Experienced poor manger help

"2101 Gap store is changing over to a Gap factory outlet . I purchased a sweater yesterday that was 50 percent off and final sale . However , I didn’t think I purchased a defective sweater . Gap always has 50 percent off so it was still expensive and no bargain . When I took it home size small cardigan sweater was so badly stretched out it almost came above my knees . I called the store and a nice sales girl said no problem if you believe it’s stretched out we can over ride the return policy and take it back . I drive almost 35 minutes , parked , put money in the meter and was told by a manager no way . It didn’t matter what her sales person said , how the sweater looked or how I was so incovienced . It was a disappointing experience and a manger who truly does not care about gap customers . "

The worst experience ever

"I had the worst experience with Gap. I made an order and waited two months just to realize the order was returned to Gap. They didn't deliver as "UPS couldn't find my apartment number" even if there is my name on the buzzer of course. After that GAP didn't bother to send me email that the order was shipped back and even didn't bother to REFUND my money. So one month after they shipped the order back (and I was checking the tracking number meanwhile) I found out all of this. GAP customer support said they are sorry and offered 20% off for my next purchase! And that's not the end. I tried to apply 20% code for the next purchase and the code DIDN'T WORK. So there will be no new purchase at Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic ever."

The worst spammers

"Ordered two pair of jeans. They are mostly OK.

But Gap decided it was a license to spam the hell out of my mailbox. First day - one unsolicited email unrelated to order. Second day - 4 (four) of those! OK, unsubscribe. But Gap would not even include clear Unsubscribe link into the email, it is an image - so you have to allow downloading images (and allow them to track you). Next day - 3 more spam. For a moment I've though maybe I forgot to unsubscribe, did it again, did not help. Then unsubscribed from a different computer. They keep spamming 3-4 emails a day. OK, now I've a reason to avoid them forever, including physical store.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

"This is the worst customer service and clothing store I have ever had. First, I ordered $ 300 worth of clothes and 75% of them were canceled due to a backorder which was not showing on their website when I ordered . No one also contacted me to let me know that almost my entire order was canceled. Adding to that the refund was wrong, I had to contact them to get the correct amount for the refund.

Also, my order took 2 MONTHS to get here. After 5 emails I sent them asking for a prepaid shipping label because the website wouldn't allow me to print one for some unknown reason, I got an automatic email saying they don't could not help me with my request due to high call volume.

So at the end of the day 75% of my order was canceled and what I received that didn't match correctly I'm not getting a refund because they are too busy.

This is by far the worst customer service ever. I understand we are in a Covid-19 situation, but a big company like this shouldn't offer customer service like this, especially when on the news they said they made a money tone when Covid-19.

WILL.NEVER.BUY.GAP.ANYMORE

Horribly slow shipping and returns

"Horribly slow shipping and return processing. Waited 3 weeks to get my order. Now waiting on 3 weeks to get my refund via the prepaid shipping label that was included in the order and still no refund yet. I contacted customer service twice and they told me to wait 5 weeks for the refund to be processed! What a joke! Will never order online at Gap ever again!"

Unacceptably SLOW Return Process

"In the past several months I have spent about $500 on spring and summer clothes for myself and grandchildren. I returned an item on April 13th with their prepaid label. To date (May 11th) I still have no refund and after two phone calls to customer service, they tell me I'll need to wait at least 6 weeks before they can investigate. That is a completely unacceptable policy. I'm done with Gap. There are other places to buy clothes. Buyer beware. "

Worst online shopping experience ever x 2!

"I ordered two outfits for gifts to be sent. They shipped part of one outfit and said the other item wasn't available. I called them and said it showed it was avail online still so I reordered it in 2 sizes. Again got a notice say not available. Several weeks later and it still shows its available and it's not! I waited 3 weeks for the other item to arrive the tracking showed an arrival date but the actual tracking never moved and turns out it was never shipped either. All this time I am communicating back and forth with the recipient of the gifts and with Gap. Calling Gap is also a huge waste of time, waiting for them to answer the phone and listening to them profusely apologizing. I shop online a lot and this is the worst experience I have ever had. The first time I ordered from them was a nightmare too but thought I would give them another chance. I will never order from them again."

They cheat/confuse online customers by not invoicing the actual price they deduct

"The Gap changes its prices and its discount percentage figures everyday. So you buy something today with a 40% disc and it ends up costing more than tomorrow with a different price and discount of 35%. They play with the figures EVERYDAY. This is nothing compared to the item arriving with a completely NEW "unit price" and discount that mathematically, does not add up. And if you have a separate discount code, your invoice does not show this. So all in all, they seem to charge one figure on the checkout page, and another on the actual paper invoice u receive with the item! Is this legal? I have spent hours on the phone trying to find out why my invoice does not reflect the actual amount they deduct from my credit card, and they apologise profusely and give a further 10% discount and say they have given feedback and are working to fix the system problem! But I complained about this 7 months ago!! As a customer, I am never clear about how much actual discount I get, or how much each item costs after multiple supposed discounts are applied. Try buying 10 items.. You'll see. You won't have any idea how much each item costs. It is one price on the screen, another on the email they send, and a different one on the invoice when items arrive. Their practices are borderline fraudulent. "

Will never shop there again!

"I went on your site to get my wife a holiday season gift and you think 10% off something else should just make me a happy camper huh? I asked that there be a gift packaging with a personalized note. That did not happen! I got a partial order with a wrinkled item thrown in a plastic bag in my mailbox with no packaging and no note! Thank you Gap for your great customer service. If you didn't have the item in the first place why the heck are you telling me (8 DAYS LATER) when I should have been receiving my wife's sweater? I could have gone to the store and purchased her a gift at the store 8 days ago! So, no thank you on your cheap 10% offer, you all can stick that 10% where the sun does not shine and stop sending me offers to shop at any of your stores! I am not interested."
