Lie about Inventory / Processing Times

"Skis.com is not transparent in how long it takes for your package to be processed. Do not buy from here. You may never get it or be stuck without gear for a planned trip. It’s taken 3+ weeks for an order they claimed to have “plenty of stock” of. Their customer service is also unable to do anything but “apologize”. Management is unreachable and hides from customers. Shop somewhere else and avoid the terrible experience I have had!"

Ruined ski season

"Ordered bindings Dec 11th as of Jan 18th not received - made multiple calls - each time was told they were being shipped - they weren't - not worth the few dollars you might save - missed half a ski season because of these **** - customer service was unbeleivably rude "

"We tried to buy a letter jacket there but the two times we went there they were not open. We called them to see if we could have them sew on patches and was literally talked down to for not buying the jacket there and told that since we did not buy the jacket there they would do nothing for us. It isnt rhat hard to treat people with kindness and just say I am sorry but we are not able to help you with that but here are some local recommendations. "

Mispriced Item, held order for a week

"I bought a pair of Ski Boots for what seemed like a great price on Tuesday March 15th. The seller held the order for a week, called me on a Saturday, and then again on a Monday leaving a message that they had mispriced the item. I didnt check the voice mail until Monday because it was a call from an unfamiliar out of state number so I just figured telemarketer. During this time I passed up another sale on boots because I thought I was set on with the boots I bought at SummitOnline. When I called them back on Monday they offered a 10% discount on the price they wanted them listed at on that Tuesday (399.99), however the boots were now on sale for $325 on their website. Quite a bit less than the measly 10% discount they offered to make up for their mistake. They wouldn't even apply the offered 10% discount to the $325 price in an attempt to retain my business. Needless to say I won't be using this company to purchase anything in the future."

"I ordered rollerblades from the site and after using them found I either was not into rollerblades like I thought or didn't like the product. I asked for a return and since they were used I received store credit. It took me a while to use that credit (about a year) but once I did I had no issues with getting something else and applying it. Also customer service is great - responsive and polite. "

"Hope you don't get a defective product. Ordered a pair of skates for my son and as soon as he put them on discovered a staple or nail poking my son's foot on the inside of the skate. Returned to get a different pair and was hit with a restocking fee (on a pair of skates that should be thrown-out not resold), not to mention the original shipping charge and then my cost to ship the defective skates back. When asked if they would just send me a replacement, non-defective pair they said they could and recharge my card the original amount! So, out $50 and no skates. Buyer beware and hope there is nothing wrong with anything you order from this store."

"Great folks! My shipment wasn't delivered on time because of UPS, but Summit took care of me by filing a claim right away. They were also ready to help ship out a replacement a.s.a.p. because I needed my boot warmers for a ski trip that same weekend. You can tell that they care about their customers and will go to any length to ensure their satisfaction.

"My wife and I were searching for skis last week and we finally found a pair that she liked. After much deliberation on whether to purchase them or not, we decided to go ahead and buy them. We then searched the cheapest site to make our buy, and came across Summit Sports Inc. They had the best price and the site was very easy to use. Conformation was quick and the skis arrived today, one week later! You can't go wrong!"
