worst online experience ever

"Order placed on August 17, 2020. Product ordered was Tonneau cover for 2010 Toyota Tundra 6’7” bed. Product shipped was Tonneau cover for 2019 Dodge Ram 5’7” bed. Merchant agrees that mistake was 100% their error (I ordered the correct model number – they shipped the wrong model number).
I called the seller, explained the problem and was told that “an agent would contact me.” After three days and no contact I again called the merchant, and was then told that I had to take photos of the box and the merchandise inside the box and submit to them so they could “consider my refund request.” I did so, and after another day was emailed a shipping label. I repackaged the product, brought it to a FedEx store and provided vendor with FedEx tracking number (771447435853).
Agent emailed me today that “I will submit your refund request to the accounting department and will notify you once an update is available. Please allow 1 to 7 business days to be notified.”
This is absurd. Vendor advertises “Free returns within 30 days of purchase.” Multiple calls, multiple hoops to jump through and multiple times that the vendor will “consider my refund request” for a mistake THAT WAS 100% THEIR ERROR.

Ridiculous

"Ok, I'm not a hard person to please. I gave every opportunity for this company to keep my business. I canceled and order the day after, and decided to go with something different. I called and was told it was canceled and would be refunded soon. 2 days later I received the cover. After contacting them again, 2 days later, I got a reply that I would get a shipping label emailed to me shortly. It's been 4 days since then and still no return label. Not going to ever consider ordering something from them again. "

Worst company I've ever dealt with!!!

"I cancelled an order same day I placed it, emailed the company 4 times including the same day cancelation within a week or so, after a week or so they send the product to me anyway, will be returned and will never use them nor will I recommend them to anyone else , $250.00 is nothing to sneeze at unless you have money like that now days."

You can't do business like this

"Found a cover I wanted on their website and asked a few questions with the chat feature. The rep told me that if I purchased the cover through him, it was guaranteed to fit, otherwise they would pick it up and make it right for free. I felt good about that and went ahead and ordered it. The rep told me it would ship in 5-6 days. Of course they charge my card right away. A few hours later I get an email stating that shipping is delayed and that the cover will ship (with 2-3 weeks once stay at home orders were lifted). I try to get more information but they were closed by then according to the phone number provided. So I go back to the website to try and chat with someone in reference to this. Can't get a live rep on the chat either, only a bot. I then start a new chat and pretend to have a question about a cover. Now I suddenly get a live rep. I tell her I want to cancel the order (this is now only several hours after my order). She says she created a "ticket" and someone would reach out to me. This is Friday by the way. I then realized they are closed for the weekend (unless you are a new customer of course with an order for them). I get an email Monday morning that the email I received was accurate and that manufacturing was delayed so the shipping time wasn't even known. They said they would issue my refund and email me when it's completed. I'm still waiting for the credit a week later. "

Review by Anonymous User I purchased a tonneau cover for my new truck which should have been a 2 day delivery but they shipped it FedEx and it sat in a warehouse in East St.Louis for over a week and Customer Service was no help at all. When I finally received the cover after 2 weeks of trying to get it delivered or replaced, it was damaged, they asked for pics and I have not received a reply. A reputable company would have shipped a replacement when FedEx lost the first one.

so far.... so bad

"I was told the order would be shipped to my house on 22nd and now fedex is saying 25th. I called Tonneau and was told nothing could be done b/c it was up to Fedex. However, I shipped items regularly and they can call Fedex to deliver the package. I should have read the reviews before placing the order. I would recommend going with another brand or purchase elsewhere. "

Worst Company Ever

"Their customer service reps are about as rude as the come. I purchased a cover using Affirm. Affirm when through just fine, took the down payment off my credit card sent me back to Tonneau Covers World website to finalize the order. Order wouldn't go through. Kept asking me for a credit card. I called into their customer service department and spoke with Sloan who had no idea how Affirm works. Kept asking me if Affirm gave me an account number. I've had to dispute the down payment with my bank. I went to another website, used affirm with no issues. I wouldn't recommend this site all all. West customer service ever!"

I should have listened

"On their website it says call in and save up to 10%. I'll give them this part because it actually happened! I called in and saved 8% which equals... happy. So I moved forward and ordered the Pace Edwards Switchback and made sure to get an ETA because I was leery about some of the bad reviews and wanted to double and triple check on shipping. The person on the phone assured me it would shipping out of their warehouse from a town that was in my state and assured me three separate times that it wouldn't take longer than a week. Sooo a week goes by and I call to get my tracking number and I'm informed that the order actually went to the manufacturer and hasn't even been made yet!!!! The CSR than goes on to tell me that its because my truck is so new, which was a very stupid thing to say because it's the same body style for the last four years!! The sales rep I spoke to openly lied to me and we know this without a doubt because come to find out! THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A WAREHOUSE IN THE CITY SHE SAID IT WAS ORIGINALLY SHIPPING FROM!!!! This company is dishonest and I cancelled my order because I'm afraid if something really bad goes wrong like damages or incorrect items shipped what they'll do. Stay away from these guys they're truly a bad bad company. BTW..they've yet to refund my money although admittedly haven't shipped or even (so they say) made my cover. "

One of my top two worst experiences ever.

"I am nearly 60 years old. This being one of my top two worst experiences should be telling you something. Before calling this vendor to inquire about my order I waited Four weeks on something that was supposed to ship in three. I tried email, but they ignored that. I finally called and complained so the person I spoke with created a "ticket" and another person reached out to me. He said he would check with the manufacturer and get back to. I waited four days before having to call back because, guess what, he never got back to me. The manufacturer was blamed for the delay and I was given an expected ship date of 6 June. Six weeks after I ordered, three weeks after original ship date. I filed a dispute with my credit card company for non receipt of goods purchased and they did their thing. I sent another email on the morning of June 6 asking for an update. ..crickets.. I called the next morning and spoke with my contact and he says NOW the expected ship date is SOMETIME next week.
You decide if you think they deserve your business.
Update 6/16/2019
I received my cover yesterday, and while it is beautiful, there was a "Build Ticket" created by the manufacturer which had a request date of 5/22/2019 which proves that the RealTruck representative lied to me.

Do not buy from this company.

"This company will not stand behind the 30 day satisfaction guarantee. i spoke to the customer service rep to return a cover due to poor fit and overall subpar quality. I was informed that it was a warranty issue because I installed the cover. I did ask "how am I supposed to check fit without installing" and was again informed that my issue is a warrenty issue. The warrenty person emailed and said they needed pic's. i in turn emailed back with my concerns (i did attach a copy of the return policy) to no avail. They tech sent the same exact email as the first time. This company will keep delaying the return by trying to make it a warranty issue. I will never buy from them again and the next email to the tech will include a pic of me burning the cover as that's how poorly they treat the customer."

Go Elsewhaer

"There are a number of resellers for Tonneau covers but this one is one of the worst resellers I have ever dealt with. Prices are the same as many others but delivery and tech support is horrible.
I was told the cover would ship the next day when I placed the order. I called after 5 days and spoke with a very surly customer service rep who said I will receive an email on ship date in the next two days is there anything else you need.

I had a leak in the front corners of the cover and called tech support for advice. I was told he does not have the installation instructions but get some spray foam and fill the gaps, WOW what an answer.

Again the cover is fine but this company is horrible.
