cancellation (like their email, and that's why I emailed them asking to cancel when I thought they hadn't emailed me, because if I needed it, then it could be some proof that I tried to cancel the order).

"I normally don't write reviews but I want to let buyers know what a great company Top Choice Digital is. All negative reviews are not fair. I did call but I'm happy because they just want a safe transaction for me by asking the delivery address, nothing else, they did not promote something else for me to buy. They even said they can't deliver before Christmas but I got it today, December 23rd! I will buy again from them and recommend them to friends. Great guys, keep up the good work!!! Very satisfied with my purchase, a Garmin Nuvi 750."

"I read the recent reviews that have been posted about this site, but I decided to take a chance since they advertised the lowest price for the product I was interested in (Canon SD 880 IS). I placed my order, got the email about calling in to verify order, called and left a message, got no call back after a few hours, called again, verified my order, and then I recieved the package 2 days later just like the guy said I would. It arrived in perfect condition. There were no signs that the package had been tampered with. There weren't even any fingerprints on the camera. So I did not have the experience that so many others have claimed to have had. I will consider ordering from them again. By the way, the Canon SD 880 IS is a pretty great little camera. I'd even say it takes better pictures than my Canon S3 IS."
