"Horrible service and an absolute scam of a company! I am a university student so I always try and look for the cheapest option to fly home to visit my family from school and I discovered studentuniverse. I had booked my round trip flight with them taking westjet as the airline and I could not FATHOM how ridiculous the "hidden" policies they have. I had my departure flight in 2 days but I suddenly got sick and needed to go home 2 days before my flight so I called westjet and asked to ONLY rebook my departure flight, which they did for that day. So I fly home no problems until I decide to check my reservation for my return flight and it says it doesn't exist. So I call student universe and they tell me that they cancelled my return flight because I didn't go on the departure flight that i booked originally? Excuse me? I never asked for a cancelled return flight and they didn't even refund or credit me for the flight THAT I NEVER even took. They are just looking to take your money and it was nowhere written that this would be the case. After hours on the phone with the supervisor, nothing was done and all I kept hearing was "sorry for your troubles" This is a complete breach of consumer laws and I hope nobody has to go through this like I did. Do yourself a favor and book with Expedia or any other third party website or just through the airline itself"

"They make you think that the 'flexible' ticket means that you can change or cancel your flight at any point but it's only for 24 hours after you RESERVE your flight, which is already available without paying the extra fee. I called a week before my flight to try and cancel and they wouldn't let me even with a fee. Complete waste of time, would rather pay the extra $50 (which is all I saved) and book through the airline website. "

because this company imposed me to spend thousand of dollars in Turkey by sending the wrong ticket to me. as my flight ticket was on 14 September, and they took money from my account with 3-4 pieces of evidence (including my credit card, my student permit photo, my visa and calling to me ) but when i arrived in turkey the operators told me that your ticket does not exist. I lost my trip flight, wondering what I had to do. No call and no accommodation and help by Turkey airport and then I called by roaming charged cellphone to this company number(student universe), and surprisingly they said you did not buy a ticket from us! Then I called again after 50 minutes calling charging phone roamin again, and I asked them why they did not return my money if you did not issue me a ticket!! (last sentences by me ) anyway, I was disappointed and bought another ticket to return to my home country. fortunately, I got an email that they sent me a ticket for 2 days after for 16 September, so I stayed 2 days and a half there in Turkey( that was too expensive and nobody was answering, and felt responsible to that). i am wondering how this company works! i bought the same ticket from another company to go to my home country which was not so hard and I was frauded by just 50 50-dollar discount from this company that was my fault and will never repeated by me."
"I was looking for a cheap flight. StudentUniverse solved this problem. I will start journey from DAC to reach MCI. I will be checked in with my luggage in Dhaka to Singapore airlines and I expect this luggage to MCI airport from United airlines. Just to make sure this is a connecting flight. Because my younger brother went to South Alabama and did not find his luggage in his destination. He purchased his ticket from StudentUniverse. So I am afraid that what will be with my luggage. So I repeat, I will check in my luggage to Singapore airlines in Dhaka(DAC) airport and will expect my luggage automatically reach to MCI airport. If there is any anomaly in my understanding please let me know. I was expecting a discount during puschase, but did not get any option there. Sometimes airlines promote (complimentary) the seat from economy to higher classes like Premium economy, Business class etc., onboard. I am a first class government employee in Bangladesh. My organization encourage employee to pursue Ph.D. in abroad. Now I am a Ph.D. Student enrolled in University of Missouri-Kansas City, USA. So if there is any possibility to get a complimentary promotion of seats or any other complimentary advantages during the flight I will be very gratefully to StudentUniverse so that I can avail those advantages. StudentUniverse can request the airlines to treat me well during the flight which will be a great honor. Another question I have: Can you please provide me a detail on luggage parameters like weight, hight, number of luggage I can carry?"
