Online store service is very bad

"I cancelled one of my online order due to wrong size i got. Now almost six days they didn't pick the item and untill now i didn't receive any call from courier. So this is the worst experience in my online buying. I will not suggest shoemart online store to any one and this is my last deal with shoemart online.

Your the BEST!

" You Guys are the BEST! You know it's close to impossible to fit an old "shoe dog" from a distance no less. Not only do they fit heel to toe they also fit HEEL TO BALL! They are GREAT!
They fit and also look GREAT! If you ask even an experienced shoe person what fitting heel to ball means you going to get a strange look. When you deal with The Shoemart you are getting the best! They know how to take care of you, and they know how to fit!

Very bad team in Sahara Center

"I was in shara Center shoe mart with a request of different sizes which was not available in the store and the phiplpino staffers was not professional and ready to help. They gave me all the excuses possible not to transfer the item . Very dicuseted from their attitude "

Horrible customer service

"I bought $550 Alden shoes that came undone after 6 months of regular use. The owner accused me of riding a bike or motorcycle and destroying the shoes???? I have never had shoes like these fall apart in 6 months. The owner didn't want to give me refund or replace the shoes, and tried to argue with me that I misused them. Horrible customer service, arrogant beyond imagination, and totally wrong on all counts. Stay away from this seller. "

Love my Alden Shoes

"I was hesitant at first to make a purchase because of the low star rating. I did a little more research and found they carry my Alden brand shoes. I was looking for a shoe with great support since I am on my feet all day. A friend recommend that I look at the Alden CDI shoes since I have an extremely high arch. I was local to their Norwalk Location so I stopped in and met Ed one of the owners. His knowledge of the shoes and brand was incredible. He told me he has been selling their shoes for over 40 years. I certainly knew I was in good hands. I have been wearing the mens Alden 311 shoes for over a month and the pain in my foot has been reduced significantly. I feel like in another month it will be completely gone. I just wanted to say thank you to Ed for helping me and he said to check out their online store. I certainly will be!"

"Zero stars for theshoemart dot com. Do not buy from this place if there is any chance that you will need to return the shoes.
- I bought a $120 pair of Cole Haan shoes.
- They were too tight across the top of my feet.
- I returned the shoes via their RMA return process.
- I never got a refund, so I waited the 10 business days they claim for processing returns.
- I called them on business day 11, and the customer service reps lied to me on the phone.

They claimed to have sent me a message on why they couldn't refund my money.
- Lie #1 - When I asked for the email they said to have sent, they couldn't produce it.
- Lie #2 - I asked for a refund and they said they couldn't give me an exchange or a refund (everyone knows they just return shoes to the manufacturer for a credit).
- Lie #3 - They called me back and offered me a 1 time exchange, but a refund was impossible.
So, I filed a dispute/claim with Paypal (luckily I purchased through Paypal) - Paypal reviewed the issues from both sides.
- Lie #4 - theshoemart dot com stated through the Paypal dispute they could do a 1 time refund of $66 on the $120 purchase.

What a total lie. The customer service department (which consists of 2 people) will talk down to you and continually lie to you about how the only thing they can do is send the shoes you don't want, back to you.
They will act like they are doing you a favor in sending you back the shoes you don't want.
Paypal reviewed my dispute and gave me a full refund.

Never ever buy from this place.
Cheers & good luck in buying your new shoes from Zappos or Amazon!

"HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!

They have still not shipped the shoes I ordered two weeks ago yet they told me a week ago that they were going out that afternoon.

Spend the extra $10 or whatever the amount is and buy from a reputable firm.

"When I ordered my pair of boots , it said shipping with in 1 to 2 business days !!! after i just paid and ordered i received an email saying Please allow 5-10 business days for processing , I emailed their customer service to investigate their customer service is really poor and they responded in a non customer friendly manner! i returned the boots immediately and yet waiting for a refund !!!! its been almost 3 weeks now , will never buy from this place again , i dislike their customer service ."

"Knowing that they did have a B&M store and knowing the credit card protection I have, I gave them a shot. My order had no issues at all. I bought some Ecco boots when they were 50% off. My item arrive quickly from CT to CA with no defects. I am very happy with my purchase and the price I paid for them."

"Should you receive the exact shoe you ordered, on time and the fit is good and the merchandise has zero defects you might just be happy with your The ShoeMart order. Just as you would ordering from any other on-line shoe retailer. Do not choose The ShoeMart if you are considering the 90 day return policy or the promise of "easy returns". The only easy part of the easy returns process is the Fedex tracking. The ShoeMart does staff a call answering group that will track that you have called in to inquire about your return. Should you call in a following day, a call answering representative will be happy to remind you that you have called in already and that you are bothering them. You will be offered no further status information other than what is already on-line...awaiting merchandise. If they actually provided details and kept the customer informed they might be offering "Customer Service" which they are clearly trying to avoid. The only staff inspecting your return is the owner and the owner only comes to the office perhaps once every two weeks, or so it seems. Your return status will always be "awaiting merchandise". Take a close look at the easy returns page on The ShoeMarts website its presented rather vaguely that once the merchandise is received AND inspected. When the return was received is irrelevant. The inspection may very well occur several days perhaps weeks after they sign for your return shipment. Next, if youre anticipating a refund, theyve typed 7 to 10 days following the inspection. Assuming you can do without your shoes and money and you trust The ShoeMart to eventually do whats right, good for you. However, you may be better off auctioning your ill-fitting or defective shoes on eBay rather than taking a chance with the crooked RMA system at The ShoeMart. Or, if you had been smart and paid by bankcard or credit card and not paypal, contact your bank and charge the transaction back? Perhaps The ShoeMart will respond to VISA taking their money away? Save yourself the potential frustration and just buy from another on-line retailer or better yet, pay a little sales tax and buy shoes you can try on first, locally.

I had been followed up within 10 days after receipt of my returned merchandise. As is clearly stated on The ShoeMarts website. Perhaps I would have been contacted sooner but apparently The ShoeMarts return process is in part dependent upon tags or labels to identify to the inspecting staff, return status. I was advised it had taken so long for someone to contact me because some label used for their internal identification was placed on the inside of the box rather than on the outside allowing a returned shoe box to be placed back onto the shelf with ready to sell in-stock merchandise allowing the return to be overlooked.

I was offered a refund or a replacement pair of boots which would need to be drop shipped from the manufacturer. I am going to trust The ShoeMart to send me a replacement pair of boots. I was told I would have the new boots in about a week from yesterday 03/10.

MARCH 18TH THE DAY MY NEW REPLACEMENT BOOTS ARE TO ARRIVE VIA FEDEX. FOR SOME REASON MY FEDEX DELIVERY MANAGER WOULD NOT RESPOND FOR THIS PACKAGE. AFTER CONTACTING FEDEX DIRECTLY WE EVENTUALLY DETERMINED THAT THE PACKAGE HAD BEEN ADDRESSED TO AN INCORRECT STREET NUMBER (99vs88). NOW, MISTAKES OCCUR EVEN IN A CONVOLUTED MESS SUCH AS THIS ORDER. BUT HERE IS THE ICING ON THE CAKE...I CALLED THE SHOEMART AND SIMPLY ASKED WHAT ADDRESS THE NEW BOOTS HAD BEEN SENT TO AND THE RESPONSE WAS READ TO ME AS THE CORRECT ADDRESS....A BLATANT LIE!

GOOD THING MY NEIGHBOR AT 5399 JUST ACROSS THE STREET IS DECENT AND HAD EVERYTHING WAITING FOR ME WHEN I ARRIVED HOME. IT ALL WORKED OUT AND I HAD ONE MORE PERSON TO TELL TO STAY AWAY FROM THE SHOEMART.COM

"I really wanted to like The Shoemart. They have an extensive selection and pretty decent prices. I ordered a pair of premium Carmina shoes at a discount and was very happy with them (even if one of the shoe bags was missing). So, I went back to see what other Carmina models they had in my size.

I put "Carmina" in to the search bar and then clicked on "Carmina" on the results page to filter down to only the brand I wanted as the search had also returned some other brands. After filtering down to only the brand I wanted, I used the available "BY US SIZES:" filter to see what I thought would be shoes in my US size. It returned a few styles and one in particular I wanted to buy. So I clicked on it and was served the product page. The only size available was 10, so I quickly ordered it and paid without paying much attention to further details.

A few days later I was pleasantly surprised by the package that arrived at work from The Shoemart. I opened it and took a look at the shoes. They were very handsome and I was pleased. I did notice that one of the laces was a bit mangled, but I figured it was okay for the price. I brought them home and when I took them out of the box I noticed that they were in fact a 10 UK. I was flabbergasted since I was under the impression that the Shoemart site had served me my US size.

I returned to retrace my steps at Theshoemart.com and I quickly realized that the filtering software on their site is faulty. When clicking on what clearly says "BY US SIZES:" their software actually serves you UK sizes. I took screen grabs thinking that I would help them with their checkout flow while giving them a reason not to charge me for return shipping. I wrote a detailed email recounting my steps on their site and sent it to their "customer service" email along with my screen grabs.

Nobody replied to my email, so I called their "customer service" number to speak with a representative. This must happen more often than I thought, because the lady who answered the phone immediately went in to something about "Doc Martins" and I informed her that I had purchased Carmina shoes. She had no interest in hearing my side of the story. She may have been among the worst customer service representatives I've dealt with. She remained steadfast that it was my fault for not reading every detail that their flawed software served. They would be charging me to return shoes I never would have ordered if their site were well written and tested.

So, take this as you will. I found the customer service lacking any sense of client satisfaction. They are content to chug away selling one or two pairs of shoes to a large amount of folks. The internet affords them the luxury of new customers on a daily basis.

"Unlike everyone else, I had a flawless experience with The ShoeMart. I ordered a pair of Naot sandals on June 8, 2013. (Saturday). I saved $25.00 compared to any other price available online. My shoes arrived today, June 12, 2013. (Wednesday). They are the right size, color, and fit perfectly. Granted, I did not have any conversations with customer service, but my experience unlike most people was great.
