I'm writing to thank you for your excellent customer service and prompt delivery. We were looking for a top-end camera and we looked at lots of online companies before we found the astounding prices at thundercameras.com. We promptly bought a Nicon D 90 with a Nicon 18 - 200 lens. Most companies abandon you after making a sale but Thundercameras.com contacted us after the sale to make sure the everything was correct. The sales representative 'Josh' was particularly helpful and pleasant and went out of his way to make sure we received the best possible deal. The product arrived before it was expected and we are now happily snapping away at everything we can find! Thank you again Thundercameras.com!

"I ordered online an inexpensive Canon lens. It was listed as an imported model. That evening I received a voicemail message on my mobile phone. the next day I called back to verify address and credit card. They also confirmed that the lens was compatible with my camera. Not unexpectedly, they tried to get me to upgrade to a "steel mount" instead of the "plastic mount" on the lens I ordered. I indicated that I had no problem with the inexpensive plastic mount and did not want to change the order. I received a call back that the order was being prepared for shipment and that "the manager approved giving me a no cost upgrade to the steel mount lens." I thanked them and received the lens the very next day (I live in the NY area). What was delivered was exactly what I had ordered (plastic mount), so I have no complaints. "

"I recently ordered a Canon DSLR through Thunder Cameras since they had good competitive prices and were offering a special 2 for 1 deal on batteries and memory cards. I spoke with Tyler in the sales department and found him to be very knowledgeable in helping me to choose the various accessories that I was interested in. I received the order in a timely manner but found that one of the accessories was sent incorrectly and a few were missing.
I contacted the customer service department and talked to Steven about the shipping error and missing items. He was very helpful in resolving the minor errors in the order. I found that the customer service representative was efficient and very helpful in responding to my concerns. I found the items in my mailbox just days after talking to him. I called after receiving the items and arranged to have the incorrect item returned.
On the whole, my experience with the sales and customer service people was very satisfying and I found them to be efficient and pleasant to deal with. I would use Thunder Cameras again for future cameras and accessories.

"I was shopping for a Canon telephoto lens and found that ThunderCameras had the lowest price. I noticed that there were two listings for similarly described lenses and wanted to know the difference. I call their number during Sunday hours but only got a message telling me their hours. OK, I figured somebody forgot to turn off the automatic answering machine. The next day I went ahead an ordered on line. The following day I received an e-mail and a phone message saying I needed to contac them for verification. I did so and was told the lens should arrive by the following Monday. Later on in the day I checked the order status and it said that the item was backordered. Then I received a message the same day saying the item was backordered and that I could cancel the order online from the order status page. But that did not work. I sent an e-mail requesting that the order be cancelled but did not receive a response. A week later, I still had not received a response, so I did what I should have done in the first place - called them and cancelled. The gentleman who I spoke with cancelled it immediately and apologized for any problems."

"i am 42 years old and been in the service industry most of this time. ThunderCameras is without a doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with. Long story short as I will just get angry going into details. I made the order, they call me and offer "expert" advice (for add on sales) I accept the advice and end up items that are NOT what they were portrayed as. I attempt to send them back and they just would not accept the return and made all sorts of excuses raising their voices at me on the phone telling me (I am an ex professional photographer for 15 years) that I did not know what I was talking about. Fearing I would not get some satisfaction I took the next best deal swapping out one of the lenses. The exchange took WEEKS!!! Turned out I spent WAY too much money for what i got and of course.. and import camera. BE WARNED!!!! DO NOT BUY OFF THIS COMPANY!!! THEY ARE OUT TO RIP YOU OFF!!!"

"I first made a purchase last night for a Canon Lens on Thunder Cameras, then I got to looking and saw that Thunder Cameras had Canon T2i packages for a very low price. I got up early and called right away this morning to change my order. It was no problem with them. As I was ordering the Canon T2i Essential Package i wanted the salesman (Robert) tried to sell me a Canon T1i instead and I did not want that one. Then he tried to sell me a battery and a battery charger too (very high priced one) and I did not want any one of those extras either. I just wanted the Essential Package. I got off the phone with them and everything seemed fine and I began to get really excited about my new camera. Within an hour I received an email stating that the order is not available and it is backordered and that there is a chance I wont be receiving it at all. I got back online and tried to order it again under my friends name and it did not say it was unavailable at all. A matter of fact, they sold it to me again and I did not receive the email because i went ahead and took the battery and charger. I cannot beleive they can get away with doing that!!! They just did not want to sell it to me because I did not want all the extras they were trying to sell me. There has got to be a law against that type of selling behavior. Like false advertising!!!"

"I had the worse experience from thunder cameras website. It is cheat to me. It use very low price to absorb customer and try to sell the very expensive accessories I just. The customer service is ok before you order and very bad after you order. And I hope everyone know this information and no one will be fooled by this website. I was trying to get one Canon 5d Mark II. The price on the web site was 1899.99
THEY don’t have this cameras! They tell to everybody about imported camera or was an international (gray-market) version, which means that it doesn’t come with the Canon USA warrantee. He also said that the menu options on the camera would be in Japanese and can’t be changed (I find that such a camera doesn’t exist, I called to Canon manufacture).
And try to sell you for $2500!!!! But will not tell you about price, you can’t see the price in the invoice as well! They sold me Sigma lenses, which don’t work with full frame camera body( I called to Canon)!!!
If you will try to see your order online, you can’t see it! They don’t have it!
Trucking number was fake!!!
They charged me 4499.99 , I tried to cancel my order, they did cancel it! They didn’t refund my money! They didn’t send me camera! This company is FROUD!!!
They push me to change my review and give them 5 stars!!!( Because they have my credit card number)
I did complain in my credit card company!And Thundercameras still didn’t refund my money!!!
I just tell everyone the truth and hope every one be careful with this website. All 5 stars review are fake, or they made people give them 5 stars!!!

"I placed my order for a Canon lens 18-135mm after brausing the Web. I found they have the best price. My order couldn't be procesed because of some dificulties with my international credit card.

"THis is the second order we have placed with Thunder Cameras. I ordered a battery grip for my Canon XTi and the price is incredible. I went shopping at a local camera store and they didn't have what I needed in stock and there price was $100. more. "I ordered a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS7 camera on 5-31. It was 279.00 w free shipping. WRONG. Got a Email 6-1 to call them. I called, the guy was trying to up sell me. long story short, I bought a Super Hi-Capacity Extended Life Lithium-ion Rechargeable Battery for 39.99. Special package deal and there was no free shipping. So I spent 339.00 to my door. Camera is superb, The only thing that disturbs me is the cheap battery will not work in this camera. Called, Talked with Stephen, he apologized and said that they had a problem with those batteries and said they were recalling them. Stephen said, he would refund my money. Today I noticed an email showing a credit to my charge account. Thanks for the fast service. I will consider buying from you again, because you have proven to me that you stand behind your products. thanks again "

"This seller does in fact have great prices. If you do decide to take advantage of those, be sure to review with the salesman that will call you to confirm your credit card info what you are buying. Before purchasing, check all specifications in regards to U.S. vs. import models. They will call to upsell your battery if you are purchasing an import model camera. I did take the upgraded battery which enabled them to sell me the U.S. model instead of an import but this switch was not disclosed as part of my phone call.

Again, prices are good but review in detail what exactly you are purchasing.
