"We were very pleased with our order from The Bedroom Space. We ordered an entire bedroom worth of furniture for our two boys, two twin headboards, a chest of drawers, a dresser and mirror, and a nightstand. Everything was shipped in a timely manner and arrived in good condition. Communication could have been better. I was told the furniture would be shipped by a certain date, and it wasn't, although it was shipped shortly thereafter. There was minor damage on one piece, but if I expected perfection in a little boys' room, I'd be sorely disappointed by the end of the day. I think that the furniture is of the quality one would expect for the price. It does not stand up to a six-year-old boy climbing the drawers like a ladder, but not much would. Overall we are pleased that we chose to order from The Bedroom Space. We certainly couldn't have found what we needed from retailers in our rural area!"

"I would not even think of ordering furniture from the bedroom space again. In fact, I don't think I would order a picture frame from them/you. I had issues with my order and sent the below email. I never heard from anyone. I called MULTIPLE times about my order and always received the run around. I was beyond disappointed and I am spreading the word. I receive alot of compliments about my daughter's desk and many people ask me where I got it from. I take that opportunity to convey my displeasure with your company every time I am asked. I guess you are sending the email asking for my opinion so far after the delivery of my order, that you were hoping my righteous indignation had dissipated - you were wrong. Read on for the email sent.

To Whom It May Concern,

I sent this email three days ago and have not received a response. I called your office at ***-***-**** and spoke with Bobbie who was not helpful. At this point, I want to cancel my order. When I asked her if that was an option and if I could speak with someone who had the authority to make the decision, she essentially told me no – they would just have to call me back. When I asked for the number to corporate, she told me no that you only operated through email. I find that very hard to believe, but as you can see through my email, I was unsuccessful at actually getting the number I asked for. When I asked for the name of the person at Sun Delivery that she sent my claim to, she would not give it to me, but instead told me that she would have to search through a “bazillion” emails to find the right one. She did forward me the email of the person, but that kind of impersonal attitude does not help in a situation where you already have a distressed customer.

That being said – I don’t want to deal with the Bedroom Space anymore. I ordered this furniture on 12/04/09. I did not receive delivery from your delegated authority until 01/25 at which point it was delivered damaged. I submitted the claim information on 01/27 and have yet to hear anything. I had to call on the third business day just to get a response. In addition, my receipt reads as follows:
“Ships In: Usually ships in 5 to 7 business days “

Somehow this was transposed from 5-7 days to 5-7 weeks. I have to assume that you feel justified because you started this statement with “usually”. At this point, I have paid for merchandise that has not met quality (it was cracked) nor have you met the commitment that you make on your website concerning shipment days and customer relations. I want to order this furniture from someone who values my business and will strive to treat me like a customer. I understand that mistakes happen, but when you fail to keep me informed of your actions to correct them, I have an issue with that. At the end of the day, I placed an order with your company, NOT Sun Delivery and my expectation is that the company I placed my order with will have the responsibility and authority to rectify any commitment failures – of which there are many.

I can be reached at ***-***-**** and I expect that someone will be calling me to discuss this situation. I kept my commitment to you, in that I have paid the bill, well before receipt of the merchandise; and at a minimum, I should receive an expedited response back from you.

"Ordered a Curio Cabinet. The Bedroom Space had HORRIBLE customer contact. Multiple delivery dates given when they knew they would not be met. Item was delayed in shipping from China and they could easily have checked with Sharelle who imports the items for retailers in the US (including the Bedroom Space). I called Sharelle to get ground truth. Multiple broken dates for delivery. Ordered premium delivery and setup in case a return was necessary. BS did discount my order 5% after the 3rd busted delivery date when I threatened to cancell the order. Charged my card within days of the order and I had to wait over 2 1/2 months for the item to arrive. Even worse, the shipper (Home Direct USA)was AWFUL to work with. I ended up having to take the day off to be home since I couldn't nail them down to less than a 3-4 hour window. No Saturday or evening delivery. Very apothetic. The Bedroom Space is terrible about sending email updates. Even if you call them they will just make up some date to get you off the phone. Best to find out from the importer the real truth. Sharelle was good at giving truthful info as best they knew it. The company they buy from in China was not great in comms with them. If I could have found this somewhere else I would have. Unfortunately the retailers all go through the same importer (Sharelle) in order to stock this item. Finally got the item and am very happy with it, but it was a pain to order, track, and deliver. Go in with your eyes open!"

"Do not deal with this company. Impossible to get anything resolved. Terrible customer service. Threats of "restocking fees" and "shipping fee returns" for errors that they refuse to correct. They just want you to shut up and go away. They have your money so what can you do???"

"We ordered two beds. The ordering process was fine and the beds themselves are very nice. Our problem was with the shipping. (As it seems to be with many people.) There was confusion about which shipping company was actually delivering our beds and also the shipping company was given the wrong phone number for us, so they couldn't reach us to set up a delivery date. This delayed our delivery. It took almost a month from the time we ordered the beds to when they were delivered."

"The price was LOW, the transaction was smooth, the product is great, however, shipping took 2-3 weeks to start. "Customer service so far has been fine The person who took my order, however, totally misspelled my first and last names. I requested and paid an additional fee for delivery that included installation. This was not noted on my order but my credit card was charged for it. When I was given a tracking # and checked the delivery date I was told it was 'curb side' delivery, that this particular shipping company did not do otherwise. A different shipping company is now in charge of getting the proper delivery, but still don't have a date."
