Scam company beware

"They took my 1300.00 for a saw that 6 weeks later still hasn’t been shipped. I can’t get ahold of anyone via phone or email. I have been sent notification that my product has been received and is about to ship only to get notified that it will be another month minimum due to back order. It’s just a cycle to keep your money without providing anything, beware."

Horrible Service

"On Sunday 8/20 I placed an order with Toolorbit. And paid for 2 day delivery. On Tuesday 8/22 I started calling about my delivery. It's now Thursday 8/24 and still no delivery and no response from the numerous phone messages I left. I would not shop with this merchant ever again. And urge you to shop elsewhere."

Overcharged shipment. No communication.

"I purchased a drill press vice from ToolOrbit online. 2 weeks after ordering the item I called the company because it hadn't arrived yet. They didn't have stock of the item and were waiting on a delivery from the manufacturer. This was not made clear when i purchased the item.

When the item arrived the postman required extra payment to cover unpaid postage.
I paid ToolOrbit $11.41 for shipping.
They paid USPS $6.83.
When the item arrived I had to pay USPS an extra S8.28.

I emailed ToolOrbit twice regarding this issue. I said I was fine paying the total cost of shipping, but I felt I was owed the difference between the 11.41 I paid and the 6.83 they applied.

I received no response from ToolOrbit. I will never do business with them again.

Poorest customer service I have ever encountered!

"2 weeks after ordering a replacement screwdriver bit, I contacted them because I had not seen it. After 5 attempts and getting nothing but an answering machine, I finally got a human on the other end. Was told there was an issue with the shipping address and they would get it straightened out immediately and I should see it in 3-5 days. 2 more weeks later, I contact them again and I am now told the manufacturer has it on back-order and they will have some in a week and a half or so, then they will ship it to me! WHAT A JOKE!!!!
No thank you, cancel my order. I refuse to do business with companies who are shady and can't even give you the same answer twice in a row. There are plenty of honest businesses out there more than willing to bend over backwards for your business. Seems these guys just want to bend you over!

"I've never had someone give me quite so much attitude while placing an order. Didn't get as far as to give him my credit card information so that's a bonus but if you're looking for someone to be a general jerk and act like you are doing them a favor, most definitely choose TOOLORBIT.COM"

Charged me for express delivery but didn't ship with it

"I had a weekend project for which I needed a tool. So on the previous Monday, I ordered it from Tool Orbit and, to be sure it arrived by Friday, I paid an extra $27 for "express 2-day shipping." On Wednesday, instead of delivery I got an email saying your order is shipping & to expect it in 4-7 business days. I ended up having to rent the tool from Home Depot and my multiple emails & voice mails regarding a refund for the express shipping went unanswered. "

TOOK ALMOST 4 WEEKS TO SHIP ITEM. GAVE ME NO NOTICE. MADE BOGUS EXCUSES

"They sent me a message back when I complained and here it is. The storm they are mentioning hit in the 4th week after the order. The item should have shipped well before that. They only sent the tracking info finally after the storm. Changing item numbers is their own screw up and incompetence. When I ordered it, it should have been pulled and shipped. Why would it change all of a sudden? That is ridiculous. If I ordered something, it should have been in their hands or they should not have sold it to me in the first place.

They should have contacted me regarding a delay. I have bought thousands of items on ebay before. Nothing like this. They are not competent enough to rightfully be in business.

Here is what they wrote:

Mr. Ari, to give you some perspective, depending on the varying factors in logistics such as weather (snowstorms, like the one that just passed on the east coast), the holidays ( a handful of our suppliers were actually closed for a few weeks), lack of availability, and items constantly changing item numbers, being replaced, upgraded, or discontinued all together just to name a few. Again, keep in mind we sell, repair, and order products for our customers, we do NOT manufacture (unless its our own brand i.e. interstate pneumatics, or big horn) and nor are we a shipping corporation ( i.e. UPS or fedex ) we apologize for any inconveniences, and thank you for choosing toolmart.?

Worst customer experience

"Placed an order on 12/28/15. By 1/12/16 I had received nothing since the order confirmation so I called them. Rude employee said that they were waiting on the item from the manufacturer and then it would ship out. Received voicemail on 1/13/16 saying they had received the item and I would be getting it in 4-7 business days. Called again on 1/26 because I still haven't received it. Same employee called me a liar about the voicemail (I still have it though) and then blamed it on the snow storm (I have received multiple packages in the past week). Said he would call the next day and update me and surprise surprise haven't heard from them. "

"I ordered a Wilton cross-slide vice from them at an admittedly unreasonably low price. I left a voice mail 30 days later to check on the order and got no return call. I called again in the afternoon and spoke with a real person. He stated that they were expecting a large shipment this week. I was put on hold briefly after asking him for a more accurate estimate on shipping to me. He then stated that the product had been discontinued and he was surprised that I hadn't been contacted about it. Fishy. He offered to call Jet and see if he could substitute the product for no extra charge. Even fishier, but I accepted, (knowing that it wouldn't happen) on the condition that they refund my payment if not successful. A few days later, my payment was refunded with no explanation or contact. OK, at least that part was easy.

Their sister/parent company, toolmarts.com, still shows the same product at the same ridiculously low price. And toolmarts has an even lower rating here!

"Tool or Bit showed the part I ordered to be in stock. I ordered Jan 1st, 2015. After a month or so, I started emailing them about the status of the part. No replies. Finally I called them and they told me they were out of stock. It is now March 31, 2015 and I still have not received the item. I have been charged for it but still have not gotten it and still no status updates. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Unbelievably BAD service all the way around."

"Terrible customer service and fulfillment. I will never do business with these people again.

11/28- placed order and was charged for merchandise.
12/17- Checked with tool orbit on merchandise. Apparently both items were back ordered. One item was due in from the manufacturer any day, the other was back ordered until Jan or Feb.
12/22- received an emailed shipment notification for both items.
1/2- checked in with tool orbit. The first item they originally claimed was on the way to their warehouse prior to being shipped to me. On 1/2 they now claim the manufacturer drop-shipped to the wrong customer. The second item is still back ordered.

At this point I paid for two items six weeks ago, have received nothing other than a misleading ship notification, and have conflicting stories as to what has happened.

The price was good, so I am going to wait another couple of weeks, but tool orbit has certainly not won any loyalty from me. I

""Customer service" lied to me twice. The worst experience I have ever had buying something on line. I am very disappointed with the service that I have received from ToolOrbit.com . My order was placed early in the day on November 26th, and I paid extra to have it delivered within three days. On December 2nd I called to find out why I had not received the item. I was told that you did not have it in stock and were waiting to get it in before shipping it to me. Then I was told that someone called me last Thursday to notify me that it was on back order. I told her that no one had contacted me about the item being on back order. Then I asked if you were opened on Thanksgiving, and was told no, they were closed that day. I then pointed out that she just told me that someone called me on Thanksgiving, and we both know that is a bunch of crap (I do not appreciate being lied to). I told her to find out the soonest she could get this delivered to me, and to call me back with that information. She called back leaving a message that it would be drop shipped and I would have it in two days. Three days later I receive an e-mail saying the item has now been drop shipped. This is nine days after the order was placed, paying extra for three day delivery. Do not buy from this company!

"I ordered tools October 1st from ToolOrbit because I needed the tools right away and ToolOrbit is 30 miles from my house. One day for First Class Mail.
When the items did not arrive by Sat. October 4, I went to Amazon, purchased the same tools at the same price and Amazon delivered on Tuesday, Oct. 7th.
I emailed Toolorbit to cancel my order but there was no response.
On Oct. 8th, they charged my card, still no tools. I emailed again on the 9th cancelling my order. No response.
I have filed a charge back with my bank.
These people are SLOW! See other reviews.
